The plot sounds quite familiar to the plot of KBS's drama special called Red Teacher but the trailer feels very different. I am very curious about this one!

I bet the wife pretends to be dead because shes got a terminal illness so shes hoping it wont be such a shock for the husband one day, when shes really dead.

I am in no way surprised that there are other known actors, i was just listing reasons why it feels like this drama doesnt have any unique identity. There are actors that I keep seeing in many dramas usually playing the same type of character but that doesnt mean I associate those dramas together. Unfortunately, in this drama, these associations just came up themselves.

And come on, I know corruption is one hell of an issue that many countries (including mine) are trying to deal with, but dont tell me you are not tired of seeing same old story repeated in every law drama because I am and i havent even seen that many of them

The first 4 episodes were enjoyable but at the same time I felt like I am watching Suspicious Partner meets Age of Youth's Song Ji Won and while I love both i dont think I necessary wanted to see it in one drama. It doesnt help that there is like a half of the cast of SP /and/ there is this story of 'old rich men trying to hide their previous crimes/mistakes'. It just feels like there is nothing new about this drama, it only puts together pieces of other dramas (which is a pity bcs there /are/ new and interesting things).
I hope that, as the story progresses, the drama will find its unique identity.

I've been thinking about checking out other versions! The movie captured the sports-side of karuta quite nicely and I am a big fan of sports anime so i'll consider watching the anime ver. in the future. Unfortunately, I dont have that much of a free time and i haven't been in mood for any anime for like... two years already so checking out movie was the easiest choice :D. Thank you for recommendation, though ;)

first 15 episodes are sort of a "season 1" and episodes 16,17,18 were realeased as a 'sneak peak' for the rest of the episodes. I think (though i am not sure about that) that airing date of the rest of episodes is not set yet. Things got complicated due to chinas ban on LGBT+ material in media but it seems like creators of this drama are determined to air it properly.

he was really cute in Avengers Club. I thought he was from some idol group tbh!

This had such a perfect fairy-tale ending lmaooo. But it was OH SO SATISFYING!!

again, a beautifully made movie but a bit less enjoyable compared with the first one. Still, it gives those nice 'sports anime'vibes. And this time I am more confused about karuta than during watching the first movie... time to watch a youtube tutorial cause this series wont help me understand the game lol

i think this season is not an adaptation of a published story so we wont know untill we watch it. however, the same person is writing the story so who knows...

As a person who havent read manga or seen anime, I have really enjoyed the movie. Unfortunately, I feel like there should be dedicated some time to explanation of karuta or, to be exact, strategies behind the game. I had some previous knowledge of it (because my friend is a great fan of the series) but finding out that there are some "void verses" or whatever hour and a half into a movie isnt really good. When you consider the fact that there are 2 more movies in the series I think it should be a no brainer to explain the game properly at the very begining.

Anyways, I think that it was beautifully made and I enjoyed OST as well. I cant wait to watch the next part of the story!
