The novel is called 琉璃美人煞 (The Glass Maiden), you can find the text if you google that Chinese name (on sites like novel101) and then google translate. There's currently no English translation.

It's like a never-ending suffering for Sifeng. I think he's topping the list of most abuse males my gosh. I do feel bad for XJ being manipulated constantly (past and present lifetimes) though.

Youku is being greedy and scummy (people definitely complained to them). Also I think the investors wanted to reduce their financial losses since the drama was big budget and it ended up airing online only (original plan was for television broadcast).

I remembered Joy of Life (Qian Yu Nian) had a problem where the purchased eps were leaked and the production was like dont do that but people still did. Anyhow, I would sign up for youku but they redirect to cnpassport (basic info) and i dont live in china to input that lol.

For those wondering about the red texts on the airing schedule calendar, it refers to the option of VIP paying for the batch episodes listed each week on Thursday. Basically, instead of waiting for the eps to come out throughout the upcoming week, users can pay on thurs and get the whole batch for the week ahead (still have to wait til next thurs to pay for next batch). You can finish the show as early as sept 10th if you chose that option.

Go Ahead is more popular when taken into account (has subs for international viewers, has been broadcasted on tv instead of just web and ratings are good in China). It's also uploaded on youtube which increases availability. Plus there are good reviews and favorable impressions of it. While other dramas trending are south korean which has been more subbed and circulated more (or have aired for a while and kept the popularity).

But this is my speculation aha, I don't know the logistics that MDL uses to pick trending dramas. At least it's under top airing shows in China :D

I believe in another trailer (or was it mv?) showed that she intended to attack the father (he went on killing spree toward many of the sect members which tend to trigger her blue spiritual powers) but SF protected him by taking the hit instead.
Some more angst: if I remembered correctly in one of the trailers or music videos, there was a golden-winged man who chased XJ's mother and a child (Ling Long?) in the past and may have injured or killed her (the mom).

To elaborate on the stone thing a bit, it’s a nonliving object with energies that reacted to connections and was “made” by Siming since he deals with fate/star. Siming was trying to explain/defend that the stone connected those two since Hao Chen “made” the God of War in the heavens. Although he later muttered after Hap Chen left that Hao Chen doesnt know his own heart matters.

As for the sudden marriage agreement my guess is that he probably wanted to get closer to her and manipulate her on a path to diety to use her for war.

Yeah her title indicate genderless but since it got translated to english, they can pick either God or Goddess. Probably went with God since prior to the souls being split, past xuanji was played by a male actor

At this point, I think it's likely that Yuan Lang is the leader of the Tianxu sect. His lower face looks very similar with the mask on. Also, recalled that on ep 1, there was someone with a mask who was on the demon side fighting that looks like Yuan Lang alongside someone looking like the monkey demon (based on actor casting here)

I’m a bit iffy on this but if I remembered correctly the merman in one of the episodes (before ep 16) recalled that a beautiful sight was the God of War and the bird god (some type of bird) back then when he was a physician in the heavenly realm. I am assuming that they meet up often in the heavenly realm to chat at least and XJ bonded with SF that way.
