This drama sure loves throwing in "liu li" references throughout the show

Spotty translations (I am confused on some parts) but the gist of ep 45-53 based on the weibo leak:

Xuanji has woken up and knew the reasons behind everything Sifeng has done. She went to search for Sifeng in places they went to for the past two years (like when he was in a sedan chair, please refer to the trailers or mvs). At Fen? Ru? City she finally saw her nine past reincarnations (the scene where she drank wine). At last, she found Sifeng at West Valley, but Sifeng refused to acknowledge her and used every way to make her leave (like the fake wedding to catch demons and marry the A Lan girl…this seems like something to prevent/protect Xuanji from dying?). Xuanji grieved and her heart becomes broken, but still looked after/become entangled with Sifeng. The next scene/setting was when it was snowing and Sifeng and Xuanji ended up hugging and both went inside the house. Xuanji explained herself and the two people reconciled with the lovers’ curse being broken. Dijun (Hao Chen) planned to arrest/seize God of War back and Sifeng ended up in heavens. Xuanji wants to know where the colored glass cup (that holds Mo Sha Xing soul) is so that she can save Sifeng, but Sifeng refused. At this time, Yuan Lang (deputy chief) appeared and claimed that Xuanji is indeed Mo Sha Xing (that Dijun came down to prevent?? I am not sure about the Dijun part). Xuanji voluntarily becomes Luo Hou Ji Du (typhoon-like style occurred) after opening the colored glass cup from Sifeng. She left behind a sentence where Sifeng must find her after she disappeared (showed up in one of the trailers or mvs).

omg I remembered this drama! Watched 2 eps with my mom and she said to wait out the whole show. Will put this on my to-watch list as my mom likes the Novoland castle series (she likes winged people lol). Thanks

Sometimes when there are many sad scenes like in the recent batch of eps, I would end up skipping a couple of seconds so that it’s less painful to watch. But the acting is great (esp SF)

Grew up watching journey to the west too. Demons would disguised as normal people to fool others. There were some good ones who just cultivate and some whom learned their lessons. The three main members of the demon fighting group/finding the sultra were demons in some form and were given a second chance. Bird demons could be on either side but phoenixes are usually associated with the heavenly empress mother of the west.

Totally agree! Deputy chief doesnt really have any redeeming qualities. He has been evil for who knows how long.

I believe when weibo and baidu put the order of screenwriters, it's likely the first screenwriter has a larger part in the script writing.

Just wanted to add that Sansheng is licensed for movie/film/drama (basically they could adapt it to either medium).

Seven unfortunate lifetimes has license as well.

Author Jiu Lu Fei Xiang basically gave license permission to adapt to film for her Sansheng series (Sansheng, Siming, and Mozun). I believe Mozun has their own drama weibo page.

Just adding to this comment, Samsara world is probably the City of Flames shown in ep 1 where you enter your next lifetime and reincarnate. And for the glass figurine, it was Hao Chen who decided to use it, but then the glass figurine was accidentally broken by his helper and so God of War ended up with a body that looked like it was stitched back together.

I'm glad they added a connection to XJ and SF back then between god of war and golden bird.

He was a heavenly/star lord (probably same ranking as Siming) who has a major crush/love for Hao Chen's aunt that has passed away. He would end up in Samsara world (wandering world, drifting endlessly) and waited for someone like Hao Chen's aunt. Then God of War entered that world due to her punishment and has to go through 10 tribulations. She looked like Hao Chen's aunt because he used a glass figurine of his aunt. SF then followed her regardless of how much suffering he went through. The type to stick to his love til the end.
