It is very complex. Rest assured there's no cheating but the FL goes through some emotional rollercoaster later on when things are revealed.

SHE WAS NOT..ffs lol. You are seeing things as black and white. The plot and circumstances in the drama are clearly not black and white. Why shouldn't she have any contact with her ex ? Even if you take the ex-factor out, he is still her adoptive brother, kinda.

I am not justifying her actions, but I understand why she did what she did.

Considering the situation, the hug was nothing too bad. There was no cheating, whether emotional or otherwise because of the connection that they shared, the circumstance that they were in (though she was almost on the brink of it, emotionally), and yea it did upset the husband, it would upset any rational human being.. but he opted for divorce for another reason, and yes it did partially brought her back to her senses. He married her knowing full well how strong her bond with Jiang Cheng was, and the pain that she carried, and in the end, he succeeded getting her all to himself. She needed closure and she got it. All is well that ends well.

Sticked ? Brother, she was with him for a short while after the return and even then, never crossed the line. They grew up together like family, were in a long, loooong term relationship which ended in a bad way, and then he showed up again, and when she knew what was the real reason for the breakup, all those feelings and regrets hit her like whiplash. And yet when the ex asked to get back together, she firmly declined. And he backed off like a gentleman too. No one was the bad guy here, they were victims of their circumstances and the choices that they made.

I dont think we watched the same drama at all. Both ML and FL are flawed people driven by their circumstances. One of the good mature realistic dramas to come out of China.

His large stature would translate well as a warrior and military commander. He isn't the best actor out there ofc but he does the physical roles quite well. Doberman !

It is not about what kinda city Paris is. A certificate (in certain sectors like fashion, fine art, culinary art) from an institution or internship there matters a lot globally, specially in the fashion industry. Paris, Milan etc.

You can do MBA in hundreds of places and learn the same thing, but in the business world, a degree from Harvard Business School, London Business School, HEC Paris, McGill, Tsinghua, NUS, Uni of Melbourne etc will dwarf fresh candidates with education from other institutions.

Ofc they won't breakup at the final episode, it's a romcom, but *going abroad separation* trope is overused at this point, and that little thing is going to drag the whole series down.

Most boss/employee relationship stories follow a lot of similar tropes. What makes it better, is how well it is done. This so far is a very well made one, and characters whether the mains or supporting, do not feel two dimensional. Love is Sweet for example, most side characters were NPCs.

It is amusing to see people taking sides in this relationship and a lot of them have valid points, arguments and counter arguments. But the thing is, the couple, they both are ass at it. So while the upcoming doom would be sad and frustrating, I suppose a lot of viewers are waiting for it. Go on your separate ways, learn your lessons, fix the power imbalance in your relationship and if you truly cared for each other, then you will find your ways towards each other again. Otherwise, plenty of fish in the sea. Happens in real life.

For every Yusen/Xiguang or Zhiyu/Huxiu..there's the other side of the coin, Nian and Zhitao.
