On Sold Out on You May 31, 2026
Sweet show, but fell flat on it's face towards the end. Only the FL and the villagers impressed me. Ahn Hyoseop was bored the whole series. Kim Bum as a token second male lead. Still, good time pass. I can only draw parallels towards Our Universe in terms of disappointment. But that show fell off a cliff midway.

Does anyone overall know what a lead gets for a role in a korean drama,? Can someone tell me in usd? Doesnt need…
It depends on many things. Star power, production value. A tier actors get paid from the range of 150k USD to 400k USD per episode. Sometimes even more. A tier actors with global stardom I guess start from 300k USD (i.e. IU, Byeon Wooseok etc). Internationally acclaimed shows like, Squid Game, A tier actors earn much more per episode there.

No - there's a SML/SFL relationship story. There's a 3rd man that develops interest in FL but it's not reciprocated
I wouldn't call her dumb, but clueless, sure. Happens to inexperienced in relationships and workaholic people.

Of course, a French complaining about how his language is spoken. That's why I stopped speaking your language.…
Hye buddy, I would say a few words or two if my language was being butchered. What is the big deal about it ? Everyone knows that the actors don't speak the tongue fluently. That's why there are dialect coaches.

It's a sweet drama but I guess, if the couple, specially the ML had the ability to communicate in the relationship properly, it would be a 15 episode drama lol. But the final couple of episodes makes it worth the watch. Just once tho.

Again, kdramas' Noble Idiocy trope in romcom.
Almost every drama with romance tag uses the same tropes. How you use them though, that's the question. For noble idiocy, you can go the intelligent Till the end of moon, Healer, Alchemy of souls S2, fireworks of my heart route or the dumb Touch your heart, boys over flowers, begin again etc route.

Nice pretty fluff with a serious moment or two, nothing profound. It was quite enjoyable. Easy plot, pretty people, good music, stunning locations and cinematography. As Nam Dosan said, 'Mooooooneeeyyyy'.

The acting disparity between IU and Wooseok was noticeable but not bothersome. He wasn't hired for his acting that's for sure.

I have doubts about basic intelligence of the netizens who complained about about minor historical cockup. Really ? That kinda representation you're worried about and not the Prime Minister of Korea holding near absolute power ? Nonexistent cabinet or the opposition party lol

I really liked Jeon Jae Yeol on Coffee Prince and then some time ago I made the mistake of watching the disaster…
Whaddyamean...Her Private Life is a decent show.

they did good because this drama literally ruined careers . I will be shocked if wooseok gets cast in anything…
Come on man, it's not like the actors and creators killed the last living kiwi bird. Overreaction much ?

It's not just minor historical inaccuracies. It's a complete logical fallacy.
Bruh if you are one of the five Joseon enthusiast who cares about minor detail and spend a lot of time with archaeology and philology then sure, be my guest.

And besides, one can dislike or criticize logical fallacy, it's nothing to be outraged about lol

I don't think it was marketed as such. It's more of a whimsical rom com featuring fictional modern day royals. If it was a crime/mystery/thriller then sure, 16 episodes.

I am no Korean but personally I don't get the outrage over minor historical inaccuracy in a fictional show over a monarchy that doesn't even exist anymore. I don't think even the British royalists had this kind of a fit when The Crown (netflix show) took creative liberties over real history. Netizens can be ass sometimes. It's not even historical fiction. Just pure fiction.

Yeonsangun of Joseon having a time travelling chef in his court, Cheoljong of Joseon falling in love with a soul of a dude. Shit happens bruh

I think the drama could easily had 20 episodes so that the characters, the plot and the relationships can be more…
20 episodes ? Nah. A well written narrative can be done well within 12 episodes if the point is to just depict a romantic journey with sprinkles of politics in it. How much royal scheming can one take anyway. 20 episodes of that ? That is better off with stuff like Empress Ki.
