Not really. The writers early on appeared to set the second male lead as a love rival but sharply pivoted away…
He's there from the 2nd episode i think. There's no special way. FL moves to a new place, meets the guy and he shows interest. Not directly romantic but general interest.
Not really. The writers early on appeared to set the second male lead as a love rival but sharply pivoted away so nothing there. And there's the ex who very briefly tries to win her back in the later half of the show, unsuccessfully ofc. He serves as a catalyst for the leads.
The series juggles between various things including two very broken leads, so a love triangle would have exploded the heads of the viewers.
Nonsense show with plotholes enough to make Swiss cheese. But, it reminded me of the equally nonsense but fun Hollywood spy shows likes Chuck, Burn Notice etc. Intense chemistry between the main characters, including the leads, support, school kids even the cartoonish villains. That is why it's highly rated.
Something does happen to the grandma and there is somewhat of a white truck of doom hitting something but ..they get resolved lol. There is a death but that is on the first episode.
I suppose it would have been better if it was 16 episodes, but then again they would need to fill the excess time with nonsense, which this drama managed to avoid and always stayed to the point without wandering off.
Perhaps, 12 episodes with 1hr 20min each like Our Unwritten Seoul would have been better. Enough with my nitpicking ass. I loved the drama so who cares.
P.S.: Chae Jong Hyeop is in a competition with himself for green flag roles ha.
So many mixed reviews. Leads have chemistry, they don’t have chemistry? You love it, it wasn’t that great.…
Pretty good so far. Not a total melodrama, has a lot of positivity. The Chemistry between the leads is unlike any conventional romance because both the leads are deeply damaged souls who also are not on a destructive path. You have the second couple for the conventional one.
the screenwriter and the director fucking love Love triangles i don't have much hope for this show
You will hardly find any rom com without some elements of a triangle these days. However, it's Hyung sik in a comedy so his personality is gonna overwhelm anything else in the show. As long as the writing is not as crap as Heartbeat.
I was doomscrolling the other day and came across a random Climax clip. Mostly good comments though one hater there with various expletives regarding Ha Ji won and her showing skin and what not, you know, targeted stuff an anti fan would say. I am not the type to comment crap on any celeb but I got curious. That commentator wasn't even Korean or any type of eastern asian really. I wonder, how does one lose themselves in such delulu ? Could murdering kimchi all day , buying overpriced imported soju and talking shite online make one an honorary Korean netizen ?
For the life of me, I CANNOT understand these people, don't they have their own life (school, job, boyfriend/girlfriend,…
I was about to write the same thing, starting with exactly what you wrote.."for the life of me I can't understand..." then i saw this. You speak my mind.
That's rabid people on the internet for ya. Like who cares what kinda earrings she wears ? bruh
You can google the story, it's weird and crazy. The actress is quite young, like 18 now. When she was 17, she was seen on a social media post wearing very expensive earrings, and the netizens went crazy, how can such a young person afford such expensive stuff. Then she said, her mum gave it to her. Then the netizens went crazier, how can her family afford such things ? Her dad is a civil servant, is he corrupt ? He claimed those were not real. That hoopla held up the drama. After much ado about nothing which dragged the authorities to investigate, it turns out that the earrings were indeed imitations of a brand and were cheap.
You can see the hateful comments on reddit or wherever. Spoiled brat, show off this or that. I normally don't pay attention to these things but I accidentally stumbled upon it. The fandom are insane. It was just a fucking selfie lol
It was a while since I liked a Korean romance drama. So many of them disappointed me recently. This one was good…
The director(s) have a very good track record, plus the writer is decent too. Her last work was back in 2018 which was decent too. Most of the time, it boils down to the showrunners.
