I don't hate the second lead unlike many others do, tho I know he has issues. Anywho, to cleanse your palate, watch Lai Weiming's new web drama, Glaze of love. It's sweet. He's the lead.
Recently, I started watching C-dramas, but I’m genuinely confused why so many of them seem to normalize borderline…
Just became an adult at 20 ? What nonsense are you talking about lol. Believe it or not, being 19 is an adult. Not experienced one ofc, but adult nonetheless. What the feck is wrong with a 24 y/o being with a 19 y/o ? Also in Shine on Me, the male lead did not know the fl as a child. he first met her at a gala where she was already a university student.
You mad people be reaching sometimes. Sure, you might not like it but don't fcuking call it pedophilic. Insane people. Significantly ageing down grown ass adults to *child* levels to project some weird shite. Go see a doctor, you need mental counselling.
On your second or more watch, sure, skip. But on the first watch, skipping his scenes would be counterintuitive. The contrast between the two male leads for Xiguang is a big part of the drama.
I don't recall him saying anything racist. It's the crazy netizens blowing things wayy out of proportions. People get offended by whatever these days lol
It's a sweet series. The ratings could have been slightly higher if the writers had watched an episode or two of CSI and got some basic idea about how crime investigations go lol
Asian countries 😂😂😂 A Chinese drama that is released simultaneously on Netflix and is only popular in…
Are you like 12 ? Those who watch Chinese dramas on a regular basis, they have subs on other platforms, they don't watch on Netflix. So despite that, breaking top 10 in 9 Asian nations is a big achievement. If you have the ability to read, then, "it is the first mainland Chinese drama ever to appear on Netflix's weekly chart", written on the article.
I think she's a decent actress it's just she chose questionable scripts in the recent years. She was pretty good…
A needy and uncompromising director can control all of those things. RJE is not big or popular enough to improvise. And not saying she is top tier. But not bad either.
Let's say it was Ahn Eunjin instead of RJE. How is she supposed to invent emotions which we are not aware of ? The showrunners did not build up any dynamic between the leads, and decided to give the male lead more dynamic with the baby. The promos also focused on the ML and the baby. I am sure you have watched Dynamite Kiss. Compare her performance there versus My Dearest. Or Good bad Mother.

Weak script, bad directions can justify bad acting specially when you know, that the actors are capable of more. Say that to Travolta and Forest Whitaker for battlefield earth or Oscar Isaac in X Men Apocalypse or Bradley Cooper/Emma Stone in Aloha.

Sky is the limit..
