Netflix Brazil confirmed it as a gay romance drama. I’d still expect the romance aspect to be light if they were being careful to describe this show to their Japanese audience.

Actually, Lyf was a safe place for me until I read the comments on mdl... No other show's 'fans' literally made me turn away from a show.... DW fans are problematic, okay I get that, but the people in the comments seem just as problematic as DW fans 💀💀💀 I want to start by saying I'm not a DW fan, bro, I'm just an ordinary person who likes watching the show
But the fans of this show are on another level 💀 Do you not like Jing or DW? (Probably both)
I even saw someone saying Jing's character is unnecessary, bro Jing is literally the second male lead?? I think DW is sufficient in terms of acting. He can act well enough to reflect his character and what??? Why are some of you so fixated on DW doing dubbing? Is this the first time you've watched a Chinese drama? Almost everyone in the industry does dubbing for some characters??? Anyway
in the end, everyone is free to have their own opinions. ^^
And I love this show because I think each character reflects themselves well enough. I also love the script and I think everything progresses logically. I don't know how the love between XL and XY is handled in the novel because I haven't read it. But in the show, I didn't feel a very intense love between them. I read the spoiler comments and I really didn't feel that kind of love between XL and XY in the show. If I had read the novel, I feel like I would have loved XL's character more.
Jing is a kind character and I found his kind nature a bit exaggerated because he doesn't even defend himself and gives up easily in most situations, but other than that, I liked his chemistry with XY.
Cang Xuan is my favorite character, maybe because he is the main lead. At some point, I felt that his love for XY leaned a bit towards obsession. Still, I feel sorry for him because he is the least likely to end up with XY. He is the most precious to XY, but as a family member.
Feng Long feels more like a buddy (?) than someone who likes XY. I love his cheerful nature.
The first season was 10/10 for me. I got very excited watching the trailer. Cant wait second season

I don't agree at all - short length dramas are often more interesting. They also usually have more skinship and not as much filler as normal length dramas.
