I love slow burn but the foundation for the romance here is totally lacking for me. If PWX is suddenly going to confess that he loves her at least the director/writers should give us a few scenes of showing us why he fell for her. I was veeery close to dropping it but I have NDD so its hard and then my MDL friends are still watching so I’m joining them.

I completely agree. Unfortunately, many people still try to justify the FL's actions or understand and support her. It’s baffling considering that the ML stayed single for 17 years while she openly flaunted her relationship with another man. She killed her husband without remorse, hated and treated him like a dog when she thought he had killed her yet she keeps giving longing looks to the actual killer.
We’re 22 episodes in, and she still can't even raise her voice against him. Even after all the misunderstandings have been cleared up, she continues to treat the ML poorly almost like a cuckold in front of SRQ. Take, for instance, the recent carriage scene while the ML is there, she stares at the SML and becomes soft in front of him. There’s so much more wrong but I just wish the ML would stand up for himself and make the FL chase him for a change. It would have been better to make this a reverse harem if they wanted such a weak ML.
I’m only on ep 2 and after reading the comments, I’m discouraged from continuing with the series. I hate series where one lead treats the other like shit even after the misunderstanding has been cleared up. And now we got SML all up in this tangled mess as well? Ugh. Next.
I’ going to refuse to call the leads a couple yet. Only PWX is working on this relationship . It’s obvious that she neither loves him nor nor respects him. LR is Just one bossy woman with her own agenda and PWX is just a tool for her. I thought it was because she was hurt but now I am sure that she never cared. She only ever used him.

Its not split down the middle and overwhelming majority is in one side but like I said, they went too far and her behaviour/crimes in previous life are unforgivable. If it was Xianxia or any other fictional story, I wouldn't have give a "F" if FL humped half the known galaxy, while being married to ML or she was sleeping half of the Sith race/dark force users.... but its supposed to be based on real life in ancient china and they are portraying humans (not aliens). No living man is going to overlook or forgive "infidelity, emotional torture and then murder (under cheaters persuasion)". To top that off, her motive or reasoning behind doing all that is very weak. He saved his ex-fiancé from certain death and then handed her over to her husband. he wasn't cheating or sleeping !
