The last 5 episodes are so convoluted that I emotionally checked out. I literally feel nothing for any of the characters anymore except maybe PWX - but is he even in there? Everyone except PWX is such a sh!tty person, and the "conflict" is so damn stupid. Like I just don't care anymore I just want it to be over.
Let me check right its, ep 34 and FL still treats and uses ML like a doormat. He fought with you multiple times in this lifetime and literally begged you to treat him as your equal, but WTF did you do HAN! You still put that SQR, who by own admission killed you, killed your husband, single handedly responsible for souring the relationship between siblings, poisoned your brother and told him you did it, helped him kill you, encourage you to cheat on your husband and used you like a tissue paper your entire life......you still PUT THAT BASTARD OVER YOUR HUSBAND ! SQR even told you, the only person who was ever loyal to you in both lifetimes WAS PWX....ML begged you to discuss with him, before making any decision that affects you both. STILL even in presence of irrefutable loyalty, YOU TREAT HIM TRASH ! That's what we got after watching your dumbass treat him worst for 34 episodes, his entire life objective of past two lives was to work for the benefit of common families, He proudly died working for common folks in previous life when you kill him and did the same in this life cuz its his father/family legacy ! Now you are going to believe killer over him and DESTROY HIS LIFE OBJECTIVE/WORTH and his FAMILY LEGACY by putting another nobel families puppet on the throne, who will only work for the benefit of nobel houses and rescind all the reforms of previous emperor, not only that you are going to invite man you cheated on him for 17 years....back into household to reignite his trauma ! You are not only killing him but also trampling over his self-respect and I don't care if people report me and I got banned for it cuz I knew longtime ago from changes they were making to glorify SQR character, that they will do this shit ! Edit 1: Clarification on why FL is betraying ML Let me tell you, Nobel families want to install another puppet on the throne, who will do their bidding rescind the reforms of the previous emperor beneficial to common people. That is the objective of SQR and his faction, to mantain the status quo and preserve the power of nobel families. PWX work for common families and it's his life worth, hence steps FL took today are complete opposite of his standing and believes. If she works with nobel families to install their puppet on throne, PWX and common families are done for and she could have asked ML about previous life to gather his side of the story and he could have told her another angle. but nope she believed SQR over him and invited snake in to discuss their partnership !
I see a lot of FFYY sympathy here which I find….. odd? She was perfectly fine with TH torturing TSJ and assuming him dead. She was perfectly fine manipulating him into thinking he slept with and impregnated her. She was not just perfectly fine but the MAIN one who wanted to murder him when he was sick because his death was taking too long and TH actually stopped her and said just wait for him to die. There is nothing to feel sorry for. Maybe FFYY in the book is much more nuanced with much more development but on the SHOW she is a villain with zero conscience until the very last moment she is caught. Let’s not infantilize women and remove their agency as individuals. She’s an evil immoral demoness and it serves her right that she did all that for a man who doesn’t even love her. TH is a demon but she’s no victim not of him or anyone.Billions of women choose not to become evil despite whatever circumstances they are in. she’s just a bad person period.
Saw this post about Jing that I really love, also happy to hear that people are loving Jing on weibo because not everyone sees the things he does in the background so he is often misunderstood which makes me feel even more sorry for such a kind character. Im on ep.9. Please tell me the ML has another potential female suitor other than the Qin girl. At this point this might as well be a romantic drama for FL and 2ndML. Every scene she gives him googly eyes like she is in love and is constantly showing her affection for him even when she knows the type of person he is.
Editing is weird but it's okay. as a historical Cdrama enjoyer, I'm not really caught of guard, been there before. Other than that, I'm having fun so far, hope it goes on well
