I have been wondering about that . At this point I think it is deliberate sabotage - even though I did not believe something like that existed before . Because I have seen some frivolous reasons to hate a good drama in these comments

the rating is low because of expectations & biases toward the original production of the first part of this story. if you are going in unbiased your personal rating may differ. watch a few epiosdes & see if you like the style & performances.
this director's style is also just not for everyone. he has a habit of having the characters make eye contact with the camera, which is a choice...not gonna be everyones cuppa.

I've watched till Ep 25 and there's still no chemistry between Zhuge Yue and Xing'er. Their scenes feels forced and there's no emotion behind it.
The acting is so bad in some scenes, I don't know why but this is a capable cast so I expected more.
I liked Princess Agents and I've read the whole novel so I would watch the whole story unfold but this is so disappointing.

So wasted!! I made the error of watching « princess agent » before as this is deemed to be the following. but what a mistake! the 2 seasons are totally different, and the story telling and the roles are completely divergent. In this one, the FM is awfully acting with the same face mask whatever what happens. The story is completely non sense and messy. So much things are pissing me off. Very disappointed. As far as I like Li YunRui, I am on the point to drop it. It would have been better to présent it as a standalone drama, with no connection with the first one, this would have been more enjoyable, but I guess it needs that to undestand the context. However making the connection between the 2 ruined it all.
