She is ruining the show for me. Her character is so annoying and unlikeable and makes the dumbest face all the time with her wide eyes and jaw sticking out. But it's not only her behavior, the actress can be really pretty especially with long hair, but here it's like they've purposely made her looks as unattractive as possible too. I'm sure others will disagree but they made nothing redeemable or appealing about her aside from the fact that she does at least apologize sometimes. Her unlikable character is keeping me from buying into their chemistry.

The reactions to this drama are like a fever dream, some people love it and think they have insanely good chemistry and others hate it and see zero chemistry. It's wild

I feel the same, now since ep 5 his behavior is back to acting different. Not as robotic and clueless anymore. Idk if it's mostly the writing or the actor is not being consistent or what.

Dramas almost always get boring after the leads get together imo. And after the couple finally sleeps together then there's even less to look forward to lol. It's the reason why I prefer dramas that prolong them getting together as long as possible (like I feel this one did.) I'm sure they will spend plenty of episodes on their professional goals. Now they have to fill time.

Only on ep 10 but yes it's a very good drama and worth watching so far. It's interesting and different and although the ML may not be typically beautiful like some people are saying, he is a great actor and his character is sweet.

I get where you're coming from but could you honestly imagine Victor Ma leading this romance drama? I couldn't and he even said he couldn't either. He said he wouldn't be good at the emotional parts. BJT did an amazing job

Completely agree, I don't believe he deserves all this hate.

Thoughts so far -

I don't mind the over the top cutesy act by the FL because overall she's been really funny and adorable. The writer also made it clear he likes her for other, mature reasons. But I really think overall the ML has carried this show, I feel like he is the one mostly responsible for their really good chemistry. Others may disagree but I am just really impressed by his acting especially.

I felt bad for Jiang Yiming when they returned together as a couple and completely ignored him. Although he used to be annoying and over the top he was such a good sport about them getting together. He said he would respect her decision, and he did. Went beyond that actually and offered to help with the prosthetics. She couldn't even bother to tell him herself that they were now together when it happened, she just ignored him and flaunted it in front of his face. A slap in the face to him..

I really like Duo's character. Finally not a stereotypical rival and is actually positive and likable.

I wish I knew who the screenwriter was so I can follow their work!

It’s the fate of a lot of 2MLs.

I'm seriously starting to believe people on this site are just biased toward kdramas, cdramas come in second to them and things like jdramas are on the bottom of the list. A lot of really good cdramas get rated poorly and don't even get me started on jdramas. This drama also faced a lot of challenges with hate for the FL, a poster that doesn't accurately represent it, and a lot of scenes having to be cut. I hope it's one of those dramas that after it's aired then more people realize how good it really is.

They should absolutely not work with him just based on the fact that he dated someone so much younger alone, but that image is so obviously badly photoshopped, the legs don't even line up with his body and shirt.

He's a very expressive actor. Very good

On episode 5 and I'm finding Tang Qi insufferable. Without any spoilers does his character redeem himself and start to become likable? I'm sure he does but right now I hate him and his preoccupation with the "hot" girl so much I need to be sure.

I have never understood his popularity. He isn't even good looking to me with those ears that stick out, he has a dorky look to him, he's nothing special. No idea why he's such a mega star. The highest payed actor in Korea? lmaooo why. All he's known for is crying in his dramas. Tbh I stay far away from accusations and witch hunts etc. BUT his agency came out and admitted that he was in a relationship with her. That age gap they admitted to may have been legal but it still creeps me out and says a lot about him. Just yuck.

I love that though. I love it when leads take a long time to get together. I usually start to get bored quickly once they’re together.

This is insane, I’m going to have to stop coming to this page because most of it is so negative. 7.8?!? Please..this is at LEAST an 8.3-8.4 drama (for me it’s a 10/10 for the chemistry and pacing alone). Every time I come here it seems like so many people are just hate-watching it and leaving negative comments picking it apart and rating it lower.

How far did you watch bc their chemistry is fire. And her character becomes developed more to show she has depth and he is in no way attracted to her bc of her childlike behavior it’s the insightful, inspiring and kind things she says and does for him.
