"If someone chooses to act cute or playful, it falls under personal expression. However, if childlike behavior…
This is more about the character she is infantilizing being romanticized in a romance drama.
I am not saying I don't like this drama; I do. Mostly because I can look past the voice and just appreciate the chemistry. But I totally get where the criticism about her infantile voice and behavior is coming from.
how intense is the baby voice in this? i really want to watch, but idk if i can handle extreme bv right now...
Very intense, the most intense I've ever seen tbh. If Sang Zhi in Hidden Love's voice was sometimes that of a teen or pre-teen, this one is toddler-level. That being said though it is otherwise a really good drama.
This person was literally spamming the comment section with copied and pasted essays of reasons why Esther Yu is the best and there is nothing wrong with her baby voice. She was far more intolerable than anything to do with the drama.
It is a bit much, I mean cutesy can be really good but she's taken it to toddler level. When a performance gets…
I've been afraid to say it, but that's been in the back of my mind. I mean there is such a thing as too childish in a romance drama ffs. I get what they were going for and I like the drama but..yeah. She acts way too childish.
Is EY's acting always this cringe and annoying. God, its hard to watch this drama. Its one thing to act like this…
It is a bit much, I mean cutesy can be really good but she's taken it to toddler level. When a performance gets to the point that I can't understand what an ML possibly sees in her (because she acts like a toddler) then that means there's something off about her acting for me. All that said though I'm still really really enjoying it, they do have great chemistry. I'm just trying to overlook that she acts like a child.
I’ve been waiting for PMY to land a role like this. She’s incredibly talented. Her recent script choices may…
I agree. I thought she was amazing in Healer and WTWIF. Also very, very good in What's Wrong with Secretary Kim and Her Private Life. She just needs better roles
Going to sound harsh but think of this as technical issues not enjoyment issues. I am confused how the quality…
It gets better, episode 4 is a lot smoother. It's still a very different quality drama all around, a lot has to do with production teams and producers as well.
I have to admit, I wasn’t sure about this drama at first. Sports themed dramas normally never do it for me. They usually turn into too much focus on the sport and competition that it bores me. And the first few episodes felt choppy with stuff cut out from all the editing they had to do (I still wish we knew exactly what happened with the sprayed water)…but in episode 4 it got sooo good. I’m hooked. Sometimes i felt it was a little much how the fl acts like a literal toddler BUT they are so freaking adorable together I don’t care. I love love love them. They are giving so many feels. And these snowboarding men are hot asf.
