rewatched this after idk how many yrs & it was cute, but having watched Revenged Love this totally falls short & not cause the acting or actors r bad.
the plot felt disjointed - jumping all over the place & if u didn't read the book 1st, u will be confused throughout this.
also the way 'they' chose to end it - it's like it was cute short wayyyy before the end. wonder how much got left on the editing room floor cause of censorship -

agreed with a majority of what u wrote - besides the crying with Toh part... if i blame him for the mess he has made with his life, how can i sit here & feel sorry him?? yeah i think he needs help so he will stop seeking out users... but that's a far cry from actually crying to him - maybe i am just less empathetic towards masochists fools, that r hell bent on digging their own graves, when everyone keeps warning him... 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

to me this BL has become rage bait & yet i wasn't that angry this ep - 1st of the shocker that Jimmy can be a good person when he wants too. him running off to help an ex, isn't anything to scoff at. plus he gave him time to heal at his place & he wasn't creepy about it (given they were more friends with benefits then actual boyfriends), it's normal & very easy to "trip" into bed with someone u had good sexual chemistry with - even if u hate their guts lol 🤦‍♀️
2ndly Toh doesn't evoke my sympathetic side, every time he cried i rolled my eyes. cause the dude needs help not sympathy(!), from how Jimmy has treated him from the start to assume he ever loved him, like what?!?? but this the same dude that convinced himself, that no matter why Jimmy too him to bed, he was gonna make Jimmy love him 🤷‍♀️ & the part that made me shudder, was when he told himself "...don't be petty & make him angry..." that's how abused women talk about their abusive husbands. this dude needs help, so he will stop seeking out abusive people to partner up with.

btw i love Run - from the start of this i loved his sassy ass & i loved how he gave as good as he got when he was with Jimmy. the fact he tried to get back together with the moron, was cause he's in a vulnerable state & Jimmy offered a safe haven. & call me mean but i kinda enjoy his mean girl act towards Toh.
but we all know that if they did get back together, sooner or later they would break-up, cause Jimmy is a personality only a mother can love - well his mother & Toh the masochist 😅🖐

also i don't buy Jimmy suddenly actually caring for Toh, why him? he's been bed hopping for ages & the sec he gets his prey he moves on to the next conquest. but this time it's different - why? cause Toh was such a doormat? 🤔

not getting any answers pushed him over the edge? & he killed his Uncle?? but Master Lin shows-up before the cops to save the day & they live happily ever after??? lol🤦‍♀️🤣🖐 this was ridiculous, but a fun guessing game.
there isn't enough to this to even call it a short BL, u blinked & the ep was over, still this a fun one off ✌

well i'm almost at the end (just ep 15 left) & i don't know what the "viewers" were going on about.

this was perfect as is - maybe the tease of an almost kiss that never took place annoyed others. to me this was perfect, i think we all so jaded & used to hearing, seeing teens act like adults that when we finally see teens being just that; innocent, immature, inexperienced teens - it's weird to some, IMO this was just right!

i liked the original. but that was also toxic - this wasn't! & i rather an adaptation that's changed for the better, then a scene by scene replay. what is the point, i rather watch the OG in that case & this refreshed things up.

so from my POV no one was miscast & this was good - even better given their ages (& i mean the character's not just the actor) as it was fitting for this to be so pure an immature... but that's me 😊✌

yeah, until now there doesn't seem to be much BL "action" but who knows, there still 6 eps to go & this is tagged as BL. so maybe it's slow burn.
for now the subs r bad & that is a much bigger problem 🤦‍♀️

as this has progressed i get that this not gonna be the typical fluffy drama, where even if there's a rough start, it will all come together by the end - i.e growth, contrition, penitence & maybe redemption... & guess i need someone to root for - this time i will just be an observer.

btw Toh was dickmatized (as u put it) before getting any dick 🤷‍♀️ just saying...

& yeah i have had friends that have fallen for morons & after trying to be understanding, while offering advise - i told it like it is!

there is a part of me that is rejoicing in Toh's pain - call me mean, but from the start everyone is warning him, but he's acting like the 3 monkeys; wont see, wont hear & wont talk... when it comes to Jimmy. but there is another part of me that sees a drowning man, that's been thrown lifeline after lifeline but he choses to ignore them, cause he chose to jump in (if u get what i mean).
also feel like it's more then a case of 'love makes u blind' cause in Toh's case, he's blind, deaf & dumb & as an adult that's lived life & been in a relationship of two, he should know better. so knowing why he is like this is fascinating to me. but doubt we will get more info into his psyche... & given the 1st ep, this basically a taming of the 'player' which in real life rarely happens. but for this BL it will 🤷‍♀️ personally i don't think Jimmy got any redeeming qualities, that make me wanna root for him or for Toh, the main masochist. but am curios, so will be here until the bitter, toxic end 😅✌

btw Fah is the smartest character in this BL & Teh should thank his lucky stars that Fah aint another version of Jimmy, cause seeing Teh in action he's just like his brother & would've ended up in a similar situation, if Fah wanted to play him. 🤦‍♀️

FYI - i found the whole series on Youtube subbed in english. this was such a cute, sweet, wholesome, fun romance. i didn't expect to enjoy & i binge watched it in a weekend. (btw not everything is perfect, like i couldn't stand the parents & Jed, but on a whole there were more loveable character's then not) & the romance is healthy & loving. totally makes up for what's lacking in other areas IMO
this was fun 💖will happily recommend if anyone is looking for something light & fun😁

haven't even clicked on the 1st ep - came to check out the comments & seen quite a few, that r mad at the fact that the main couple didn't kiss - one is 16 NOW in 2026 & the other 18 - that means BOTH were underage!!!
bravo that they didn't kiss. u don't need a kiss to show love, affection 🤷‍♀️...

glad i aint the odd one out as this ep was frustrating & so obvious, that "they" needed to drag sh*t out cause "they" wanted a cliff hanger in this ep & a grand finale at the end. that was the only reason EVERYONE was so incompetent 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️
everything the good-guys could do wrong, they did & suddenly the bad-guys had almost super human powers, whoever was targeted was theirs.

also the sec Thup asked Singha to be his bf ,i knew things were gonna get bad. bummer this was very predictable & "they" had to f*ck it up towards the end - very frustrating to sit & watch this without wanting to break something😫 ugh now to wait 6 plus days 😑🖐

sadly the subs r bad for both ep 2 & 3 at least what i found (& don't send me to dailyM cause my add block extensions don't allow me to watch it there) found the 2nd ep on YT (thankfully another commenter mentioned it) but sadly the 3rd ep they uploaded - the subs as bad as in other sites 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️. guess should just wait for this to get completed & hope by then whomever will do us all a favor & sub it accurately 🤞

ep 7 explains better what happened in the past & why it took Jeong U so long to try & contact Han Gyeol. considering what he almost sacrificed for Han Gyeol, after hearing what happened - Han Gyeol just sitting around waiting for Jeong U to reach out kinda annoyed me.
after hearing what Jeong U did for him, Han Gyeol should've called him back - as is Jeong U was trying to call him & he kept ignoring his calls. 😒

this was good until the whole shooting incident - that was whack & turned this whole BL goofy as f*ck & not in a good way. until that ending, it was really really good. Tanya was an evil witch that u loved to hate & seriously she deserved to get b*tch slapped by quite a few character's, but miraculously the whole problem with her was solved cause she found a conscience - really? the evil sociopath that has been gaslighting her half-brother since they were children??? suddenly she turned into a different person, she grew a warm-loving caring sisterly side??? LOL meeh writing
same with Leo's partial amnesia disappearing & him recalling that he was Logic's 1st love - really WTF🤦‍♀️

this whole plot isn't new, it's old as time as it was adapted from the book Les Liaisons dangereuses or Letters Collected in a Private Society, published in 1782! & there have been quite a few really good movies adapted from it; Dangerous Liaisons (1988) & Cruel Intentions (1999)... so the script writer didn't have to break their head, just read the book, watch a movie or 6 to make this a really good BL - short though it may be.
the twist they added was moronic & even if it could fit (given how pompous those rich kids were) suddenly turning Tanya into a totally different person & letting her off scot free is not the way to go - not after how she behaved throughout this BL. so until ep 49 i would've given this a high rating - now, nope 😑 pity.

everyone loved this & i have a feelings it's cause of the physical chemistry between the mains, rather then the actual story, that was all over the place or maybe a lot got lost in translation.

i didn't get if they were planets that fell in-love with each other & some random god (the old dude) decided to help & cause of Yang You past bad karma, he wasn't destined to never be happy in-love, so his every encounter with Chen Shi, ended with either or both dying.
or maybe Yang You was the one that always died - which makes me wonder, was he the one with the bad karma or was it Chen Shi, who was left behind to grieve & suffer. 🤔

so somehow Chen Shi comes across the old dude, that tinkers with clocks & he tells him how to get out of the never-ending heartache loop, so everyone that is intertwined will be set free from tis karmic circle.... & most of this BL was Chen Shi trying to keep Yang You alive.
in the last ep Chen Shi realized that setting Yang You free (back to his own timeline) meant he would live & the cycle would be broken.

then (hearing Yang You's cries) the old dude & his cat felt bad for the pair & let them reunite at the end? but this is me speculating after kinda being bored & uninterested watching this whole BL.
this was fine for a one off - the acting was bad enough to make me cringe, the translation didn't help me get more interested in this messy plot. 🤦‍♀️so a one off ✌
