on a whole this was really well made, loved the acting & the plot too (even though it was kinda brutal & raw), there was no sugar coating to the life in the yakuza & how the hierarchy works - how the subordinates get treated. even the romance that we got, wasn't the typical lovey dovey sh*t we r used too - it was jaded & harsh with no sweet nothings.... as Kataoka is a man of few words, idk if what has developed between him & Odajima can be called love, or how long it will last.

BUT this ep didn't have the feel of a finale, not unless there is a 2nd season in the makings.. there too many open ends - IMO.

found it weird that he didn't talk to Kataoka about his leaving the "family"- if for no other reason then to realize, that the guy that ended up murdering Asahi was the same guy Keito sent to stab & then shoot Kataoka. so the one at fault for Asahi's murder is Keito, but the f*cker is sitting at the top of the "family" meaning he is untouchable...

also is Kataoka still on the run?!? if he aint, then he's on vacation?!? as a member of the yakuza, he needs to earn & offer his share weekly to the head. so him running of to have a honeymoon with Odajima wont matter to the new boss - Keito. who already warned Odajima not to come before him & he also hates Kataoka, he doesn't seem like someone that will get over his grudge just cause his position is secure.... idk there a lot of open ends & that is frustrating to me.

but this is the end, guess i will never find out, unless i check out the manga (which i have a feeling might be a harsher version of what we saw & idk if i have the stomach for that..) so i'm left guessing, oh well this was great, even if the end left me wanting...

well it was cringe for me, watching the awkwardness - whether it be logical or not - u feel what u feel & while watching, i was very uncomfortable 🤷‍♀️

even though there were some really cringe moments that i really wanted over fast (like the awkward moments between Hioki & the group) & Hioki is a bit too clumsy, but at least he doesn't over react or act, so it wasn't unbearable.
but the plus is i think he is beautiful & adorable (IMO he's one of the better looking in this BL, yeah the rest not bad looking either - but he is at the top for me), also like that he isn't like everyone else & marches to his own beat... didn't like the "mean girls" with their petty remarks. but other then the typical use of females as antagonist's that r mean, just for the sake of being mean - this was fun.

it's also obvious (to me) that Watarai has a crush on Hioki & he was the one that either suggested Hioki's name (to join his friend group) or he has confided in his friends & they invited Hioki, cause they trying to help their friend get Hioki. either way, it's cute seeing Watarai not being able to keep his eyes off Hioki & until the end Hioki didn't really notice something was off. can't wait for more😁.

as the saying goes 'different strokes for different folks' cause IMO Hioki isn't just good looking, he is adorable & sweet, like the boy next door & that's more my type, then the stoic good looking guy, that everyone falls for, but usually feels like he isn't approachable.

WTF was the preview 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️like... i had a feeling this wouldn't have a rosy, happy ending. but the fact Kirii get's what he wanted all along (to have his cake & eat it too) OMG is making me see red. 🤬 (hope the preview was misleading but that's more wishful thinking on my part) feel sad for both the leads & this not even the last ep ugh 😭

had a feeling this would be left open (well there was a part of me, that was worried it would go down the depressing route) so an open ending is more then welcome & yeah by the end Ko Yeong was loveless, but not all alone. as he was surrounded by his bff's which have been the one consistent thing in his life, they r rid & die - he should be thankful for them, cause there people out here that don't even have that.

this whole ep, the more Ko Yeong smiled & laughed the sadder i got, especially when he was in Thailand with William, who ironically was another lost soul - but this was also very beautiful in the rawness of depicting relationship's, love & how fickle human emotion's can be.

Ko Yeong saying he wrote "love" as a wish on the Chinese lanterns, when he actually wrote Gyu Ho's name - reaffirmed my conclusion that he was the love of Ko Yeong's life. sad that he didn't realize what he had when he had him... donno if he will get a 2nd chance, or if he will find someone new. but it is what it is. this was so good & yet very sad.

got ur point, But the point i was making, was just cause they r bad doesn't excuse him of grooming a child!!! & there r pic's of them (Kim Soo Hyun with Kim Sae Ron) as a couple - pic's where he is bare assed naked with her.
i don't know of any mentor, mentee or any platonic relationship where u hang around each other naked (alone). so he is as guilt IMO.

two wrongs don't make a right - the fact her parents were bad parents isn't news, cause while he was grooming her - where were they?!? why weren't they involved enough to notice their underage daughter was getting romanced by a man who was wayyyyyyy older?!?? & when they found out, why not do something about it?!? anything but leave it up to her - their underage child until it was too late??

if u r here for the main couple, then i guess u r a happy camper (even though there too, i think it wasn't perfect) but at least we got a semblance of the tying of a bow, on their happily ever after.
but what the hell was done with the 2nd couple?!? if this was the treatment they were gonna get - why even include a 2nd couple?!? after Guo's sad life, this is what he gets?

this was a disservice to his character, let alone his romantic plot. 1st off he cuts all ties with Shen, but not his leech of a father?!? why?!?? logically given how his father treated his mother & the reason for his secret - that would get solved now that he was with child?
his father was not just a liability but a threat to both him & his baby, one he couldn't have around himself when pregnant let alone when his baby arrived (not knowing how he would fair while giving birth, given his health) & the fact the baby could also be omega, then what?? so i don't get him keeping in touch, let along going to meet his father.
then we get that disastrous dinner - Guo sitting there mute - idk this was such a farce what with how everything was resolved, while kept open... for people who didn't & aren't gonna go read the novel this was adapted from - it was halfassed. sloppy work IMO & a bummer, cause unlike most i was here for Guo (i even warmed up to Shen by the end) - so yeah this was a let down ✌

i get not liking age gap romances - i have a problem when the age difference is huge too or when the younger half, is below 18 - then even if it's a few yrs difference, it still bothers me (regardless of the gender).
but there is a huge difference when both character's r of age, as then a huge age gap - is just yucky - not against the law & for sure not Pedophilia.

Odajima says he isn't capable of love, but i am sure that is just a front & i don't blame him, given the life he has lead. am also sure he has already fallen for Kataoka, but cause of the circumstances they have gotten close, let alone what happened to the other people he's loved - he is scared to admit this fact.

regarding Kataoka; harder to read, that smile of his is a mask that is covering his true feelings. u don't know half the time what he is thinking & even when he says something, u wonder - is he joking?!?
i didn't read the manga this is adapted from so idk if this got a sad ending but given the feel of things until now - i feel like a tragic end is what will be fitting.... going out in a blaze of glory

she was his sister, not just his mother - that is the really messed-up part in this whole mess - that's why is so f*cked in the head when relationship & feelings r involved.

side note: Lee Ju Young (the one playing Eun Ho) reminds me so much of the K-actor Yang Se Jong, they could be siblings or cousins. from the 1st sec i saw him i keep thinking of YSJ 😅🖐
