so the fact Jeong Yeon knew, means this ok?!? this was f*cked up & i might be the only one thinking this - but that fact is, that Yu Geon wanted Jeong Yeon from the 1st time he saw him, this fact makes this "romance" majorly f*cked. the fact Jeong Yeon was suffering, feeling misunderstood by his mother & abandoned by his father, the only way he could survive was rebelling & then Yu Geon walked into his life, a grown adult that was warm, caring, supportive yet stern & authoritative. Jeong Yeon was lacking a father figure & that's what Yu Geon became, so not shocking that Jeong Yeon developed feelings & was ready to ignore the research papers, that showed that he was used as a 'lab rat'.
Yu Geon on his part, from the word go wanted Jeong Yeon & his every word & action was grooming 101. the only reason he didn't accept Jeong Yeon's confession, was cause he was a teen - or maybe he needed for him to fall utterly & the distance & time part, would make the heart grow founder... as it did. idk how i feel about this so called romance, as this very messed-up. & even though Jeong Yeon knew all along, how Yu Geon manipulated him it doesn't make it ok (them ending up together) cause when ur brain-washed, knowing the facts doesn't revers the programing or undo it.
ima be the odd one out - yes this was hilarious & even sexy at times, BUT if u take out those parts & looked at the meat & bone of the thing, this was bad (& not talking about the acting, which wasn't always good). but the plot or rather the MC = Bing was a selfish, self-centered a**hole - sorry not sorry.

& people got the audacity - saying they should just be a throuple, cause Bing needs both to satisfy his needs... f*ck that! i heard there was an issue with the author, that they were gonna sue or something, maybe it has something to do with that... cause from the 1st ep's flashback - it's basically a reimagination of what happened in Addicted. like Yushi (there You Qi) is suddenly a new student introducing himself & Yang Meng finds his name funny, like his character did in Addicted. also think they changed Yang Meng's personality here, to match the age of the actor.
that's also why this BL is called Love after Addiction, it's not just for the fans to know that these two actors were in that old BL. well that's my two cents 😁🖐

well i'm almost at the end (just ep 15 left) & i don't know what the "viewers" were going on about.
this was perfect as is - maybe the tease of an almost kiss that never took place annoyed others. to me this was perfect, i think we all so jaded & used to hearing, seeing teens act like adults that when we finally see teens being just that; innocent, immature, inexperienced teens - it's weird to some, IMO this was just right!
i liked the original. but that was also toxic - this wasn't! & i rather an adaptation that's changed for the better, then a scene by scene replay. what is the point, i rather watch the OG in that case & this refreshed things up.
so from my POV no one was miscast & this was good - even better given their ages (& i mean the character's not just the actor) as it was fitting for this to be so pure an immature... but that's me 😊✌

btw Fah is the smartest character in this BL & Teh should thank his lucky stars that Fah aint another version of Jimmy, cause seeing Teh in action he's just like his brother & would've ended up in a similar situation, if Fah wanted to play him. 🤦♀️
FYI - i found the whole series on Youtube subbed in english. this was such a cute, sweet, wholesome, fun romance. i didn't expect to enjoy & i binge watched it in a weekend. (btw not everything is perfect, like i couldn't stand the parents & Jed, but on a whole there were more loveable character's then not) & the romance is healthy & loving. totally makes up for what's lacking in other areas IMO this was fun 💖will happily recommend if anyone is looking for something light & fun😁
