forget the cringe, there are no actual jokes, no real humor, just acting silly and cringy and that’s supposed to be funny? the writing is way off. and yet I’ll still give this a chance because I’ve seen the couple in other shows and they were better than this, thing whatever it is..

So… What was Boston’s costume?

They’re all a bunch of selfish hypocrites..

didn’t say you have to like every character equally.. was just curious about what people were thinking about different characters who on paper were experiencing very very similar situations, ofcourse there’s nuance.. I like Ray cause he’s a certain type of mess, but love to hate Boston for the same reason. And last episode was finally able to sympathize with Nick, even though I’ve been on the Sand train since the beginning. I was just interested what others were experiencing..

Didn’t mean you have to rationalize why you like the characters you do.. I was just curious what everyone thinks, because I realized my own hypocrisy when Nick was confronting Sand about the recording, in my mind I thought Nick was lame to be crying about a guy like Boston, and that Boston was even kinda right saying it wasn’t Nick’s business, but then when Sand said he understands exactly how Nick feels, I literally went - wait a minute - rewind, and finally sympathized with Nick, and after realizing that I was being a hypocrite when it comes to Nick, it made me at the end feel sorry for Top too.. Just curious if I’m the only one finding out that I like some characters more than others for apparently no reason (maybe if I dig deep I’ll find one eventually)..

If you feel bad for Nick, do you also feel bad for Top? And if you enjoy Boston’s toxicity, do you also enjoy Ray’s? And if you want SandRay to end up together, do you also want that for BostonNick and TopMew?

To me it seems they’re both using each other for comfort and to heal something that’s hurt within each of them. Being best friends is also blurring the lines between them. Ray was using Mew’s friendship as a crutch and now Mew is going to do the same..

Boston, Top and even Nick got theirs. Sand didn’t get his until that last scene. Ray still needs a smack upside the head.

Liking a series is subjective, everybody enjoys watching different shows for different reasons. For example I’m also watching Dangerous Romance, Kiseki: Dear to Me and My Personal Weatherman, but not enjoying any of them remotely as much as I’m enjoying Only Friends. I’ve never watched reactions to BL series or stalked a comment section, but this series has got me obsessing over the characters. I can say with confidence that no BL series has gotten me hooked like this in the past 5 years. Everyone can love whatever series, character or story they want, that’s fine as long as we keep it respectful..
