I thought episode 5 will be a cute/breather episode then randomly someone runs over Mew with motorcycle..And let's…
I thought that those two guys were trying to “hit on” Top, which triggered Mew’s insecurities about himself not being good enough for Top. But then Top didn’t notice or acknowledge both guys, and that got Mew to trust him more. Pretty sure that’s what they meant when Top asks Mew “if he passed his test”…
Before ep. 5 airs, I gotta say - There is no way in hell that Beam is “just” a drug dealer. What dealer says “I missed you” and “nobody knows you like I do”, these two were definitely hooking up.
This has been breaking my brain - wasn’t it mentioned that Boston’s dad owns a massage parlor? how is he running for House of Representatives now? is Ton lying? or does his dad actually own a massage parlor and also running for office? 😂
It was entertaining, but somehow by the last couple of episodes it seemed like the writers just decided that while they can have a handsome younger man fall in love and flirt with an older married/divorced woman, they still can’t have them end up together because of some perceived societal norm. Even though they made it her decision, it still felt like the writers are saying - you’re older, divorced and already past your prime, let’s have the young handsome man who’s been flirting with you from day one end up with a seemingly younger woman to make it more acceptable..
It was a fun watch even though some of the scenes were ridiculous, so so much excessive drinking, a bit of toxic fan/paparazzi culture. loved the female leads, even though they kept implying the best friend was somehow “less attractive” compared to other women which is just beyond ridiculous!
Even though I’m only on episode 3, I’m not sure I can keep watching this series. It would be beyond frustrating if I keep watching but the mom doesn’t actually learn anything from her past mistakes and changes her behavior. The title of the show seems to be suggesting “she’s actually being a good mom by being a bad one”, a concept I probably won’t ever agree with. I know she’s no expert on rehabilitation, but starving your disabled child as a motivator for him to move his hands, is a big no no for me. More so after realizing you’ve already caused him extreme trauma by never letting him feel full after a meal and bullying him into never finishing his meals. Why would you fill his plate and then not let him finish it?
Also all the neighbors lying about their children is getting on my nerves. I do know where it’s coming from, I know the shame culture at the base of it, experienced it myself even, and that’s probably why I find it so annoying and even cringy.
As usual, enjoying a BL series is as subjective a matter as it could possibly be. The series was average like 95% of all other BLs. And still some people love it, some hate it, some like the side couples best, some the main pair, some like them better in the first story, some enjoy them more in the second. It’s a typical comment section for any BL series. But hey the couples are cute, and at least it’s not toxic. We’re heading in the right direction.
Though it had its flaws, I still enjoyed some part, especially the portrayal of the relationships between Je In and Sang Wook - except the part where he shows up without notice -, and Ma Tae Oh and his wife Song Eun Ha, the actors really did those scenes justice.
A bit disappointing. Mostly because of the cringe dialogue - they did the exact opposite of “show don’t tell” -, but also because some of the “games” were pretty underwhelming, and the boring musical score didn’t help either..
Me going to my Plan to Watch section to see if anything is airing - Whaa? 2Moons how did I miss this?! Clicks page, reading description, scrolls down to actors, aaaaand…
Who the F**k are these people? Bro I’ve been waiting for Forth/Beam and maybe a little Ming/Kit, why the hell is this happening again? 😂😂
the only good thing about this season we’re the detectives - both good guys and villains -
The rest was lacking. There was basically no character development whatsoever. The plot was weak and disjointed, the very first scene of the first episode, as well as some of the serial killed storyline were promising but in the end the season did not deliver. And some of the scenes felt completely out of place or had no pay off: The nun-sister showing up, the detectives’ adopted daughter’s problem with her ex-friend and exams, the detectives’ sister’s date with the conman, the chief’s daughter and her role at the company, to name just a few.
And by the last episode I realized my biggest problem with this season was Cheon Na Na’s character, you don’t have to always portray “crazy” or “emotionally unstable” characters as hysterical. Her scenes in that last episode grated on my nerves.
While I do appreciate the scenes between Cheon Na Na and Woo Tae Ho and their raw emotion, I guess I’m not enjoying the scenes with Cheon Na Na playing the villain (or “acting innocent”) with other characters as much.
Compared to Cheon Sung Dae (the father) who doesn’t appear as much but dominates the scene, the moment where he tells the detectives “he’ll remember their names” during his interrogation gave me chills. (I’m extremely annoyed that the very next scene just seems to cancel out his incredible performance with some lazy writing - Oh Ji Hyuk simply asks again for his help and he agrees -)
Or compared to the brother who every time he speaks I want to smash his head on the nearest table with how good of an a-hole he plays.
With Cheon Na Na, whenever she’s acting innocent or literally being a psychotic villain, I just feel - Meh, whatever.
I think it’s more because of the disjointed storyline, and less because of the actual performance.
Really Agreed ,, The male villain hit his ex girlfriend for threatening him with their daughter so one of his…
Yeah sure, she seemed mentally unstable to me, but not psycho enough to be out here murdering her husband’s mistress with her own hands, or watching her own mother taking pills and not even trying to stop her.

I kinda meant the motivation for Cheon Na Na to get “revenge” on her father and brother for “killing” her mother. I understand that they’re both major a-holes, but she’s the one who just stood there and watched her mother commit suicide.
Also personally I will never understand someone killing their spouse for cheating. So her reason for killing her husband and his mistress (grandpa’s daughter) is ridiculous in my opinion.
It makes more sense for Sang-woo to act the way he does because he’s literally portrayed that way from the very first scene of episode one. He’s always been a douchebag.
They tried to do a twist in the plot where Cheon Na Na is the ultimate evil, after having the audience “sympathize” with her over her condition (for Christ sake she has diabetes, a very treatable disease) and her grief over her mom’s death (turns out she’s the most guilty imo), but it feels like the twist failed because I didn’t really sympathize with her from the get go. eeh, Maybe I’m just cold hearted.

I do love Ra Mi-ran though…
In my opinion season 1 was way more thrilling.
