Technically, I AM watching it, but at 2x speed with added manual skips when it gets boring even at that speed.
I left a shit load of comments below as I watched. I loved it during eps 1 and 2, but then it went rapidly downhill and now I'm hanging on for dear life.
I just am NOT a drama person, generally speaking. They drag out for 16 episodes, more or less, what could be told in a well-done, engaging 2-hour film. Sooooooo slow.
Because Chinese historical dramas are not at all known for their portrayals of male characters as wispy, effeminate dudes who fly through the air on the slightest breeze, chiffon robes flowing, as they cast longing gazes upon each other.

Meh...the criticism wasn't actually directed at ZLH. That's just one of Lily Malice-Phallus's standard, negative, accusatory, misleading, click-bait headlines. Come to think of it, LM-P probably doesn't write her own headlines here. That's likely left to the MDL Minion In Charge of Inventing "Controversy" Where There is None By Writing BS Headlines.
And all the better if the bogus headline implicitly attacks a specific actor, in which case they can hope for a suicide and more clicks on down the line.
This is an idol drama, why is a political party even chiming in on something so irrelevant to it..

Agreed. I tried S2 because I wanted to see T.O.P.'s performance, and indeed, he was the only thing worth watching for. Thus, I skipped forward until I saw that purple hair, watched the scene, then skipped ahead for more purple. After they killed him off, I dropped it.
Awful. I've never seen so many fine actors sitting around talking, talking, talking, talking, talking, in what I expected to be a show full of wild, non-stop, crazy-ass games. Deeply stupid.

A government's military lashing out at a silly drama, in defense of "masculine vigor." hahaha And then, the fans who defended the drama scurrying like cockroaches upon realizing they are dragging an official government statement...lol. Terrified they're headed to prison, they issue groveling apologies and delete their accounts. :)

This would be so much more romantic, interesting, and most of all, believable, if Sunjae would just go gay with Min Woo, the other young prodigy, who is clearly hot for him.
This is SO much better at 2x speed. lol Which goes to show how absurdly slow the pace of this drama is. Seriously, at 2x, there are STILL scenes that drag, especially when characters are sitting, thinking, feeeeeeeling their emotions, lol. Even at 2x speed, I have skipped ahead multiple times.
SJ's now ex-girlfriend and his/her friend from before his explosion into the music scene have become my favorite characters. That guy always gives me a chuckle. What a great character. Love his easy-going style.
Forging onward...I wish the player I'm in had a 3x setting.

Some of Hye Won's most annoyingly obvious acting has been when she's driving while agitated...is that a crime, a DWA? It should be! I see the actor working so hard to emote her mindset that I have laughed out loud several times, but then I feel bad because the director likely made her do it, and she may be thinking the same thing I am. :)
One of the most ridiculous scenes, and on that also eventually pissed me off, was when the beeyatch called SJ to "drive me around for a couple of hours." I was like wtf? Then, as soon as he pulls away from the curb, she goes to SLEEP! Go sleep in your own mansion, woman! Don't expect this kid to drive you around while you snooze. THEN, she has the nerve to dessert him 50 miles from his home!
Yes, yes, yes, I know...I was supposed to get that there was nowhere she felt peaceful and serene enough to sleep, other than in her presence, blah blah blah, but It. Did. Not. Work And her faux shock and damsel-in-distress reaction to his getting a hotel room, lol, how bogus. The least she could have done was call him and say "no, this ain't happening, dude. Drive me home." After that, I sort of began to hate her and see a lot of the plot as stupid.
The last 3/4 episodes had to be re-written after Sae-Ron left and i think thats why they feel off...i get the…
I began watching for the first time last night, with episode 1, which is quite good. Just about the only violent Yakuza/crime-type shows I enjoy are Korean. I haven't seen KSR yet.
If she is still in most of it, why all the talk of "cutting her out" of it, and why rewrite it at all? I still can't believe NF caved to Korean cancel culture in that regard.
