If there was a sexual assault it needs to be made clear, and here it was not made so except to those dying to interpret it that way. Poor writing/directing/acting in that case. It's not about the scene necessarily being "longer;" it's about what we see however long the scene lasted.

Part of my point, and I haven't done a good job of making it, is that if this was sexual assault the writers/director/actor did a poor job of making that clear. As the screen went to black, Fuji was nibbling around on Sei's neck and Sei was laying there like a rag doll, unresisting. Considering that the earlier sex scene between Higawara and Sei make it clear what was going on, I don't get why the director cut away from the alleged sexual assault so quickly, unless it was deliberately to leave what came next ambiguous.

Yes, Fuji apologized in the morning, but before the scene ended he already had a lot to apologize for. Given that Sei talks to Fuji and Hagiwara both in vague, non-specific, confusing language, anyway...what he said in reply didn't make anything clear to me. He's become so low-affect that it's hard to tell how he feels about anything.

It is deeply weird that you automatically interpret, and that apparently the writers of this show intended us to interpret, gentle neck nuzzling of a passive, supine, sober, coherent person as sexual assault. But then, you do sound like a weird person. There was NOTHING "explicit" about that scene. Like "sexual assault," you throw around words as if they have only the meaning you ascribe to them.

Finally...when are you going to admit you are totally getting off on your melodramatic outrage here. In leaving all these comments, have you managed to achieve climax?

Sei did NOT "literally" tell Fuji any such thing...are you deaf and/or blind to dialogue and subtitles. What he DID say was extremely vague and noncommital. I want you to tell me what was shown and heard that make it CLEAR there was sex, let alone assault. Not what you imagined in your head; what was there on the screen. It's weird that you see no difference between a conscious person fully in control of their faculties, and an unconscious person. Please explain how they are the same thing.

Please detail for us in what way the events and dialogue in this episode "romanticized" sexual assault...thanks, we'll wait. I guess I missed the scene after the alleged assault wherein Sei and Fuji lay in bed smoking and nuzzliing, and then flowers arrived which Sei had bought for Fuji thanking him for the alleged assault.

Please detail for us what you saw that made it clear there was assault or even sex? Last we saw then, Fuji was nuzzling Sei's neck while Sei lay there passively and not in the least bit scared. If that was a scene of assault, it is one of the most poorly written, directed, and acted ones I have seen. Sei didn't seem scared, he seemed annoyed.

Thanks for your perspective, Jenny. However, and I know this is partly a BL thing, wherein clues like the wrists are massively simplified. And how a neck hickey, which I got in jr. high, became rock-solid evidence or rape is beyond me.
