USA - The half of it that hates Donald Trump as much as you do.

oooooh...next week looks to be full of angst and melodrama. I'll be here for it.

As for Episode 5:
That seashore scene with Bing Chen and his wife...my lands, I watched that with tears running down my face. That's some of the best BL acting I've seen; from Bing Chen AND the wife. Both played it just right; their interaction was remarkably moving. Wish Chu looks even hotter with some scrubby 5 o'clock shadow.

The bed scene was pretty damn sensual and fully committed. I'm perplexed by those two actors: They totally went for the gusto on the bed, but when standing up they resort to the dreaded BL Mannequin Kiss, bodies and lips against each other but immobile, frozen. lol The director's not doing his job.

I wish there was at least a bit of time given to realistic self-revelation when these characters go gay for a dude. Both brothers in a family being gay isn't unheard of (I know a family in which two brothers and a sister are gay), but it's still incredibly rare, yet the brothers here don't give the fact that they're both hot for dudes one second of attention. Were they already out to themselves and each other? If so, that would have been interesting to know. As it is, that entire area of sexual fluidity and surprise at what one is capable of, is ignored, as if we're in another BL fantasy world where everyone is gay and no one who isn't has a problem with it. But, that isn't the feel this show has had.

Likewise, Bing Chen going from wife to dude and having been straight and not attracted to men before, suddenly is romantically interested in one but thinks little if anything of it. Not realistic. No, there doesn't have to be great drama, angst, and tragedy on this topic but acting as if people in these situations would give it no thought is pretty lame.

Most of the artwork is sub-par, considering the high school guy is supposed to be exceptionally talented. The drawing he gave to teacher was pretty meh.

Overall, this show has some nice moments and some lame moments, both in writing and acting. I'll keep watching because there is nice, believable chemistry going on and the show has the ever-elusive quality of "heart."

Lame.
Stupid setup.
Football team with four members. lol
Bad acting.
That horrible background music that is constantly telling me to feel happy, funny, sad, ooh, danger!, etc. is beyond annoying.
This show feels like a Thai BL with slightly older/bulkier actors.
The tall one with the broad nose...that face is disturbing.
Overall, awful.

Knowing that our only reasonable hope for decent-to-great BLs lies with Korea, Japan, and Taiwan, it saddens me that this sucks.

Dropping.

why? just go to kissh.....Netflix does not deserve a single cent from anyone
The CREATORS and PRODUCERS have already been paid. Not watching on NF isn't going to take a dime from their pockets.

As for a boycott, I suppose I'll do that when my irritation at Korea's Celebrity Torture Suicide Machine overwhelms my enjoyment of select movies and music that emerges from there. Same for netflix. I don't live in a fantasy black/white universe. Do you?

I did not say the "crap" isn't on the pirates sites, did I? What I said was that because I have good adblockers and malware protection, I never see ANY ads and I don't get viruses. And yes, apparently, my ad blockers and malware walls ARE 100% effective.

Take your meds.

I agree. What exactly is that white hair even for? To look old?, while his face looks ultra young.
It's a dye job an idol would wear, not an executive in any real universe. But I suppose the viewer will be asked to believe that Jehoon's character is so eccentric and so magnificent at his job, that dyeing his hair platinum blonde is something he would do. If he's supposed to be prematurely gray, this looks fake as hell.

You need effective ad blockers and malware blockage.
I never see any ads on kisskh, nor do I get malware

Netflix is worth hundreds of billions of dollars. I'm not bothered in the slightest by people finding its content and watching it elsewhere, and I am a netflix subscriber. Also, as long as NF continues to allow the psycho societal norms of Korea dictate when and in what shape content made there is released, it can suck an egg.

This is one horrible wig..You can see by that hairline
I noticed that too.

Seeing as how the hair was always going to get a lot of attention in the context of this show (how many corporate negotiators at the top level bleach their hair white?), I'm surprised his hair wasn't actually colored for the role. Quite a few idols have had white hair, most notably Jonghyun of SHINee, and it looks cool when done properly.

Why not just color his hair? He could always have it dyed back to black after production. Interesting. I wonder why Lily Alice didn't just ask Je Hoon that question directly when she interviewed him in person for this article. :D
Lily Alice Feb 5, 2025
I'm interested to see how this show does in the ratings.
Lee Je Hoon is a great actor; one of my favorites, but the topic of negotiating corporate mergers and acquisitions, and a lead character who does that, sounds dry to me. I won't watch unless I hear it's sensational. I find extended storylines in multi-episode dramas, with the exception of a good BL, to be tiresome. I would much rather see the same plot in a tightly-scripted, two-hour film.

I would love to have seen Je Hoon play a son with Lee Sun Kyun as his dad. :( All that talent bouncing back and forth would have been sensational.

i agree that it's a misleading headline, but i think it is fair to describe his hair as 'unique' given it's unusual…
The problem overall is that Lily Alice simply states things as being the case without explaining in any way HOW or WHY it's the case. OK, if his hair is "unique," how so? She does not make any point such as your suggestion that it's rare for a businessman to have dyed hair like that, or how it relates to LJH's character. She doesn't quote him saying anything about that...it's just really bad writing. And this is the case with all her articles.

At least she's not sharing some made-up scandal, spreading rumors and half-truths and driving another celeb to suicide, so I guess that's something. :P

Side topic: Do you think he's actually wearing a well-made wig? The hairline looks lower than his natural hairline...I'm thinking it's a very expensive, well-designed wig. What do you think?
Lily Alice Feb 5, 2025
Congratulations to Lily Alice, MDL's very own worst writer of all time, on another horribly constructed article with her trademark false/misleading headline. lol You can't make this s**t up.

Lee Je Hoon says NOTHING here about his "unique hairstyle."

From the article - Everything aside ("everything aside????"), Lee Je Hoon's striking silver hair styling has garnered significant attention. He embraced the unique hairstyle as a way to distinguish Yoon Joo No as an extraordinary character. Lee explained, "I wanted the character's near-perfect inner self as a negotiator to be reflected in his outward appearance from the very first impression. I think his mysterious charm of being hard to read and seeming to hold some kind of secret will pique the viewers' curiosity."

Does anyone here see anything LJH says about his hairstyle? No...because he does NOT say anything about his hairstyle...nothing/nada/zilch. :P

Also, only Lily Alice would see Lee Je Hoon's white/silver hair as "unique" in Korea, where half the kpop idol population has or has had white/silver hair at one time or another. :D

Congratulations, Lily Alice, on another poorly written article with a nonsensical headline unconnected to the article's alleged central point, which doesn't exist. Well done!

lol Glad you understand. Thanks for your civil response.
I found this when it suddenly popped up on world-of-bl today. It seems almost no Japanese, Korean, or Taiwanese BLs show up until they are already airing. Of course, there are thousands of Thai BLs shown as upcoming, but who wants to watch that stuff?

It's a little unicorn of awesome that no one knows about. The insanely short episodes are insanely frustrating. I don't understand how any money was made on this thing. I'm hoping it's a promo for a full series. I remain in shock that the corporate slave is 42 years old IRL. wtf?

I agree but for me I dropped in, in ep 1 saved myself.
I get that and almost did the same. However, I felt a germ of a fun story in there and as another commenter said, the visuals were good.

I try very few Thai BLs, but the ones I do usually get dropped as quickly as you dropped this one. I don't even try anything out of the Philippines. God-awful.
