This is horrendously bad. Can't believe it's a Strongberry product. Their shows are normally top-notch. Couldn't finish the first episode. Stupid dialogue/tropes/cliches/predictable everything, no extras on campus, and worst of all, every one of the pretty boys is wearing the same pink lip gloss.
This looks, sounds, and feels like one of those fluffy Turds Out Of Thailand (TOOT).
Or maybe he is asexual. Kaori I'm not so sure. Some people suspect she's cheating or like girls or femme men.…
Why do you think it is that Kazuaki didn't explicitly say "I can't give you a sexual relationship, though I can give you everything else?" Because he never does say that. He keeps it vague, as in "the relationship you want," which could mean a lot of things. And yet he acts jealous when he sees that Sei is getting attention from elsewhere. At this point, it makes no sense, which is why I'm theorizing things like micropenises and missing testicles.
But even if he were asexual, even if he has no genitalia, he could still watch Sei jerk off as he proposed, which would be somewhat satisfying for Sei. But he won't even do that much. In fact, he acted panicked and disgusted. Something weird's up with that dude.
Only Strongberry could develop an off-beat concept like this and make it work. I laughed a lot. Love the deadpan deliveries and references to ancient and contemporary cultural markers. Even though no physical intimacy is shown on screen, not even a real kiss, the affection among these four immortals is palpable.
Anyone else suspect Kazuaki's problem is that he has a micro-penis and doesn't want anyone to see it? Teeny-tiny "micropenises" are a real medical condition (see below link). Or maybe he has no balls or something?
There is an excellent Japanese feature film titled "Wandering," starring the always great Matsuzaka Tori, in which his character has a micropenis, which is the source of his fear of intimacy. Good film.
No but literally Im gonna defend Kazauki he's literally always checking on Sei asking wether he wants a drink…
You're making stuff up. Kazuaki never specifically said their relationship would not include sex. Please provide the time stamp to where he said that. Thanks.
Some comments on here blaming Fujisawa for not want sexual things with Sei is so weird. He set his limits and…
Fujisawa never said anything about sex being withheld. You are making stuff up. "I can't give some sexual needs for you..." is a totally made-up quote. He said something vague like "I can't give you the kind of relationship you want..." He was NOT specific about what that meant. Sei should have asked for clarification but didn't do so.
If you disagree, please provide the time stamp to where Fujisawa spoke your made up quote. If you can't do that, then please refrain from inventing dialogue to fit your preferred version of what's going on in this story.
Bitch is for sure sleazing around around behind his back. "I'll sleep at my parents' house tonight...", my ass. I wonder how many guys she's doing? What a weirdo. I kind of hate her for the way she's manipulating/using Kazuaki as some sort of pretty picture for everyone on the outside. What a fake.
I like this show. Sexual frustration and other sexual problems are common in long-term relationships. Seeing the topic receiving the attention it deserves without judgment or prudery is refreshing.
That Kazuaki has no gay sexual experience to this point in his life is going to make things feel extra spicy when the inevitable occurs. I hope Sei is gentle with him. :)
Nice try. There is no such thing as "Chinese Queer Cinema" outside of collabs with other countries and no one…
I apologized. If you're too uptight to accept it, I do not care.
And yes, I am deeply troubled. I am insane. The nurses here at the asylum removed my straitjacket for 15 minutes so I could write this reply to you, but once they saw your comments and realized how pompous you are, they gave me 15 more. Thanks!
Lily Alice: Not only are you a terrible writer, but you and MDL are part of the problem.
You couldn't bring yourself to report these legal filings without REHASHING and spreading the "scandal" you helped develop and propagate in the first place, huh? You're disgusting. You refuse to get it.
"Earlier last year, Lee Hye Ri was embroiled in a scandal with her ex, Ryu Jun Yeol, with whom she had been in a relationship for about seven years, and who was seeing Han So Hee. With Han So Hee's involvement, many suspected she was the reason for Lee Hye Ri and Ryu Jun Yeol's separation. This led to rumors and malicious comments circulating online
'Notably, in October of the same year, a rumor spread that Han So Hee herself was one of Hye Ri's malicious commenters, which exacerbated the wave of negative comments directed at Hye Ri."
You actually quote the unproven rumors, thus spreading them further. I hope Lee Hye's lawyers come after you, Lily Alice.
Terrible. Unbearable. Cliche. Trope-ish. Badly acted/directed. More white face powder than an ancient Chinese opera. Thai-level bad bl somehow out of China. Avoid. Run screaming.
Chinese queer cinema continues to amaze. In the Panorama section of the Berlinale, which will be held from February…
Nice try.
There is no such thing as "Chinese Queer Cinema" outside of collabs with other countries and no one INSIDE China gets to see this stuff. because of the gay ban. Why are you pushing this narrative attempting to white wash the China gay ban? Do you work for Ruler for Life Xi Jinping?
"Silent Sparks" is fantastic, but it is out of TAIWAN, not the People's Republic of Homophobia.

The excellence of the writing/acting/direction/cinematography in most of its films is first-rate.
Private Lessons is one of its best.

You people are UNBELIEVABLE.
I know Tang Yi is the heartthrob here but it's A Fei I find myself leering at. Nothing sexier than goofy/sexy. :D
I'm beginning to suspect its screen name indicates the number of atoms that make up its miniscule brain.
