Just to be clear guys!!! It's a QUEER series!!! Not BL!! There is a difference!! Bl is part of queer genre...…
Stop trying to enforce your ridiculous, rigid labels on gay content; going so far as to come back here and police comments after the fact. "Just to be clear guys!!! It's a QUEER series!!! NOT BL!!" lol WTF says so? YOU?
Oh but look, you found something ON GOOGLE! Well then, it MUST be so!
Bite me. LITBC IS A BL!!!!! There. I said it, and I used more exclamation points than you so all the "guys" here will know it's a fact.
High production values, a refreshing OST, and awesome make-out scenes do not suffice to attone for the repetitious rot at the core of this story, its badly miscast male lead, and its heavy reliance on tired tropes, cliches and gay stereotypes. Its worst offense is that it is frequently dull.
I was going to rate it 4/10, but when I saw that absurd 8.7/10 at the top of the page, I took off two stars to counter you crazy up-raters out there.
This DOES get my award as the most disappointing BL of 2024...so far.
I was told this show was produced in Taiwan to get around the anti-fag Nazis in China. Now I learn that is not the case, and these four eps were already run, then pulled from IQIYI way back in August. It is beyond obvious they were not pulled due to "technical" issues, but to issues of censorship from the Commies. Thus, I predict we will see no more than these four episodes. And if we do, they will be heavily censored.
In which case I am not giving one more second of my time to this show even though I have watched two eps and like what I see so far. I boycott anything out of China due to its psycho gay-hate, and I'm not about to watch another trash censored bl out of that black hole of repression.
Does anyone here have the low-down on this with FACTS? All I've found by googling around is random speculation.
I wish MDLers and everyone else would stop slobbering over whatever censored crumbs the Commies deign to allow to fall from its table. All you're doing is supporting a repressive regime. I'm all for watching shows financed out of China but produced and distributed out of Taiwan, but when will you learn the Commies are not going to allow uncensored homo content?
Another great performance that showcase another deaf character the enriches the story. I love the way the writers…
Yes, but...deafness has become a BL fad for some reason. It's partially been the theme of five recent shows. I'd like to know how Liu came to know sign language though. He appears to be very familiar with it. Stalker?
Episode 2: Amazing what a difference good acting and direction make. Perhaps the producers took the time and made the effort to cast talented actors, rather than picking them off of fashion runways in Bangkok. Oh, what? This isn't Thai? OH...now I get it.
I became Verklempt twice: When Grandpa was missing and when Liu gave the precious gift to the boy with hair the color of bright urine. Very emotional both times. Qin Xiao is a remarkable actor.
It wasn't until halfway through this episode that I realized the guy in the bar and the guy running the art studio are the same dude. Amazing what a difference a pair of glasses can make. His adoration for the urine-haired boy is touching, but I hope he buys him some high-quality hair dye soon. That hair makes it impossible to decide if he's cute or not.
It is something what a difference in our looks things like hair color, hairstyle, and glasses can make.
After the guys had the intense confrontation with the drunken father, he simply wasn't around for a while. They…
Nope. Most of my points reflect things that have already taken place, not anything that needs "evidence." lol
This part of my comments was meant for people like you: "...that I suspect plenty of viewers nevertheless will jump through hoops and run around barriers to defend despite what's in front of them (or not in front of them) on the screen."
That would make more sense if he didn't appeared so close to his ex-bully in episode 4...I'm looking forward to…
lol I haven't made up any shit, child, that's your thing. Can you quote where I told you you "have to share" my opinion? No, because I never said that. Just one more thing you made up in your silly little head.
What's dull are your critical skills and taste level, child.
It's very important to the "queer" police here that everyone has "queer" shoved down their throats, isn't it?
Oh but look, you found something ON GOOGLE! Well then, it MUST be so!

Good lord.
