Why are you dragging Kim Nam Gil for dropping the drama? It was a smart move. He's an amazing actor with good…
You seem to be confusing the actor with the character he was playing in "No Regret," which was the point of my question in reply to the brain-dead "good morals" comment above it.

The CHARACTER'S morals are in question, not the actor's, just as an actor who takes part in a webtoon adaptation depicting scenes of racist images, actions, and behaviors is not a racist. In this case, it sounds as though in the role for which he was cast, KNG's character would not have acted out any of the aforementioned behaviors, though other actors/characters would have.

Your statement of "concern" above is a bit silly. Of course, you're "concerned," that's your reaction to the behavior. Are you not "concerned" when an actor portrays a character who commits murder, rape, arson, kidnapping, torture, theft, or any other of a thousand negative human actions? is it only racist and sexual infidelity that "concerns" you? Of course not.

However, the depiction of negative human behaviors in drama and art of all kinds is what gives drama its conflict and depth, as it has since plays were first written and enacted thousands of years ago, depicting murder, incest, adultery, and all manner of horrendous activities. If there is no darkness to lend contrast, and all we see is the light, art of all kinds would be...boring and meaningless.

But apparently, that's what you and a few thousand attention-seeking, self-righteous netizens want to see onscreen; nice characters enacting nice behaviors and experiencing nice outcomes. No one would bother watching such pablum.

What would Korean entertainment media write about without all these manufactured "controversies" that amount to nothing? If this webtoon is as freaky as it sounds, I hope the director/writers don't drain all the juice out of it in the adaptation.

I just did a little research on "Get Schooled." It's the same old, censor-happy, busy-bodies attempting to shut down anything that takes them out of their comfort zone. Guess what? Art exists to challenge us and take us out of our comfort zones.

Please tell me how one confronts/addresses racism/homophobia/xenophobia/murder/kidnapping/adultery/rape/torture/authoritarianism/etc. without DEPICTING the behaviors and speech that flow from those things? Answer: It can't be done.

So, the answer, as always, is if you don't like what you're seeing, watching, viewing, hearing, STOP seeing, watching, viewing, hearing it and leave the rest of us alone.

It's telling the webtoon has been pulled from the web only in North America because we have a high concentration of delicate flowers.

Finally, the webtoon has 99M views. The Tik Tok video getting all the attention was made by some American girl who is unable to articulate her objections and thus uses head bobs, facial contortions, eye-rolls and smirks instead, and has 22,000 views. Who cares what these people say? NINETY-NINE MILLION VIEWS.

There is a HUGE audience for the series being made from this toon and I hope the producers don't flush the life out of it on screen. I applaud KMY for taking over this role. I've long thought highly of him as an actor and human being; now I feel more so that way. I am eager to see the adaptation and I hope it is as fearless as its source material.

"...good morals." lol

Was Kim Nam Gil having "good morals" when he was cheating on his fiancee with a dude, butt-f**king that dude in the a** repeatedly, then dumping the dude he was butt-f**king to go ahead and marry the fiancee he had been cheating on with the dude he was butt-f**king, in my second-favorite movie of all time, "No Regret?"

Just asking.

Episode 10:
ugh. It was coming along so well, too...

It's unfortunate to see so many ancient BL tropes raise their hideous heads late in the game.

It's unfortunate to see so many endless filler scenes of the side couple acting cutesy/flirty. Speaking of which, in general, I have nothing against age-gap relationships. What creeps me out about this one is that Liu is every bit the adult man but his love interest has the maturity and affect of a child. I assume he's of age, but he comes off as11 years old. The problem is their personality difference. Not believable, unless we find out in the finale that Liu is a pedo who figures since he can't HAVE an 11-year-old and stay out of prison, the next best thing is to have a legal-aged teenager who ACTS like an 11-year-old.

The lack of indicated physical intimacy between the MC is a problem, in that it compromises the believability of their relationship. Two guys that age would be going at it every chance they get. Before the army of MDL prudes swoops in, this does NOT mean we have to SEE actual "NC (lol)" sex scenes between these guys; but it would lend great credibility if it were simply INDICATED that they were doing the deed. Without that element, this treads too closely to the sexless, fluff & unicorns vibe so many MDL LIttle Girls like to see.

This was mostly a yawner episode. Fingers crossed for next week.

A film with a wild twist at the end, but it didn't work for me. Instead of reacting like, "OH...that's what was going on..." I thought, "wait, the writers/director deliberately scammed me with no tell-tale clues along the way as to what was actually going on. NONE."

First we had the overweight guy, then he disappeared completely and we had the slender guy only from then on. It's not like all the pieces came together at the end for a massive "AH-HA" moment, because there were no pieces in the first place. It was all an opaque misdirection by the storytellers.

Oh well...whatever. Matsudo Shota is one of the best JP actors alive, and he looks fine af here, so there's that. And I have to say that Murita Kanro as the overweight guy was excellent too. This may be the first time I've found myself getting hot for a guy with his body type, but there it is. I did. :P Beneath that layer of chub is a handsome face. Some of the best acting in the flick came from him. When Mayuko told him on the phone what she told him early on, watching his face and eyes as he heard those words brought me to tears. It was paper towel time again, which I did not expect.

OK, so...I was not bored or watching the clock during this watch; always a good sign, but the ending was a rip-off for me, so 6/10.

Link is no longer working.
Damn, sorry to hear that. Not surprised it got pulled down, though.
Here's another link to the film: https://b4watch.com/movies/no-regret/
I don't think it's the remastered print, but the picture is far better than the fuzzy, 360p version I watched the first three times. I love this movie. :)
Enjoy!

Wow, I hate that this is one of LSK's last three films. He deserves a much greater final legacy than this absurdity. "Sleep" was a letdown too.

In 2024, you can no longer get away with CGI that lame. The dogs look fake in several ways.
I'd go on about this, but I'm dropping out at about 25 minutes. When people started running instead of simply getting into cars and locking the doors, it was over for me. That was the nail in the coffin. I don't care for action films during which I am asked to repeatedly ignore incredibly stupid decisions; this time hundreds of people making the same stupid choice at the same time.

Dropped.

Wow. You are obstinate af. I didn't look at the date of your original comment, I usually don't. Why would I? Do you always check the dates of comments you reply to? lol Then you come in thinking "oh how stupid to reply to a three-year-old comment," and then you REPLY TO THE REPLY you said was left three years too late. You're either just stubborn or stupid yourself and projecting.

Title The Childe
Yet ANOTHER fantastic Korean crime/mystery/thriller! Wow!
One of the most breathtaking car chase scenes ever and one of the most stunning fight scenes ever. The weeks and weeks of learning the choreography and rehearsing to put that kind of scene, with that many actors, together astounds me.

The only thing that could have made it better is the two MLs going gay for each other at the end. They'd make a beautiful couple.

Can't say enough good things about this movie. Watch it. Highly recommended.
I don't hand out 10s very often, but this is getting one.

10/10

"Evil..." "the evil trait..." lol What, are we talking about the mark of the devil and voodoo here or what? Good people who are mentally ill do awful things they would never do otherwise. It's 2024; catch up.

"I think I realized that I hate people who cheat."Another typical, clueless MDLer comment. You have no idea how…
It's entertaining when people like you can't handle a strong disagreement, words fail them, so they resort to silliness like "you self-entitled prick...waaaaaaaaaaaah." It almost sounds like you feel...inferior. I mean if I'm "superior," that makes you the former, yes?

I like this comment section just fine, you insecure clit (almost rhymes with "prick," don't you think?). I'll keep my life and my ass right here, reading your sad, attention-seeking tantrums.

Title Obsessed
"I think I realized that I hate people who cheat."Another typical, clueless MDLer comment. You have no idea how…
Hey child, please quote me where I tried to "justify" anything, let alone the affair. An EXPLANATION is not a blessing; that's in your head. The fact that millions of people cheat every day puts the character's behavior in perspective.

And once again, I repeat: He was suffering from PTSD, was on meds, severely depressed and anxious, and on top of it was drinking heavily as often as he could, despite doctor's orders NOT to. He was massively out of his mind through the entire OBSESSION. That doesn't justify the affair, but it sure does explain it in a far less judgmental way than your sort does.

It's not that I can't "understand" some people's opinions, it's that I disagree with them, and I say so. I specifically addressed the commenter above's announcement that she "hates" people who cheat. Very childish.
