What a coincidence, dating "scandal" right before her comeback 🙄🙄
Could you point out where the word "scandal" is used in either the headlines or body of this story?
So are you implying her agency floated this rumor deliberately through The Trash, I mean The Fact so that the actor could deny it, giving willingly oblivious outlets like MDL a "hook" on which to hang information about her "comeback?" I mean, you could be right. It seems nothing is beneath these entertainment agencies, as is the case with Korean media, netizens, and law enforcement.
As an American, I loathe the way the word "comeback" is used and abused in K-Entertainment. "Comeback" necessarily implies that the person in question went away to...somewhere...and is now returning, or fell from favor in their career somehow. In fact, they went nowhere at all and they haven't failed either; they just have a new movie/drama/song/album/whatever coming out. But "comeback" sounds more exciting and rousing than a simple press release with the headline "So-and-stars in the new drama _______________." It's another example of the breathless, melodramatic style of news reporting in Korea.
I see, however, that in this one case, the actress actually DID "go away somewhere," seeing as this is her first project in four years.
Hey, MDL, catch a clue and stop reporting intrusive "news" stories about entertainers' private lives.
Have you learned nothing from what was done to LSK and how that ended up?
My thoughts on the "dating issue is it is NONE OF OUR BUSINESS. If an entertainer wants the public to know something like this, they can post it on Instagram and be done with it.
Her agency putting out a statement is ridiculous too. They should ignore these trash stories, although...a commenter below suspects her agency floated this rumor as a hook on which to hang an announcement of the new drama she's in. Who knows? Wouldn't a well-written, informative press release about her involvement in the show and what it's about make more sense? Start a rumor about the private life of one of your own actors so they and you can immediately deny it? Pretty lame. Not very attention-grabbing.
Furthermore, the subhead on this dumb story is repulsive as well. What do you mean, she is "embroiled" in a "dating rumor?" The use of the word "embroiled" immediately casts a vague air of negativity on the actor. Do you even know what "embroiled" means? Well, I'll tell you:
embroil verb transitive verb
1: TO THROW INTO DISORDER OR CONFUSION 2: TO INVOLVE IN CONFLICT OR DIFFICULTIES Example: EMBROILED IN CONTROVERSY
I think you used the word deliberately to make the story sound as if it is reporting on something suspicious that is part of the ongoing "buzz" and thus worthy of looking into. As it turns out, not only is this woman not "embroiled" in anything whatsoever, she is not even dating the guy. So your "story's" second and third paragraphs entirely cancel out its first paragraph. There is NO story at all. This thing should not be posted on your site.
Another problem: "Meanwhile, Lee Kang In's side neither admitted nor denied the dating reports..."
The use of the phrase "neither admitted nor denied, " most often used in relation to accusations/allegations, is similarly appalling here. You "admit or deny" something negative you have been accused of doing. This man doesn't have to "admit or deny" anything to anybody, most of all the Korean media or MDL, for god's sake.
Even in the sentence that establishes there is no relationship, as stated by the agency, the writer of this thing uses the phrase "According to the agency...", as if to say "this is what they SAY, but you and I know there still might be something going on." Typical Korean gossip rag-type language.
And let us not ignore the use of the word "allegedly" in this story, which is there to cover your and The Fact's (what an ass-backward name for a rag that mostly spreads unfounded rumors) asses.
FINALLY, this: "This will also be her first-ever project after being involved in the bullying issue in his former K-pop girl group April." Let The Fact and MDL never fail to leap at a chance to vaguely mention another, out-of-date, negative issue, thus reminding the public of whatever the "bullying issue" was. What "bullying issue?" What did she do? That sentence is designed to send Netizens streaking to their keyboards to remind themselves of or discover for the first time, what the "bullying Issue" was. Good god, it never ends.
Please take down this post. Please stop posting intrusive, sloppy, and sleazy articles about the private lives of entertainers. Please be part of the solution, rather than part of the problem.
Maybe suicide is selfish but everone has to bear own pain and when one can't endure anymore, also has a right…
No posing here. This is who I am and what I think.
You see me as "righteous" because you're wrong and you know it. Cuts no ice with me.
And "dirty?" That's YOU again (wow! You keep projecting your shit onto me), slinging that dirt at a dead man, demanding proof of innocence from someone who owes you nothing, even after those who think as you do have put him in his grave.
Good job. St. Sebastian wouldn't think so, though. You're one of those shooting the arrows.
Maybe suicide is selfish but everone has to bear own pain and when one can't endure anymore, also has a right…
Me?
You, who just explained to us how this fine man, just a few days dead should have to prove to you and Korean society that he IS a "decent person" because you crazy people speculate he MAY NOT BE ONE, aren't the problem at all...
Oh yeah, me calling an asshole whose perspective on this matter is that screwed up an "asshole," which is what he is, is definitely aggravating Korea's celebrity-suicide culture problem.
People who go around insulting character assassination/suicide victims here left and right are definitely NOT the biggest part of the problem. Oh yeah, you're for sure right about that!
Maybe suicide is selfish but everone has to bear own pain and when one can't endure anymore, also has a right…
Once again, you're an asshole. Where do you live? Are you Korean?
I ask, because this idea that what he did or did not do in his private life is any of my or your or anyone else's business is...fucked up. And if I found out he wrote a bad check, I wouldn't care because I like him for his acting and charm. If I found out he slept around I wouldn't care because it's none of my business, it doesn't have anything to do with his professional performance, and I have flaws too, and am thus in no position to judge.
Unlike you of course, who live a flawless life. How do I know YOU are not a bad person? Well, actually , I DO know you're a bad person based on the content of your comments here. Also, going by your logic, I feel free to assume you are a child molester and rapist because, well, you haven't proved to me that you're NOT.
You are PRESUMING he is a bad person and demanding proof to the contrary, which is the opposite of the way a decent person/society and legal system should work. And it's just like an asshole such as yourself to demand, from your perch on your highest horse in the world that I get down off my non-existent one.
In the U.S. we do not demand that of our celebrities that we couldn't possibly ask of ourselves if everyone was peeking in our windows.
Maybe suicide is selfish but everone has to bear own pain and when one can't endure anymore, also has a right…
1. I assume the best of people until I have clear evidence to think the worst...unlike you and Korea. 2. I am a big fan of LSK and have watched every movie he's made, thus I've followed his career and to a slight extent his fame. I've seen nothing that indicates he's anything OTHER than a decent human being. 3. I have the good sense and decency to not believe sadistic liars and rumor mongers on the Internet. 4. Ditto women with a criminal history who accuse people with zero criminal history of crimes. 5. Ditto women who blackmail other people. 6. You are an asshole for questioning his decency, especially now. Just another cheap, indirect pot-shot at a dead man. Proud?
I agree with you. All these people talking about how korea is a toxic country are blind hypocrites who are trying…
lol, omg...you are a living breathing stereotype.
Let me apologize on behalf of all white people everywhere for forcing Koreans (what color do you consider Koreans to be? I need to know.) to hound the best among them to suicide. We are deeply, deeply sorry.
It's important to avoid making sweeping generalizations about any group of people based on individual tragedies.…
lol Yeah, yeah, yeah...America is the Great Satan, as the Iranians used to call us. Which is all well and good, but guess what? Our suicide rate is HALF that of Korea's and I'm pretty sure this thread is about suicide, especially that of celebs.
No, Korea is definitely not the most toxic country as some racist posts would claim. You want to see a toxic country?I…
When it comes to suicide, Korea is toxic af and you know it, which is why you're posting lots of hysterical, defensive, and irrational comments. But you're not helping.
BTW, if Korea's so awesome, why are you in Canada?
Show me another modern well developed and educated country in which society chasitises its celebrities to the…
Well, except that she's an idiot for believing Korean is a "race." lol
Han Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans share 99% of the same genetic makeup. Yet only Korea among them has a 28.6 per 100,000 suicide rate, the worst in the developed world by far. But yeah, it's a "race" thing.
@Seeker of Truth ....Hello. I dont want to be rude.. but nobody wanted a history lesson. Right know the spotlight…
You think wrong. The three countries with the highest suicide rates among ALL nations are small, poor, and African. God, do some research. China and Russia, allegedly Communist, or were, also have suicide rates far higher than the U.S.
But yeah, it's the capitalism that causes suicide.
I see alot of racist and ignorant comments.Korea is not nearly as sick as the Western imperialists who have raped,…
You are full of s**t. The subject here is celebrity suicide in Korea, not World History.
Perhaps you should start a thread somewhere else about the evils of Russian communism and evil American Imperialism. This isn't really what's being discussed here.
Oh, and NO ONE said Korea is the most evil country in history. What drugs are you on?

Words have specific definitions and meanings.
