What’s sad is that we tend to judge and pile on, without facts. It hurts that he could not envision daylight…
I'd ask that you not throw around that word "WE" quite so loosely. Most people do not pile on like ravenous vampires eager to destroy anyone with talent and grace who dares to be human. I certainly do not do that; I make a point of NOT doing it.
The monsters, mostly anonymous, asshole "netizens" online, are a specific group of people who have far more power with their vicious hate/jealousy than their numbers justify, who do the vile work of character assassination, with total disregard for facts. RUMOR is their life blood. I hate and despise them.
I don't know what Korea needs to do to get a handle on this appalling problem, but I wish much more would be done than currently is. Most importantly, I think its culture must free itself from this fetish/obsession with SHAME, so that people put in a harsh spotlight do not respond by feeling that the existence of even one hundred percent false allegations is somehow their fault and that everyone is looking down on them and there family, thus the only honorable way out is death.
From the U.S., and as a huge fan of Korean cinema and some of its music, the view of some of my favorite actors appearing at funeral after funeral after funeral, is horrific. I am intensely worried about Yoo Ah In, who has been in the Netizen target sites for months, taking this path. God, I hope not. He is such a gifted actor.
Hmmm...I wonder what is the source of your desperate need for attention in this case.No pedo or incest here. You…
No one said you can't have an opinion, just that you use words as they are defined in the dictionary. Your need for attention is "desperate" in that here you are, long after several comments have proven no incest and no pedophilia, but you're now trying to change the subject to one of vague moral disapproval of a teacher "kissing his student," BY ACCIDENT, YOU NINNY! and you've dropped the ridiculous "incest" fantasy altogether.
If no characters in movies or dramas did questionable things, even by accident, they would all be boring as hell. People do questionable, gray-area things in life everyday, ergo characters do questionable things in story-telling all the time.
It technically isn't pedophilia (since Toki isn't a child) and there's definitely no incest here cos To-do and…
Actually, all you need to do is learn the definitions of words and use them properly. You may think it's "gross" or "weird" for a 25-27 year old to kiss a 17-18 year old, but whatever it is, it most definitely is NOT pedophilia.
I get that you are morally superior to me and I bow down before your purity of heart, soul, and mind. You, alone among all humans, it is clear, are righteous and pure while the rest of us are horny scum.
Be that as it may, however, you still have to abide by the proper definitions of words like the rest of us.
It's notable you didn't even try to support your use of the word "incest." I think you knew perfectly well you were misusing the words when you wrote your first comment, but were eager to show off your high moral standing with a stupid comment.
I was nodding along with you until you randomly inserted homosexuality into the topic.Hitting 40 unmarried does…
I find it funny how you can't seem to find any way of arguing besides making up shit I never said.
I said he sets off MY gaydar, MY, MINE, ME, get it? I said I think he's gay. I didn't say YOU or anyone else thinks so, did I now? But that's my opinion and I've every right to share it.
I don't care what YOU assume, that's your thing. How dare you assume he's straight, brainiac? Because he got married? lol Which leads us to more evidence of your homophobia; You think being gay is shady and disgusting, else why would you so vehemently argue with me as though I've asserted he is Satan or something equally sinister like, you know, being gay.
What in the world does being a fan of an actor have to do with the fact he sets off my gaydar despite his wedding? Nothing, that's what.
I've known a lot of men inside and outside the entertainment industry who have married as a cover for their sexuality. Gay actors are a pretty common thing, but especially in Korea, where being openly gay is still a negative, like it clearly is to you, most of them choose to hide it.
This movie just wore me down. Plot confusing as hell. When you're watching one of the most flabbergasting chase scenes you've ever scene, with thrill after thrill and yet somehow, you're bored, there's a problem.
Wow, Pedophilia and incest. It seems like a great series!!
Hmmm...I wonder what is the source of your desperate need for attention in this case. No pedo or incest here. You just want to play self-righteous by pretending there is. Weirdo.
What are u expecting from two high school boys who lived in the era of around 2000 in the asian country??? Please…
Well, hello to Bangladesh from 8026 miles away in Kansas, one of the United States. It is dead-center in the middle of the contiguous U.S. on a map.
When I hear of Bangladesh I always think back to the horrible famine there in 1974-75, after the Pakistanis retreated, leaving cities and farms demolished. There were horrible floods too. Rice crop destroyed. I think about 1.5M people died. I was in high school at the time, and there were a lot of relief shipments to Bangladesh from the U.S., so I remember it well.
Have you researched the definitions of "pedophilia" and "incest" yet?
Didn't think so.
I thought it would be powerful, deeply moving, all that stuff, but It's just not happening for me.
Dropped.

Dropped.

They're all so handsome/cute that I don't care much, though.
Next ep. looks promising.

I'm glad things are much better there now.
I'm out at 30 minutes.
