Title One Room Angel Spoiler
*points out at the last scene of episode 1 My guess he's not 3,500 yrs old but his old school friend that dies…
Wow. I missed that. Has Kiko made reference to what you mention, some friend that died young?

Hello, I know that it's been a month, but I believe that the movie addresses and explores all of these issues.…
Thank you for your reply. I'm not surprised this is how the plot went, but as I said above, I was not only grossed out that they were pretending a dead body with a dead brain was alive, I was bored. The acting/direction/pacing just put me off, so I dropped it.

Also, I don't like how the mother was portrayed here since she was really supportive of her daughter in real life.…
This is a fictional, live-action dramatic film BASED ON actual events, not a documentary meant to recreate exactly what happened IRL. Filmmakers can change parts of such stories in any way they want. They do it all the time.

Nope. No way in hell I'm watching this. Just ran across it and made the mistake of googling the event this film…
I understand the gist of your comment, but surely you know shit like this and shit a hundred times worse has gone down all over the world every single day since humans have existed. What's most appalling are those fucking parents and others in authority who for reasons far beyond me, are allowed to re-victimize and traumatize victims in situations like this and many other cases in Korea. I won't pretend to understand what that's all about because it's so fucked up I kind of don't want to understand, I just want it to stop.

Wow. My gut hurts. Great film. Great acting. Highly recommended.

And casting great actors.
I'm getting up there myself, but so far no significant issues. It'll happen though, just as you say. However, I definitely did not get the memo about growing up.
Things I like:
Korn, Korn, and Korn
Knock/Korn chemistry
Yiwha: character AND actor
Leads' commitment to character, including uninhibited physical expressions of love
Farm's turning into a devious but cute manipulator and ho to punish Bright
All the representations of characters as real people with flaws who sometimes fail to live up to their own standards and hurt others
Representations of regret, remorse, apology, and forgiveness
Exciting, challenging, unexpected, and transgressive behaviors from main characters, which provided intense drama and major feels
Rit's cuteness
Korn, Knock, Cho, Fai, and Rit's bodies
The group window peeping at Korn/Knock

Things I don't like:
Bright the actor
Fai being a self-righteous, judgmental busy-body with no life of her own - kept wishing someone would tell her to mind her own business. But then I realized Fai is there to speak for all the self-righteous busy-bodies in the audience who think they're fit to pass judgment on others for being human. Still don't like Fai's nosiness and attitude.
The entire Yiwha/Art thing turning out to not even have happened at all - extremely bogus storytelling and deliberate misdirection from the writers. Why would Yiwha go on letting everyone think she'd banged Art when no such thing ever took place?
All the long, unnecessary pauses between characters' lines in dialogue. People don't talk like that.
The unending, annoying music, telling us how to feel about every word that was spoken or act that was made. Cheesy and insulting.

Still, this is one of the best Thai BLs in existence. I give it a 10/10 to counteract some of the psychos here who gave it a 1/10 because, omg, someone...CHEATED!!!!!!!! Grow up, people.

As you explore and share, consider the words of Nobel Prize-winning author William Faulkner, "In writing, you must kill all your darlings."

Faulkner meant that writers must ruthlessly eliminate any words, flowery descriptives or turns of phrase that they personally love but that do nothing for the story, or in this case, the comment. Just a thought.

Not that you asked. Feel free to ignore me.

The plus side of the sorry fact that few MDLers are watching this excellent show is that we don't have to read inane comments by 13-year-old fangirls expressing outrage at the "appalling age gap" between Koki and Angel. lol Just like everything else, the age gap is part of what makes this interesting, intriguing and NOT a Thai fluff-fest.

Besides, Angel may be 3,500 years old!

If anything, it's a subversive fluff-fest. Angel's wings are, after all, fluffy.

It's subversive and much better than 90% of BLs. How's that?

Another wonderful comment! But hey, based on some hints from Koki's phone convo with his mom, I think we're going to find out she cares about him a lot underneath her gruff/tough/jaded exterior. She runs a fucking brothel, for god's sake! lol But before she hung up, she told him, "no matter what, I'm glad you're still alive." Plus, SHE called HIM. And we see in the preview of next week that she shows up at his house. She cares about him and I think we'll discover she's a good person, too.

Koki is ridiculously handsome when he is emotingAlso, 2 eps in and I can already tell. This one is going to destroy…
To me, it's charisma and natural sexual energy that overwhelms his unusual looks and makes him powerfully attractive. But his looks are likely a big part of the reason the show's rating is currently so low: 13-year-old MDL fangirls do NOT go for "unique," they go for "idol," and they don't understand sexual energy. In fact, most are frightened by it.

Bravo! I second every word of your comment. This is the kind of show of such quality that it's simply over the heads of the majority MDL crowd.

I second Maggi64: MDL is an outlier full of immature, BL fan girls who think Bad Buddy is a "masterpiece." A low rating here is pretty much a compliment, as annoying as they can sometimes be to see.

Angel is the saltiest bitch ever written. And the actor plays it so well. The first two episodes are really strong.…
But he's a sweet, salty bitch. It's clear he likes Koki and now thinks he's cute despite his cranky, fixed expression.
