Matsuzaka Tori is one of my fave actors, but I'm dumping this thing at 25 minutes. I've had my fill lately of bitchy, psycho, hyper-neurotic women in Japanese films at whose feet men are constantly falling despite overwhelming evidence they are horrible people.
A watch retailer makes a house call to deliver an expensive watch, free of charge as a replacement for one damaged during repair. The woman customer is clearly off her rocker, throws a tantrum and dissolves into sobs. So naturally, the hot watch man kisses her passionately. Spare me. I'm out.
Jang Yoo Sang is heartbreaking perfection in this role. He is one of my favorite actors and he is tragically under-utilized in Korean cinema. He moves me to the core in every role I've seen him play.

This is one of my top ten favorite shorts, but I don't claim to KNOW what happened at the end. It sure looked as though he was going to remove the mask. My feeling after a fifth watch is that he left a suicide video in his locker instead of a note, and went to kill himself.
A disturbing story, psychologically interesting in its build-up given the actions of the characters. I can understand…
What rendezvous are you referring to? My best guess is Shiwoo went to kill himself, leaving a suicide video in his locker rather than a note. However, if that's the case, I don't know why he'd go to the trouble of emptying the locker in the first place.
I have watched this one at least six times and find something new in the story with every watch. My feelings on who is more at fault have switched back and forth, which is entertaining and an indicator of great writing. Good acting as well.

Lots of pretty pictures in service to a very ugly, very common tale. By two-thirds through, I was basically holding on just so I could see that annoying, psycho, second mistress and him off themselves.
Prettiest picture of all was the ten minutes we got of the stunning Kora Kengo.
What a sappy, predictable, cliche, and ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL movie! I loved it!
Ma Dong Seok really is a Korean national treasure. It's too bad his muscular physicality is so overwhelming it's impossible to know how good an actor he'd be in a compelling, conventional leading man role that had nothing to do with his body and looks. I've seen enough of his movies now, however, to know that he brings a huge heart and giant loads of charisma with him wherever he goes. I've also seen him be a really mean asshole, so let's just agree he's a well-rounded actor after all. :D

Hsiao Hung is 100% remarkable and uniquely talented, a real one-of-a-kind. His physical beauty is icing on the cake of his charisma, screen presence, and comedic acting chops. I've no doubt he's just as good a dramatic actor. This guy could be a major star.

Ignore the ridiculous review above. There is NO "explicit" sex in this movie. Porno is explicit, this isn't even close, and there's not much of it.

God, this is crap. I've seen enough over-acting and fake schoolgirls' Lesbian love in the first twenty minutes to last a lifetime. The screaming of lines alone is enough to make me drop this. Which I have.
