Episode 1: Zhen is scary skinny. He looks like he pulled himself out of a Manga. That long neck is amazing, but I can't imagine that seeing his stick-thin, ivory-white bod standing naked and covered in soap suds would be arousing.
The dubbing is obnoxious as per usual, but I guess that goes with the territory. It gives CH dramas a strange vibe, like watching from a distance through a pane of glass.
I hope this gets as pervy as the immediate focus on transgressive sex indicates.
The restaurant scene, with its two-way angst, didn't seem to serve a purpose, since they were instantly eating together as if it never happened. The little girl thing and the hug...strange.
Episodes 3–4 ReviewDespite its outstanding ratings, this series has become a fan favorite while, in my opinion,…
I agree with some of what you wrote, though not all of it. How would you steal a car...do you mean hold someone up and force them out at gunpoint? Or hot-wire a random parked car?
I have caught a few bogus moments, too, like the 100-round shout-out you mention, but I was wondering how many freaking rounds can be in one gun without a reload?
There's a cheap and absurd contrivance that saves a key character's life in episode 4.
I really hate when an otherwise excellent show/flick is compromised by moments like that. They wreck my suspension of disbelief but worse, are entirely avoidable with some creativity.
I always wonder...didn't anyone watch the final cut, or did they not care enough to fix these flubs?
Episode 4: The thrills continue, though it slowed midway, where I paused it and went to bed until finishing it the next day.
A few disappointing moments: The oh-so-convenient moment that saves a key character from being discovered, a contrivance that is beneath the excellence of this show. Why would a key character push open a door, betray their presence, and slowly reveal themself to someone they'd been in fear of their life from 30 seconds earlier?
I've yelled out loud in shock/surprise several times during this show so far. :)
Does any story NEED to be told? Isn't it more a matter of someone WANTING to tell a story, and then doing so?Could…
Typical sex-phobic MDL Church Lady Prude, denouncing a movie as porn (not "pirn, whatever that is), without bothering to view it so they'd know what they're talking about.
You don't know if it's porn, you don't know if it's "arty," you don't know if it's boring, you don't know about alcoholics who drink expensive wine, either.
Oddly enough, though, you presumed to comment on all four matters, anyway. I suspect you have issues surrounding sex and alcohol, and are projecting.
I hope she's not the FL, every FL he played with suffered b/c of his fans, even BL wasn't spared. She's doing…
Oh, bullshit. His fans are no more psycho than any other group of crazed Asian fans obsessed with their idol/actor god. All of these people are weirdo losers who have no lives off the Internet and abuse celebs to give meaning to their existence.
Why should she lose a plum role because of this insanity?

You must be one of the MDL up-raters.
Episodes 1-2 felt fresh, but 3 bored me.
Lots of tropes popping up, also.
I'll keep watching, but not with any degree of excitement.
Well, that was boring...

Thus, your opinion about it is worthless.
Your insecurities about your tastes in movies are well-founded, however.

Admit it, you loved it.
They're all nuts.
