When Tharn asked Type to go buy a new bed sheet with him, I assume Type gives him that look because... buying bed sheet is a very domestic thing? Like, a local supermarket wouldn't randomly have bed sheet (in my experience, anyway), so you'd have to go out of your way to reach a place that sells them. Usually then, people would just go alone or with their partner (i.e. someone that shares their bed).
I don't get it. How did Type go from "No way, no how" to "Let's have some more of this"? I know Tharn is damn…
True. It's still in character; we know Type isn't good at managing his emotions, so he must've like the sex so much, he just goes with it. But a little more explanation is needed.
The first episode gives ample bad omens. Should I just avoid this drama?
Though I think they wrote a new script instead of going with either version of the novel; there's no mention of Bright at all in the novel summary that LazySubber posted a long time ago.
Beam is a bit... He's meant to exude that tsundere ice queen aesthetic, but the awkward pauses within conversation ends up making his stone-face looks more nervous than cold.
Also, this ForthBeam trip is definitely filmed at two different times (which you can tell by Forth's hairstyle). I found it jarring at first but eventually get used to it.
Now the good stuff. ForthBeam is a satisfying watch. And the MingKit preview.
PhaYo is good, but all the build-up with a bland climax; they get just an OK in my book.
I think season 3 will be based on the newly released book 4 and will feature the 4th couple.
I haven't actually read the 4th book myself, but that blonde guy in the cover is definitely not one of the 6 moons we're already familiar with. IIRC the 4th book is about sophomore Suthee and a freshmen moon.
Well, the word 'good' itself is relative. To me this series is good for a BL (as you said, due to the lack of option), but in the grand scheme of tv series, I know this one is pretty meh.
y did yo ask for the tomato sauce when they were eating pizza
It's pretty normal. The americanized pizza that they sell here in Southeast Asia comes with tomato or chilli sauce that you can add if you want more flavor.
This is so sad to hear, they are the best couple in the story and they have. so little screentime?but I remember…
Ah, that'll be good then. In the novel Mingkit and Forthbeam stories end when they become official (well, Forthbeam has 1 last act after they become official, but Mingkit has none).
They have more part in the bonus chapters, but I don't think we'll see that in this season.
Mingkit confession scene ends up a lot sweeter than how I imagine them in the novel (not that I'm complaining). It's probably because Kit smiles a lot here, more than how I imagine novel Kit would do the scene.
But... This is their last major scene. :( After this they'll just fade to the background.
wait... am I the only one who didn't take the whole motorbike scene literally? I mean yeah he's jealous and forced…
It is a 'funny' scene in the same way stalking someone is a 'romantic' scene (*cough* Ming *cough*). That is, people that enjoy the genre as it is will find it funny, but people that are critical will find it problematic.
Okay, here we go! LOL I know I will probably be in the minority and will probably receive some silly response…
No, I understand. Portrayal of problematic behaviors as 'romantic' has been an issue in many romance fictions, especially those whose target audience is adolescent/teen/young adult. Not to mention BL has never been good at portraying realistic relationship (what with the stereotypical seme uke roles). So I totally get it.
But at the same time I want to say that there will be a lot of wholesome moments coming. So you be the judge if it's worth missing. :P
I must say, Forth seems like the most natural actor of them all; he looks the most relaxed and animated. And imo the way they condense the novel is better in this ep, no important dialogue getting cut.
In any case, the next episode will have the last major MingKit scene, so I assume ep 10 will have the last major ForthBeam scene, and ep 11-12 will focus on PhaYo. So near toward the end already...
Can I say that I think that the Forth Beam love scene does not make so much sense? Yeah I love it it was amazing…
I understand. In the novel, it happened because Forth thinks Beam is heartbroken, but Beam says he isn't. Beam then goes to proof he has no one in his heart by showing that he can fuck anyone no string attached (which backfired because they end up with ALL the strings). But the series just cut most of the conversation.
But the characters' actual ages are never revealed.
Does that mean they did it twice? First time, then Type clean his bed, then second time, and now Type's bed is messy again.
In any case, Type must've been d**ked so good that he change from 'not having sex with you' to accepting 'booking' a few days in advance.
