Thanks a lot for the review. I don't know much about the Japanese culture, so this ‘Mono no Aware’ was new for me. As far as the movie is concerned, I should think about it more, as I paid much more attention to the positive side. But now that I'm thinking, I started to see the big picture better. As you might now, I alway focus on the relationship aspect, so let me say one thing: Your point about 'moving up the totem pole' is interesting, but I can't consider this sweet Chika as an unruly child! And regarding Yushino, she seems to me more of a sister-rival than a child, but not sure about her role, as seemingly, she has some tendency to escape from responsibilities at home. Anyway, as you mentioned, with Suzu, the dynamic changes. This is for now:)
Wow, I remember how frustrated and angry I was when I was watching this drama. I couldn't stand any of the characters.…
Can't agree more. The teacher's personality seems fake to me, totally disregarding her fiance in order to do his 'obligation' to support the student. It seems, to him, his fiance comes the last.
I really like the drama, but if Shuji had asked Mariko to help Nobuko, things would've gone much more smoothly. As a kind soul, Mariko is ready to help, plus that she is a girl so can help another girl much better. Add to this that she is the most mature person among all of them.
I watched the first two episodes but dropped it. The male protagonist seems all fake to me: At the beginning, when the woman was robbed and then hit badly and dangerously by the thief, in the most important moments, instead of trying to catch the thief or taking the woman to hospital, he just has his fake smile telling the woman: daijoubu! What's exactly ok? Are you crazy? Fuck off and do something right away!
here is a good quality version with great subs http://jp.channel.pandora.tv/channel/video.ptv?ch_userid=ads21c&prgid=51479167&categid=36999939&page=1&ref=ch&lot=cthum2_1_1
