chen yu and niang qin yi from princess silvers series is in here, with their comedic roles..... ^^
Not just that, but Zhang Yu Jian here was in another drama ("Ice Fantasy") with Xu Ke. Also, Maggie Chen and Ashin Shu (played Hen Xiang and Prince Chen in "Princess Silver) were also in "Ice Fantasy."

On One Smile Is Very Alluring Jul 19, 2019
I watched this last year, but I never made any comment on here. Anyway, I like the drama better. The movie is just so rushed, and things were changed to fit the length of a movie. But other than that, Movie-Weiwei's characterization is more of a tomboy nerd, while the Drama-Weiwei has that subtle nerdy-ness (it's not on-the-surface nerdy, like it is in the movie) all while being a lot more girly. I liked that in Drama-Weiwei.

As for Xiao Nai, both versions knew they were awesome (you can't not know, especially when other people aren't on that same level as you), but I got the impression of a little arrogance in Movie-Xiao Nai; while Drama-Xiao Nai was just like unaffected/indifferent to his surroundings, but still very down-to-earth.

Love love LOVE this drama....its the first CDrama i watched and from beginning to ending I couldn't stop....Every…
Well, actually, their storyline in TMOPB was made for the drama, not their real story. Fengjiu/Dijun’s story is in “The Pillow Book” novel (it’s 2 volumes, very long) and it takes place long after Bai Qian’s love story with Ye Hua. But the drama adaptation isn’t released yet >> https://kisskh.at/26385-three-lives-three-worlds-the-pillow-book <<

And Dilraba is perfect as Fengjiu. It’s just that TMOPB’s storyline was very different because the writers didn’t get the copyright for “The Pillow Book,” and Bai Fengjiu is much better in the novel. So, just forget TMOPB’s storyline for Fengjiu/Dijun.

I hate how people throw shades at those characters when they are the gems of the drama
Yeah. Qing Ling is what you’d call overly naive and too trusting and forgiving. She doesn’t have the heart to say “no” or stand up for herself (until MUCH later on, when she’s already had experienced so much pain.)

Other than growing up in an orphanage (her mother left her when she was very young, at the same time her father died at a lab explosion) she’s never had any hardship before the drama begins. And it’s a complete mess (with probably every cliche there is), maybe even you’d get frustrated, ‘cause it’s very frustrating.

Not only does Ding Hai, the guy Qing Ling likes, scams her for money (by pretending to be in love, and marrying her) but his mother bullies her ‘cause she wants her son to marry a wealthy woman.
And Qing Ling’s “best friend” Shan Shan secretly frames her for scamming her for money (it’s hard to explain in words how someone can secretly frame you without you knowing, but because of framing her, the Duan family treats her like she’s bad.) The mean girl Duan Xue Qing’s stepmother Su Nan bullies Qing Ling too, and Qing Ling later learns Su Nan is her biological mother (and Su Nan breaks down when she finds out Qing Ling is her daughter; so satisfying, but they eventually make up.) Also, Xue Qing’s biological mother gives Qing Ling her medicine (saying they’re “vitamins”) which causes Qing Ling to have scary hallucinations and acting out of character, and the mother secretly sends her to a mental hospital.

Other hardships she goes through: Before Ding Hai divorces her (to marry Xue Qing, for money, but he also pretends to be in love) Qing Ling goes through a miscarriage because of a soup Ding Hai’s mother made (with the intention of causing a miscarriage.) Qing Ling also goes temporarily blind when Xue Qing trips her in the dark. She also gets amnesia (after the mental hospital incident, I’m pretty sure, ‘cause I remember that after getting amnesia, she feels afraid of Xue Qing’s biological mother, ‘cause the mother showed her true colors to Qing Ling back at the mental hospital.)

The character that comes to mind is Mu Qing Ling, the main lead in “Love, Just Come,” a 60-episode Chinese drama. She’s all of this: very pure and innocent, naive, optimistic, cheerful, trusting, forgiving... she gains a lot of heartache and pain because of this.

And because the users on Viki kept saying how she was “so stupid,” it hurt me too. Like, the antagonists are being awful to Qing Ling, and then there’s the audience saying awful things about Qing Ling. Give me a break!!!

Don’t watch if you can’t handle these types of characters. Since it’s 60 episodes, it’s a long ride before you’ll see her as a stronger person.

I haven’t seen the original or the other versions. But, I do know the main leads Xing Zhaolin and Liang Jie, as they’re love interests on The Eternal Love 1 and 2 (and upcoming Season 3.) They have INCREDIBLE chemistry. I’m so happy that they’re together again, but in a different drama, as love interests.

Not sure I'd have liked a mother like that. What's wrong being "introverted" so long as you are happy?
Ikr? And it’s impossible to change an introvert into an extrovert, unless it’s possible to change an apple to an orange.
Taking acting classes doesn’t change a thing about a person’s personality - there are so many introverted actors and performers in the world.

Does anybody have any info on the book this is based off of?
It’s not based on a book. If you look at the “Related Content,” the original is the Kdrama “You Who Came From the Stars” (also called My Love From the Star.) However, I’m guessing it’s just loosely based; the summary sounds nothing like the Kdrama. And there’s another Cdrama based on both “My Love From the Star” and “Heirs” > https://kisskh.at/11048-heirs-from-another-star

I haven’t watched either Cdramas yet, but I watched My Love From the Star, and it was way better than what I expected from the summary! LOVE IT, definitely a top favorite.

By the way, China lifted the ban on “You Who Came From the Stars,” the same year “My Amazing Boyfriend” aired.

Title Eternal Love Spoiler
Okay, so I have a question that has been stuck in my mind ever since and I hope I get some help with this :,)So,…
In the book, it’s because of the way Bai Qian was. She wasn’t “gentle, gracious, elegant, and generous, but I was developing the opposite of all these traits.” Bai Qian’s mother heard about another girl who suffered at the hands of her mother-in-law, and became distraught that Bai Qian might suffer the same if and when she got married.
What made Bai Qian’s mother decide on getting Bai Qian a master to start an apprenticeship, is when Zhe Yan told her: “What she needs is a useful skill. If she arrives at her future husband’s household with magic that is unrivaled by anyone, she can behave with as much naivety and arrogance as she wants and no one will ever lay a hand on her.” And then there’s the fact that girls weren’t allowed, so Bai Qian became Si Yin.

I really wanted to see this, cuz everyone is going crazy for it...but man. Its sooooo complicated! Like is she…
It’s a slow burn, but it’s definitely worth it. It’s long, because the book is long, and the drama is in chronological order. So, bear with it, it gets better.

I separate it into Likes, Favorite, and Most Favorite
• Likes: Ep 1-7
• Favorites: 8-27
• Most Favorite: 28-58
It’s one of my all-time favorite Cdramas too, the third drama I ever watched. I love 28-58 SO MUCH ❤️

Personally, I like long dramas; I have the patience for it, and I love xianxia (Chinese fantasy) dramas the most. I have almost no problem understanding most of its aspects, or sometimes I just accept it (example: enduring a few lightning bolts to become High Immortal, and a trial to become High God/Goddess.)
No, she’s not a human, ‘cause she’s an immortal with powers. She’s a nine-tailed fox (her true form.)

I wanted to strangle her in Eternal Love. Great actress for making me hate her character.Because of her, my hatred…
For me, it was Su Jin. She was far worse than Xuan Nu. I didn’t think I’d hate another character as much, but the Empress in “Ashes of Love” ... I’m not sure which is worse. They’re so despicable.

Crystal's acting increased by many levels since I last saw something of hers, she is so much more natural now…
It’s actually Yang Yang’s real voice. He sounds the same in interviews, in his dramas, and everywhere else.

I mainly had a problem with that it’s too rushed, and I didn’t like that they changed the characterization of Ye Hua (too lively unlike the book and drama), and a problem with Xuan Nu and the fact that Su Jin was there at the Eastern banquet (as if Ye Hua would let her come along anywhere with him and with A-Li) among other story-related things. Didn’t have any problems about the actors themselves.

Is Yang Yang dubbing his own character or....? Because in Love O2O he sounds the same as in this movie.
It’s his real voice. On “Happy Camp” and interviews, and everywhere else, he sounds the same.

I don't think I will watch this one. At first I kinda shipped it, thought they were cute but then then it started…
P.S: But from what I see in the summary, as someone else pointed out too, the drama won’t follow the book exactly. They followed Bai Qian and Ye Hua’s story exactly, except in chronological order (which made the drama better and easier to understand). I hope they make The Pillow Book in chronological order too.

The Pillow Book is the actual story of Fengjiu and Dijun. They didn’t have the copyrights to it when they were filming TMOPB. It’s not a sequel or a remake. At least, I hope they stick to the novels, and put in the correct backstory (Fengjiu was in her fox form when Dijun saved her, and he never knew the fox he took care of was actually Fengjiu until 2,000 years later. In fact, in the beginning of the first volume, he had never met Fengjiu from his viewpoint.)
