The different between DYX and HMH is their voice and face shape. HMH has that very soft gaze
*side-eyes y’all 👀* they do not have the same vibe, even their walk-acting or body movements has different energy. DYX is more laxed, but HMH is always elegant or it’s refined (tbf, he did grow up in a military family so even his posture as a kid was straight)

There is a love triangle but the fl never wavers and it doesn't come into play much honestly the last few episodes…
“never wavers”? “doesn’t come into play much”? bruh, she literally had zero romantic feelings for Jeongwoo, not even an inkling, so what’s there to waver? (she didn’t even know about his feelings at the end of it all, only Yi-an knew about it)

Now that it has finished airing, do y'all recommend it? I'm looking for something fluffy and light hearted without…
It’s not fully one thing, as there’s both lighthearted as well as serious scenes. The first half is romcom though, and the final episode’s last (idk) 20 minutes is back to lighthearted; the ending is beautiful :D the romance (or rather Seong Huiju and Lee Wan) is what PC is about, not the crown. And there’s no love triangle, just a one-sided by the second male lead.

Everything went absolutely downhill after the wedding arc. After that, it’s just RSB acting as an almighty power…

😩 I read a comment saying the HK arc (and even the 2nd couple) weren’t in the original novel ??? the drama would’ve been so much better without either of them, otherwise my rating would’ve at least been 8.5 minimum.

I don’t know if I’ll watch SAB after all, judging from the comments over there. I haven’t seen RMP and I don’t intend to, but even though people said LIP is the better of the three series, I have to give this a low rating of at least 5.5 … it was just so slow-paced that I felt so tuned out. However, I loved the last episode because it was just Hongye and Huaizhu, which just makes it more clear (if it wasn’t clear already) that having too many supporting characters/too many subplots is not good for a story.

she’s been through so much too, tho 🥲 people just overlook that cuz it’s not as hellish as JBZ’s, but…
like, she loves Shifu She as much as Twenty-Seven but she didn’t tell SHIFU her secret, she was surprised he knew all along (and yes, I know about the […] for anyone who’s already finished the drama, but the point is about Ming Yi).

it's worth it. I enjoyed it oo. I think I know why we are all crazy about this drama. if you have watched xianxia…
not just the level of happy ending it has, but the amount of both the cutesy and the romantic scenes (and of course, can’t forget the sexy scenes) between Episodes 1 and 36, just being fed all the way through. and the way the romance is tightly woven into and connected to the main plot, neither overshadowing the other 😍 and Mingzai’s OFF-THE-CHARTS chemistry 🤩 just everything I wanted in a C-drama.

The problem with cdramas in general is the fact that THEY ARE TOO LONG. 30 eps is enough. More than that kills…
LITC went by in a flash for me (I remember I watched the first 7 episodes in no time at all, and could’ve done more if I hadn’t stopped myself - - I wanted to finish a previous drama first because I wanted to thoroughly give LITC all my attention), and I’ve seen so many people say the same. It’s a fast-paced drama that only slows down in the last act. Meanwhile, Fox Spirit Matchmaker’s “Love in Pavilion” is 36 episodes (like LITC has), but it is so damn slow-paced and doesn’t have even half the chemistry that LITC’s cast does – I couldn’t even manage to finish 7 episodes (of “Love in Pavilion”) in a day. A real contrast to LITC … … … The problem isn’t the number of episodes (because the anime for Fox Spirit Matchmaker has way more episodes/storylines from the comics and looks so fast-paced from what I’ve seen), the issues for live-action media is the pacing and writing.

Title Love in the Clouds Spoiler
At first, It was kinda off for me since at just ep1 they got all the 'sexy ' scenes without making it clear to…
😂 bruh, what? they made it so obvious she was trying to seduce him; the starter of it being Mingyi’s internal monologue about trying to get close to him and then starting up the act (when Lord Hanfeng tried to get his spies into Wugui Sea) and JBZ went along with Mingyi’s act. We know from the beginning Mingyi isn’t a flirt or interested in JBZ himself, so the audience already got a manual for what she’s trying to do 😭 And JBZ clearly didn’t trust her which is why he put a barrier up around the house. And later, Twenty-Seven suggested he might be hiding the GMD on his person since they couldn’t find it anyplace else yet, so that’s why the sexy scene in Ep.3 happened.

He's the evil clans youngest son aka the main bad guy. She should have known who he was as kids from his outfit,…
my original comment to you was a mere correction because I remembered differently and I added a quote from the subtitle before commenting so that I was absolutely sure I got it right - - - not an attack. you, however, told me to go rewatch it, as if I was making it up or lying.

That’s what the English subtitle said. “Common.” Don’t attack me.
The Chinese subtitle uses “普通” which means “ordinary, common, general, average.”

actually, he says that to her because it’s a trick. he actually wore a neutral robe, but implies he wore his nation’s robe to test Mingyi’s memory. In internal dialogue, he says “You really don’t remember. Otherwise you would’ve known that I wore a robe COMMON across the Six Realms that day.”

Finally, I can write my opinion cuz I've been slowly watching this after binge watching the first 25 episodes…
“my adrenaline was running through my veins almost constantly” ME TOO 🥹 and blushing / smiling like a maniac even during the angst arcs - I was and still am crazy. It’s been a few weeks since I finished it and I can’t let it go! This is THE standard for me now too.

I’m curious about a few things;I’m not a big fan of misunderstandings, especially when the second male lead…
the SML never causes misunderstandings between the leads, except to himself 😶 but for the leads, I wouldn’t even call it “misunderstanding” for this drama because that’d imply un-intentionality (like eavesdropping halfway). when the leads are in a “dance of deception and attraction” as the summary puts it, deceit is intentional - - if I lied to you, you believing it makes it not a misunderstanding because that’s my whole intention. to me, a misunderstanding is like if someone told the truth and the other person interprets it differently (whether willfully obtuse/putting words in their mouth, or on accident) and messes things up on their own; in this case, it’s not the person’s fault for the other guy misunderstanding…

ah, “delicious” is the word I thought of when thinking it in my head, I just didn’t use it ‘cause I get how that’d be weird. which is ironic considering we use phrases like “feast for the eyes” and “you’re in for a treat” without feeling shame or whatever. but yes! the payoff for the angst is so worth it, and besides that, we got to see JBZ hopelessly down bad and I love that just as much as the payoff 🤭 I mean it when I say this drama gave me everything I wanted.
