This is my comfort BL, that I like to come back to every once in a while...and Steven Chiang is a favourite!

Took me back to my younger days. This movie is not perfect by any means but it still felt so close to heart. Watched this for the first time in 2022, but watching it took me back to 1998 when I was in 11th grade. It was unimaginable in my country to see this kind of content at the time. We had had a huge controversy with a movie called Fire which showed a lesbian story line. BLs were not even heard of at the time. I guess what I am trying to say is that despite its flaws it made me so nostalgic, taking me back to my adolescent years, probably why I like it, feel for it. Coming back to the content now, I felt for A Ching and Jet both, probably the most for A Ching but ultimately I felt bad for Sam too, even though I know he did some things very wrong. The OST by Coco Lee was also very beautiful. At the end of the day, I guess for emotional and nostalgic reasons I'd keep coming back to this movie.

For Stephen Fung alone coming back to acting, I'd watch this over and over. On a serious note though, I quite enjoyed the series, there were some things you hardly find in a cdrama. I do have a few gripes but it was still a show that was quite entertaining.
