Ahh I understand now. I haven't reached the 4th case yet but judging from it tagged as Dentist Murder here, I was guessing it would be One Two Buckle my shoe.

I think so , the show was promoted by official Agatha Christie page on both Twitter and Instagram. Maybe they want to be a little serious because of this.

I also do like him, I am just missing Yun Long's previous character since these two were in the previous show. But Shaochuan is still quite likeable to me . I am a teeny bit biased towards Zhang Yun Long ngl.

I feel bad for Yun Long, in MRID even if he wasn't the one solving the cases, he was still brave and resourceful, had a meaty backstory, and he protected the FL and YiTian many times. I miss that character here and i feel that's so unfair. Not dropping this though because I love them both but yeah i feel sad about this.

Well Curtain is the last novel in Poirot series and in this story he dies. In this show Hu YiTian's character is equivalent to Poirot so that might lead to BE if they follow the novel exactly (I am really hoping they don't though)

So the reason why Zhang Yun Long's character appears to be not too smart is probably because it's meant to be that way. I mean Hu YiTian is equivalent to Poirot, FL is equivalent to Marple and so they are definitely going to be more intelligent and great at solving the case at hand. That leaves Yun Long with I guess Hastings, and if you've read Poirot, you know Hastings is not very bright sadly.

Zhang Yun Long is always so great with chemistry, be it with a FL or a fellow ML. Hu YiTian's character feels more mature than the character he played in My Roommate is a detective , lot more weary of the world. Just finished the first episode, while in terms of story it's not new to me because they are adapted from iconic murder mysteries, I am still enjoying it. These two together are so much fun to watch. Let's see how it goes in the upcoming episodes.

Yeah that's what I am understanding now. The republican setting and the two male leads are the only things common with Roommate is a detective

Yeah I thought the same too, at least my roommate is a detective was original story and cases, this seems to be taken from Poirot and Marple cases, based on the tags. Only making them younger and pretty I guess, which I don't know how to feel about honestly. I will still give it a chance though , want to reserve my judgment after I have seen it.

This was truly enjoyable. Even if the cases sometimes were not too complicated, I loved the forensic art element very much. The cliffhanger really makes me hope they will do a season 2.

This was so heart warming, and emotional. I could only watch it with auto generated subs but it was still worth it. The fact that they dealt with mental illness issues so well and this was from 2000. I have one or two gripes and writing choices that I didn'tagree with, but overall such a beautiful story , would definitely recommend this if anyone is by chance here to check this page.

Loved this drama so much. The plot, the acting, the cinematography loved it all. Sometimes it's difficult for me to watch dark themes, but I was able to with this story. Joseph Chang was amazing as always, I love him so much. Really hoping to see the season 2 soon.
