Off topic:Everybody is disclosing fans are culpable for actors relationship issue but who got them to that in…
Definitely the industry is at fault too. I know for a fact the management and companies in Chinese entertainment do this. An actor's management can buy hot topics or hashtags on weibo, use what they call "water army" to bring down their rival actor. The C ent uses the toxic fan behaviours for their own benefits instead of trying to change any of it.
maybe your problem is a lack of jobs in your country, you live on this page and you're bashing opinions, you think…
I have not used any kind of bad words, nor have I bashed anyone, I have simply given some answers. You yourself saying my country must be jobless and so I am here is in itself a nasty comment . The fact that you think I am nasty for merely stating facts shows me your nastiness. All the while I have engaged in polite conversations here . So what if I am here on this page all the time, you behave as if people don't go about posting on comments section regularly. Please point out at which moment I have behaved rudely with you or behaved like a nasty person. You yourself are the problem here, not me.
It baffles me that this show is still getting called a bromance. I mean yes the romance part was reduced but the characters are clearly gay, they kissed and had sex , and yet it's labelled as bromance. It's fascinating to me that kissing and implied sex doesn't qualify as gay, it's still bromance.
I also thought that this series was almost a Bromance, and I agree with the theory that they spared straight Larkon…
They very clearly stated they reduced the explicit scenes not because of censorship or because the actors are uncomfortable but because they wanted to tell a story about Euthanasia and put the patients and their family povs in the fore front. They also mentioned there was very instense competition to acquire the script for the channel one31. One channel wanted to do it as more action crime story, another one wanted to do it with very explicit scenes and one31 pitched their plan to put the patients , palliative care and in general the issue of Euthanasia in the forefront. Ultimately they were able to lock in the script. This was their plan for the series even before casting.
Max and Tul have great chemistry no doubt but I don't think either of them could pull off the complexity needed…
Yes they have changed it from the book, they have mentioned they did it because they wanted to keep the focus on the issue of Euthanasia. They wanted to keep the tone of the show dark. The scriptwriter and director also mentioned that Sammon the author of the novel was also in agreement with the changes because she too wanted the focus of the show to be on the subject of Euthanasia
I do agree with what you said. I am a bit tired of seeing posts and rants about the parameters of what can qualify…
Very much so. You are spot on about it. Some if us just want to like a story that we feel connected to, it can be very generic , it can be arthouse style, it can be commercial, it can be explicit and it can be less explicit. It can be anything and we can love it all. Instead I just see rants and long posts about correctness, about what can qualify as a BL , what can qualify as LGBTQ. It is frankly tiring and annoying and feels very preachy.
I must say, I’m deeply troubled by the way people distinguish between BL and LGBT shows on this website (and…
I do agree with what you said. I am a bit tired of seeing posts and rants about the parameters of what can qualify as BL and what can qualify as LGBTQ these days.
It's good, but the main thing is missing: the romance ... if only MaxTul were the protagonists
Max and Tul have great chemistry no doubt but I don't think either of them could pull off the complexity needed to play these characters. In this drama the romance is not the main focus whereas in Manner of Death the romance was there but seriousness of the case and the plot was extremely watered down. I didn't like how unimportant and watered down they made the issue of trafficking of women and forced prostitution of even schoolgirls. I couldn't enjoy the romance part of it because of this, and I absolutely love Maxtul.
so maybe you don't know, if you only watch Asian series, but in hollywood many world-famous and talented actors…
I feel like GMMTV has some actors who do well and can do well, I feel like they need to hire better scriptwriters and a better creative team and take some risks in story telling. I thought 2025 line up had some interesting things, def better than 2024, we'll see how it goes.
Boy Pakorn posted on IG about Mandate, probably filming soon.
