Same for me. I'm not a BOF kr fan either tho, BOF storyline is kinda messy and the development also sometimes bizare. But they have more character depth than thailand version. Plus BOF had more episode so they could flesh it out more. F3+Kaning in F4 Thailand always revolved around TG, so far non of their motivation are their own and not for the sake of TG. Well except Ren in Mira arc. I think people just over excited that F4 aren't as much as jerks like in other versions, so they think it's better written character

Yes, they already build up the set and story, but they didn't build up the character. Actually this is also my issue in F4 Thailand. I never feel any character beside Thyme and Gorya like a real person with their own personality and motivation, because all of them always caught up in TG. In BOF they properly build Yijung and Gaeul story and character motivation, ofc BOF also has more screentime than F4 Thailand. But even in HYD, even Soujiro and Yuki feel more like their own person despite less screentime (even tho at the end HYD butcher it to a running gag), more than just cheerleaders of TG. I think it because in other version, Kavin-Kaning's actions and motivations aren't always based of or because TG relationship.

Hmm my issue is they don't build up the relationship properly and making them their own person, not friends and cheerleders for Thyme/Gorya. It's a waste since Win and Prim had so much chemistry.

If the OP who stated has experienced of being bullied, said fine with it and like the other version better than thailand version, so who are we to question? Furthermore, I think the OP opinion is very insightful from bully victim pov. Because then again, every person experience are different and the outcome of it are too different. Even the trigger too could also be different. Ofc I also won't just recomend any HYD version blindy (except Hana Nochi Hare, that is 100% problematic free)

I agree Yijung-Gaeul story is the best in BOF. Plus KimBeom really nails that role. I have hopes for thai version, but let's see with 5 eps left what they gonna do...

Urghh don't get me started on product placement. And yeah there's alot of miss in terms execution. The editing was bad at times, the music score isn't good and the way they placed it also absurd. Even the writing and directing isn't exactlty that great too considering the lack the characterization and the development of the main characters.

For the lack of screentime, since I know ppl will come at me saying "but Akira and Soujiro HYD had lesser screentime!" which is true. BUT the characterization of Akira and Soujiro done pretty well in HYD as they come off as their own real person with their own personality and motivation. Not someone who always caught up in F1 romance

Oh no! I really get your point of view. Those scar would probably never heal and the bully comes apologizing not always a good thing. As you said it may trigger the trauma and just better to move on. And yeah the audacity of the bully to contact his victims... I also understand that. And worse, the thoughts of "do the the bully did this jus to satisfy himself (forgive himself) not because of really regreting the past action?"

I like Talay episode more than Hana. Probably because I'm so disturbed at Hana backstory that shows Hana's "ugly" face. I really don't like how they show her face cuz that makes the audience could identified what ugly face is (and I felt sory for the actress who played ugly character). But that just me.

For Talay, at first I was like "why he explain everything ala villain", but the Talay and Phupa actors put a really good performance and their story also really good. But the ammount they spend on Talay, for me making me feeling this more of Talay's redemption and his arc for not being consumed by hatred. To move on and start over than just focusing on revenge

Yes, I have notice this disjoint too from ep 4 or 5 I think? F4 Thailand tend to lose it focus on the romance part

And honestly, for me just because F4 Thailand addressing the bullying and such doesn't mean it's good-beyond-words-amazing writing. And that leads to me kinda agreeing the 2nd couple was done better in Hana Yori Dango. For me, I just feel the main characters and the development just lacking. Especially characters besides Thyme and Gorya, even tho they had screentime, they don't feel like real person with their own personality and motivation. Hence why even tho HYD butcher Soujiro and Yuki relationship to running gag, both Soujiro and Yuki feels like a real person and not just the friend of Thyme/Gorya

All ML in Hana Yori Dango will always be piece of garbage. He is always this asshole who would gave up the whole world for the FL, that's the charm. This version tried to change it, but well Thyme still piece of garbage. No script can undo him to be a good person
