Can F4 Thailand change to Talay and Phupa story with F4 as the villains? :D I seriously love Talay and Phupa's story and would love to get more story from their side
1. In the warehouse scene, Gorya pleads to Thyme to fight the assailants back, but Thyme doesn't do it because…
I think it because F4 Thailand change a lot of stuff to "correct" the whole Hana Yori Dango story, so some things become disjointed. For me, Makino isn't really a person who dislike every violence. If use for self-defense or if the person is someone who worthy to get some hits, I think she is mostly on board with it. Or if the fights is fair, I also think she is okay with it. But in F4 Thailand the message of anti-violence is very prominent hence why Thyme stopped using violence and Gorya isn't on board whenever Thyme using violence. In warehouse scene, Gorya using the lines of Makino (pleads to Thyme to fights back), but the situation is wayy different. In other version, Domyoji not fighting back not because he has promise to stopped and already distate violence, but because Junpei/Sakurako ask him to or else he/she will hurt Makino. So it become disjointed.
I totally agree with the second point. I think they want to show that Gorya is caring to Thyme? Or maybe they want Thyme-Gorya to have this kind of dynamics (with Gorya beats him up again)? But it just lose all the purpose of anti-violence and anti-bullying.
F4 Thailand mostly follows Hana Yori Dango 2005 drama version. It basically almost the same scene by scene up to episode 4. Episode 5 follows the taiwan/chinese/korean version more with Thyme saving Gorya from bully (the jdrama version deviate so much from the others). Ep 6 follows HYD 2005 again with Ren comes back, the zoo date, and Ren-Gorya hugging at the end of ep. Ep 7 also follows HYD 2005 (minus the part where Thyme exploded on the lab, it's only happen on F4 Thai) with F4 breaking up, Gorya-Ren date, F4 fist-fight. Ep 8, 9, 10 are mostly original from F4 Thailand with elements from each adaptation version and original manga source.
Gorya in all the versions never accepts her feelings for Thyme openly till the end, almost till the end. I hope…
Every drama adaptation versions except the japanese drama. Because the jdrama split up the story to 2 season and a movie, so in the end of season 1 Makino/Gorya already fully accepts her feelings for Tsukasa/Thyme and even had a good long distance relationship for a while
I don't really think the author was that influenced by that poll tbh. In an interview, she described Tsukasa's…
Thank you for the confirmation. I think I'm using the wrong words before. The author not entirely made the story on the basis of readers likeness alone. I think at first she intended to make Rui the love interest, but it's true as she was writing, Tsukasa's character become more and more pronounce
Oh boy this is gonna be long… So basically all of them are toxic in some way, so you just gotta pick your poison.…
Oh I haven't watched it, but I love Kame 🥰 but I know more of his works as idol in KAT-TUN than his drama tho LOL (I'm a janiswota). I love him in Nobuta wo Produce and Boku Unmei, plus his dynamics with Yamapi is the best XD
Oh boy this is gonna be long… So basically all of them are toxic in some way, so you just gotta pick your poison.…
LOL yeah I get you. Hana Yori Dango is definitely not for everyone, I love it but I know there's a lot of issue with it. Hence why I recomend Hana Nochi Hare more to people, especially those who can't stand the violence, abuse, and toxicity in whole Hana Yori Dango franchise.
ah! I also love Jdrama and I also notice your Kame pfp 👀
All right, folks.I am not a fan of the BOF story in general. Why should I try this one if I've hated the toxicity…
Oh boy this is gonna be long… So basically all of them are toxic in some way, so you just gotta pick your poison. I only watch the thai, korean, and japanese (my favorite).
If you’re asking me, which one with the least abuse and toxicity it’s the japanese version, Hana Yori Dango (2005, 2007) hands down. As in their relationship isn’t abusive cuz they’re always equal. The ML never hit or almost hit her, never assaulted her, and there’s no scene that resembles it. ML also isn’t possessive or overly jealous. If the FL chose to be with another person, he won’t do something possessive like attacking the guy or forcing the FL to be with him. The FL is also a very strong person who takes no bullshit, she is not spending time moon over the ML all the time instead she tries to move on when the ML acts like shits (especially in early s2). BUT the ML is this big tsundere and oresama character, he is harsh and crazy. If you also want the ML change, well in this version he doesn’t really change LOL. He and the FL just grew up. There’s also no storyline in which he for example apologizes to his victim, or gets very bad repercussions from it. He did get his character growth in s2 that makes him realize his responsibility as the heir and what he did could impact people's life. Anyway for the ML in japanese version, honestly if this isn’t a romance, he will be the perfect villain LOL. But you know that quotes that said “Hero will give you up to save the world, but villain will give up the world to save you” is very much ML in the japanese version. Plus the main leads chemistry here is the BEST of all. It’s imo a powerful and beautiful love story.
Now for the korean version. Indeed the ML isn’t as harsh or as violent in general. But for me the relationship is toxic as there is a lot of manipulation and possessiveness. The FL character also isn’t really good. But this version is funny, entertaining and if you’re more of a kdrama person, you maybe like this one better cuz the japanese version is very wacky and ridiculous (very early 2000s jdrama with exaggeration).
Now for the thailand version… hmmmm. It’s dark as they’re not shy away from toxicity or abuse, but they tried to call it out and stuff. But for me, it is still abusive and toxic. In this version, imo the relationship isn’t as healthy as the japanese version but the ML do get repercussions from his past actions.
So yeah there you go. If you want to watch something that is not problematic, toxic, or abusive AT ALL, I suggest you don’t watch any of the versions. Instead, I recommend you just watch the sequel of Hana Yori Dango, which is Hana Nochi Hare cuz in there, they play the same tropes and stories but 100% problematic-free.
Nah, the only reason thyme even act angry when he sees gorya and talay is only after he saw talay being overly…
Lita is the collateral damage. She is not a saint, but it's really sad what gonna happento her cuz she is such a sweet girl! Yes, maybe she knows, but Thyme do ask to date her and TRY to love her. What else she could do but to trust him and try to make a move on him? He did give her false hope. Also she only really make a a move on him after they're dating. She is desperate, but what's wrong with her being desperate to make Thyme love her?
About that kiss, as someone said that she forced it on him, I'm not gonna comment that it's commendable move.
Do you think we will get the amnesia thyme? In other version they have this lost memory scene right?
Honestly I don't know XD in every version there's amnesia arc, but the MG 2018. I personally love the amnesia arc and it's probably my fav arc in Hana Yori Dango S2 2007
Currently in 2nd episode, so far what happened I really really hate Thyme. If I was in Gorya's place, even if…
Well... the manga was created back in 1992 and the author actually intended to make Tsukushi/Gorya ends up with Rui/Ren while Tsukasa/Thyme supposedly be the villain. She change the story half way cuz the reader seem to like Tsukasa and Tsukushi interaction more than Rui and Tsukushi. Because Tsukasa and Tsukushi indeed more entertaining than Rui LOL. Well cuz the media is manga, we don't feel the horror as much as we see it on live action. The tone also helps ease it out in the manga.
This manga also made when Japan economy isn't so good and people like Domyouji's family are so powerful cuz they are untouchable by the economy bubble. Hana Yori Dango or Boys Over Flowers is a classic not because of the bad boy trope or bullying trope, but because what Makino Tsukushi did is beyond words. She is this powerful character that defies all.
We also need to keep it into account how manga industry works in Japan at that time. So basically the longetivity of this manga are very much based on rating/popularity by readers per week/month depending on the magazine the manga is in. The mangaka are pushed to keep it interesting in every chapter and keeps the story goes on for forever until the popularity starts to drop then the manga will be canceled and ending.
And to answer your question, Will I accept Thyme/Domyouji/Junpyo/Daomingse? My answer is no, because I'm not Makino Tsukushi.
Nah, the only reason thyme even act angry when he sees gorya and talay is only after he saw talay being overly…
Yup agree on this, cuz at the end he finally try as he throws the cookies and go out with Lita to the prom. But still what he did is an asshole move 😂 regardless of why. He did ask Lita to date him, giving her false hope that she could be with him. He did acts and mendle with Gorya even when he already date Lita and they already broke up.
Oh don't worry, I always frustated and thought all ML of BOF are asshole in this part of story. I'll like him again latter after he cleans up all the mess he made
Nah, the only reason thyme even act angry when he sees gorya and talay is only after he saw talay being overly…
Hmm what I mean with Thyme pushed Lita isn't just with the kiss. I don't blame anyone for the kiss actually. What I mean is Thyme pushed Lita out of him physically and emotionally. He isn't trying to be with Lita and get to know Lita.
Nah, the only reason thyme even act angry when he sees gorya and talay is only after he saw talay being overly…
Well, for me Talay doesn't look that suspicious to Gorya, but maybe that just me. Also even if Talay being overly touchy with Gorya, it's not suppose to be Thyme's problem anymore since they broke up. Unless gorya shown any signs of being uncomfortable with Talay which I didn't see.
Well for the kiss, it hurts but it is Gorya's choice to cutting him off. But Thyme also chose to date Lita. He should honor that and really try to love Lita. But he pushed Lita while still moon over Gorya.
Ofcourse I know Thyme is the one who fighting for them. But in ep10, Thyme is an asshole.
For Gorya, I see alot of people complains she trust Talay too easily. And why won’t she trust Talay? He is relatable to her, he helps her looking for jobs, and what he said about F4 isn’t really wrong especially from his point of view. He indeed gets a bit too chummy with her, especially if there’s Thyme. But Gorya blaming Thyme for “pushing” Talay is not wrong at all. Even before that happen, I already thinks Thyme is an asshole LOL. I mean Thyme and Gorya already broke up and he already chose to date Lita. But what did he do when he sees Gorya with Talay? He acts like his boyfriend and being jealous. Not to mention saying she is “easy” when in fact he is the one who already dated Lita *sigh*. After they broke up, Thyme not even try to win Gorya back and not convince her to stay with him.
For Lita, I don’t see why people hate her? She is so nice and sweet. Maybe she knew Thyme-Gorya had a thing, BUT Thyme is the one himself who said he will date her and try to love her. Gorya also already said she is just friends with Thyme and even congratulate her. She is only a girl who try to be with someone she likes. Plus they also already engaged. She isn’t try to take Gorya’s place, Gorya willingly give it and Thyme give that place to Lita. I feel so bad for Lita :( Thyme you asshole.
For Talay, well we gonna see his backstory in ep11 but even as bad as he is, he is a monster that Thyme created. It is low what he did and he goes as far as hurting Gorya. But that’s not entirely Talay’s fault, it’s Thyme’s too.
For Thyme, I have no word but asshole LOL. He played with Lita and Gorya hearts too much by being indecisive. If he wants to be with Gorya then go fights for it, if he wants to give up then he should REALLY TRY to love Lita. Don’t be an asshole by dating Lita, yet still thinks about Gorya and act like her boyfriend.
The one thing I think this version has done right is the how Gorya and Ren relationship pans out. We’re almost…
The korean version Boys Over Flowers definitely went overboard with Jandi-Jihoo relationship. The thai version more closer to japanase version in Gorya/Makino and Ren/Rui relationship
You know, something you said really hit home for me: That Thyme should "learn together" with Gorya.I just really…
I think it's fine if Thyme want to tackle the problem alone (it's his afterall), I don't think Gorya should necessary help him clean that mess up (other than emotional support which she already provide btw). But him saying to Gorya to "be patient" in that situation is more like an empty words. How long should she be in misery like that? Why Thyme didn't assure her more? It made sense she gave up.
Ofcourse Gorya isn't saint either. She should have talk to Thyme about how she feel little in his world and she is tired of this. But considering she still hasn't acknowledge her feelings, it's more reasonable that she backed down. Why stay in misery if you could just get out...
Anyway, yes at this point they shouldn't be together, yet. If they want to be together both must be willing to guide each other (anyway Gorya already guide Thyme in her world), learn to navigate life and problems together, and fight for their love in equal furry.
For me in a drama where either ML/FL is rich and the opposite person is poor and the poor one tells this to the…
Yes it's the insecurity talking, therefore Thyme should have boost her confidence. He should guide her and learn with her how to manage their relationship
I totally agree with the second point. I think they want to show that Gorya is caring to Thyme? Or maybe they want Thyme-Gorya to have this kind of dynamics (with Gorya beats him up again)? But it just lose all the purpose of anti-violence and anti-bullying.
