what do u mean? was scarlet heart season 2 canceled or something? as I remember it was kind of guarantied... I…
Scarlet heart s2 exists in china but apparently the story was butchered for censorship reasons and became super trash. Thats probably why the second season was never adapted in
Okay here is my thing, I can say that I think Nirvana in Fire is better than The Story of Ming Lan. Its pacing is much smoother, its easier to binge, it's also just brilliant! But idk why I will also choose The Story of Ming Lan over NiF if I have to choose a top 3.
I'm a tad confused. The synopsis says the show is about the overthrow of Wu Zetian, but the casting doesn't show that anyone will be playing as her. Is she an off-screen character or will someone be casted as Wu Zetian? I am literally only watching this to see Wu Zetian so... 😅
Lol looking at the comments and im surprised how many people said the same thing I was thinking. Gong Hyo Jin and Lee Min Ho are two actors I would not expect to play side-by-side. It makes me super curious about the story now when I think of the kinds of roles these two have played in the past. GHJ tends to need some sort of uniqueness in her stories, sometimes eccentric. LMH's earlier work isnt as strongly associated with eccentric as GHJ but Personal Taste comes to mind, and the flashy historical fantasy Faith as well. It makes me wonder if the casting director is trying to tap into that. Which makes me SUPER curious about the story. This could be an interesting drama brewing.
so i recently watched The Raincoat Killer and I've been watching Story of Yanxi Palace and one thing that made me curious is there's a common thought pattern between the serial killer and Yanxi's character Yuan Chun Wang. They both were looking for signs from people they cared about to tell them to stop. Yuan Chun Wang wanted Yingluo to fight back against him, while Yoo Young Chul seemed to want his son to tell him to stop murdering.
There seems to be a common pattern amongst serial killers where they get increasingly sloppy, or make mistakes on purpose. I've heard that it's because they want to become famous after getting caught, but part of me wonders if its something different. I've worked with kids who have behavioral problems, and one kid has always stuck with me. He liked to test boundaries as extremely as he could. He wanted to know how much he could get away with, and with who. He was very daring, smart, and manipulative. It was explained to me this was partly because he was neglected at home, and figuring out his boundaries was a way for him to find safety. It was incredibly unpleasant for us, but for him it was like a way of survival.
I wonder if the same is true for people like Yoo Young Chul. If being a serial killer is about finding that boundary with society. Maybe figuring how far he could go until he gets caught is like some odd way of psychological survival. I can't say I understand that line of thinking if I'm honest. But I wonder.
I was honestly surprised by most popular drama list. i mean i knew these were like legendary titles that were super popular back in the day, I just didn't expect them to stand the test of time.
i've been hesitating to watch this just because people have said Color Rush was a bit underwhelming. is it still worth watching?
