Ew, I just remembered that after Kris and Karn caught her brother with that girl, Karn was like "wow, I didn't…
Thank God, I thought I was the only one. Everyone was joking about it, I really didn't like it. And the dialogue after that scene was also so uncomfortable. If I wanted to see a scene like that, I'd just turn on the TV. 😂
It is confirmed, OrmFolk will have another project together. A producer from Kongthup confirmed it. They've been fighting for 2 years to get their own series. We got "Apple My Love" and while it was cute, it could have been a lot better. Let's just hope the next one will be better than this one!
Wasn't this supposed to come out this Friday? Has the studio said anything about this? I was really, really looking forward to this since I loved "Reverse 4 You" but I must admit, I'm so tired of always getting 8 episode series when BLs get 16 episodes.
I must say I did enjoy this series, it was pretty cute and funny at times but it had its flaws, of course. I thought it was very interesting in the beginning, then lost its focus and moved WAY too fast (maybe because it had only 6 episodes planned). The production also had a small budget and you could tell. There were also too many characters in the middle of the story that I did not even care about and too many unnecessary storylines. I wish Meen/Sol had a proper ending and closure but they just left it at, "they're still very close friends." I do hope we get to see Orm and Folk in a better project in the future. I never read the book but I feel like this could've been done 100x better.
Was it really, really necessary to see that explicit scene between Kris' brother and his girlfriend in episode…
Ew, I just remembered that after Kris and Karn caught her brother with that girl, Karn was like "wow, I didn't know your brother was so strong" and then Kris wanted to prove to Karn how much better than him she was. That was so damn disgusting. Why would you even put that in a GL series? I might be biased here but if I'm watching a GL series, I don't want to hear about or see anything about a hetero couple. That was so uncomfortable.
I am absolutely loving this. We need more GL's with this level of quality. We've had some good ones but the ending always disappoint me and they don't have enough episodes either. "Pluto" is brilliant in all things, the acting, the soundtrack, the story, it completely captivates you at first sight. I do hope the ending ends up being satisfying because this has the potential to be one of the best GL's ever, right there along with "The Loyal Pin".
Was it really, really necessary to see that explicit scene between Kris' brother and his girlfriend in episode 4? What the hell was even that? Kris and Karn don't even take their clothes off but I had to see that on my screen. It's a GL series, for God's sake.
This GL was amazing. The story was amazing, their acting/chemistry was amazing, the OST was amazing and it will remain one of my favorite GL's ever. Despite this, though, I must say I did not like the ending and some of the things they incorporated into the series. First of all, the ending felt really abrupt. Wan/Pleng were acting like two immature, silly teenagers. I don't mind jealously but that was a bit too much and it felt like it had no place in the last episode but in a filler episode, maybe. When the words "the end" appeared on my screen, I had to make sure I was watching the right part because it felt really weird to end it like that. I could not understand the writers' motivations to end it like that, it had no reason or explanation behind it. Second of all, I hated the amount of men in this series, it was really unnecessary and the amount of screen time they had was INSANE. I also hated the fact Ekk had so much focus on this series and had his own redemption arc when he was an abuser who couldn't take "no" for an answer, stalked Wan, took pictures of her, broke into her own house and threatened to kill her and Pleng and then ended up shooting himself and we were supposed to feel sorry for this guy. Even Wan and Pleng gave this guy too much of their own time, forgiving him for things that should not be forgiven. It's really a crime we didn't get the complete wedding scene but we got the scene with Ekk and the doctor that nobody really asked or cared about. I love LMSY and I loved this series but it had its own flaws and they really needed to get rid of the men and make better writing decisions for it to be perfect. They're lucky the work of LMSY was so good, the series ended up not being compromised in the end because the ending was a risk and it made no sense to anyone.
I loved this GL but for me, the last episode ruined it all. I couldn't even feel sad it ended because it all happened so fast. I guess that's what happens when you try to incorporate a novel with over 600 pages in a 8 episode series where each episode is not even over 40 minutes in duration. A story like this needed, AT LEAST, 12 episodes, if not more. It had everything to be one of the best GL's ever but unfortunately, they had so little time and too many stories to incorporate in the last episode. The last scene was also unnecessary. The Khun thing did not need to be addressed again and the Four/Kie situation, while very important on the novel, made no sense in the series because we had no relation to the character of Kie and their relationship was not as developed as in the book. I really loved the characters, I loved Wa/Four and I loved Vivi too but in the last two episodes, there was something lacking. I wish we had one last scene between Wa and Four. I will definitely miss them very much and I'm sad this series wasn't all it could be in the end.
I don't know what I'll do with my life after this series ends. Considering episode 7 will be devastating for us, we only have 1 episode left. I wish this series were longer. 8 episodes feel so short. There are so many things I would have liked to see: more episodes of just teasing (like it happens in the book), more delving into Pleng's trauma, etc. Why do GL's only get 8 episodes lately? I can't take it.
This series is really, really underrated and it deserves a lot more recognition. It's one of the best GL's right…
Also, I recommend everyone who haven't read the novel, READ IT! While the show is really, really good, it's only 8 episodes long and they cut a lot of things that were integral to the story. The novel is also very, very good and you will also learn a lot more details that you didn't know before and were not mentioned in the series.
This series is really, really underrated and it deserves a lot more recognition. It's one of the best GL's right now. I wish they didn't put it on Netflix only because I feel like that killed the show's success rate. You could put it on Netflix but you should do it like 23.5 and put it on Youtube and also Netflix. A lot of people didn't hear about it which really makes me sad. This is such a good one.
Ugh, I can't believe I had to sit through one more episode focused on Pat and Dean's drama. The show would be SO much better if it just focused on Love and Rain. I think Dean and her ex deserve each other and I wish Pat wouldn't end up with her but I guess we can see it from miles away that's what's going to happen, unfortunately. Dean's one of the biggest red flags I've ever seen in GL's lately and I can't stand her.
This such an easy lighthearted watch and I absolutely adore the fact that there are no male love interests or…
You put my thoughts into words! Obviously, I know it's not a big series and it has some flaws but it's a good one to help escape the drama of the other ones and find some comfort/escapism.
Thanks for the reply!
