Li Xun made one mistake and got punished for it. So what? She should just stop loving him because of that although she knew his circumstances? Technically she wasn't even waiting for him and moved on with her life. He is not toxic either. He never did any such thing to her to be called toxic.
Watched epi 36 last night and I honestly don't know what to do now. Although it's a happy ending I still cried watching the end. This is one precious little gem. Feiyu and Jingyi breathed life into their characters. It was one of my most anticipated dramas this year, and it was worth the wait. In fact, it surpassed my expectations. What to say about the chemistry? A lot of co-actors have good chemistry in other dramas and look fabulous together, but I can't remember the last time I saw a couple so real. At times it felt like watching a documentary of a real couple who filmed their precious memories to watch it together with their grand-children on their 50th anniversary.
This is such a well-written, well-directed and well-enacted drama. The OST is wonderful. It's a 10/10 for me. I actually would give it a hundred if I could. I have plenty more to say, especially on how the revenge arc and the ending played out but I am actually feeling a bit exhausted, so I'll share my thoughts on them later.

It happens a lot. Many popular stories have both drama and film adaptations but usually both don't reach the same level of success. Feiyu and Jingyi breathed life into LX and ZY. It will be hard to even reach that level no matter who gets cast in their respective roles.

He asked and she willingly gave it back to him. He did what he did coz he didn't want to drag her down.
