If anyone here watch cdramas on yt channnels, don't ever read the comments there if you don't want the whole drama to be spoiled.
Yet to watch epi 23. One line from LX in epi 22 stuck with me. It's when he said he has no family, no friends and that he trusts Gao. I felt so sad. If only he realized he was not alone and there are/were people willing to stand by his side ( besides ZY ofc). Hopefully in part 2 LX will open up and let people in.

Yes, I noticed that part in the drama too. Also her dad said something in the study... 'going abroad would instill something in him'...or something along those lines. I don't remember the exact words, but that sounded so wrong.
ZY's parents are terrible people. I especially dislike her father now. ZY mom has at least been consistent with her behaviour and we knew she is judgemental and didn't like LX at all. But the dad seemed nice and understanding at first only to slyly hurt LX's self esteem during the dinner. LX had already planned to avenge his sister and he did expect ZY's parents to embarrass him but if any one of them had shown a little kindness and consideration towards him, maybe things would have been different. I would have understood if they were just worried about ZY's future and wanted her to study abroad but there were better ways to put forth their point. Also, LX's business proposal was not that bad at all. I mean if they are ready to help him study abroad, they can also help him expand his business, right? It's a legitimate proposal. LX and ZY have been dating for three years, why should he not know what her dad does? But they chose to jump to conclusions and completely disregarded all his achievements. I think it's not just because of his expulsion and the contest result, they have an issue with his family's background too. Had LX been from a rich and well connected family, they wouldn't have cared about all that stuff at all.

Oh so you're an experienced viewer then. With time, people get very selective when it comes to drama watching. Happened to me with kdramas as well. Better to wait and watch the ones that really stick with you. This one is indeed beautiful.
