The drama has ended for some and I suppose a few of you are gonna move to other drama discussion pages. I am still gonna be here and I'd just like to say that I really enjoyed interacting with everyone here. I love the atmosphere of our L&P page. Everyone here is chilled out and I hope it continues to be so.

Stories and concepts need not be entirely unique. It's the treatment of it, that makes all the difference. For this drama, they were able deliver something different from the rest. It could have been just another youth, romance drama but it turned out to be much more. Yes, I agree the leads are beautiful, but they both delivered commendable performances. Their chemistry made all our hearts flutter. Even the supporting cast gave decent performances.
There are some popular tropes, but it didn't look overdone. The storytelling is engaging. Everything is balanced here. So while I do agree that the handsomeness of LX and the delicate beauty of ZY is a treat to the eyes. Attributing 98 % success of the drama to their looks is a bit disservice to their talent and a well-conceived a show. If everything depended on looks, good looking actors wouldn't have flops as their are plenty of them.
Having said that, I like beauty too ! Who doesn't? It's just that everything about the drama is beautiful.
Many people here have felt sorry for Gao from time to time, including myself. There have been some commenters who said that LX has been quite rude to Gao in the past. Well yes, LX has been blunt and he could not communicate well with anyone but that's how he conducted himself with everyone and not just Gao. He didn't sugarcoat things, wasn't diplomatic. LX's bluntness has nothing to do with how Gao has turned out to be. . Even in epi 28-29, I was beginning to feel a little bit sorry for despite everything he has done, thinking that he just craves some love and attention for XLN but seeing how he went on to treat her in such an appalling manner the next morning, all that vanished. He is just despicable.
Regardless of how LX treated him, he would have turned bad. Even if LX was nicer to him and the three of them became partners, sooner or later he would have betrayed LX. LX's behaviour was consistent with everyone but he still reached out to Gao a few times. Some people just accepted that LX is better than them is certain aspects ( Wu Mengxing and other base members), others acknowledged that LX is a genius but it's not good for their self-esteem to work with him, moved on to other things and didn't hold grudges ( Fang Shumiao). And others loved/liked him and accepted him the way he is (ZY, Ren Di, FYZ , Prof. Lin). Basically, most people understood that this is how LX is and just got on with their lives). If Gao really wanted, he could have left the base and totally distanced himself from LX and ZY. But he didn't. He chose to stick around and that fuelled his jealousy.
I think his partnership with FZJ only works because FZJ is willing to a take a back seat. They got a ready made company, they have money and fame and FZJ is fine with all that. Gao just cannot bear to be overshadowed. He is driven by his jealousy and greed and has a super inflated ego on top of everything. People have called LX arrogant, but the real arrogant one here is Gao and that will be his downfall.
So tell me what happened? What hot jacuzzi scene? And why are some people calling it filler epis when there's a hot xunyun scene? Nothing is filler between these two. They are in the process of getting back together. I don't have to see it know it. I'll get back here to gush about whatever went on between them later after watching it.

Can be both depending on the person and the situation. In the past ZY may have been LX's weakness but in present times, I think she will become his strength. That's my prediction. This is where Gao and Fang will be mistaken I suppose. They'll think they are dealing with the old Xunyun but this is Xunyun 2.0.
YES the hug scenes are amazing. how can hugs be just as sweet as the kiss scenes? they look so warm together.…
Forget cdrama, I don't think I've ever seen that in kdramas. A lot of onscreen cps do hug tightly but it ends up looking like they are squashing each other.

While I do think a lot of onscreen couples have good chemistry, even some of the most famous kiss scenes don't impress me. Many actors just look like they are acting and others just look awkward. But here it's not even just the kisses, the hugs really make you feel like they (xunyun) are each other's everything. I doubt they would collaborate again soon but I'd love to see them again in a very different drama setup.
Their kisses are hot!!..among the very best I've seen in asian dramas but I just love their hugs so much. It's like they are melting in each others arms. How do they do it? Kudos to CFY and ZJY for delivering such brilliant acting and breathtaking chemistry.

Melons are melons. Read the same thing about TLP a few days ago as well. I think we can safely assume all networks big costume dramas are gonna air in 2023.
I miss the drama badly. what am I a going to do when this ends? Are they really doing the fast track on wednesday? I know it's makes many people excited but I am just gonna be sad that it completed it's run so quickly.
