I see a lot of people being offended by the comparisons with LBFAD and this show. As someone who watched and enjoyed…
I read that they lengthened episode duration to meet the episode count limit for one season rather than splitting it up and having to wait to release the second season
Not feeling it after the recent episodes honestly.I started this drama because I really like Ding Yuxi and Peng…
I'm struggling with this one too. I like the cast but the way the FL character is written in the drama is too abrasive and stupid with only random moments of cleverness. Her behavior doesn't make much sense to me.
Ok, so I see there are a lot of changes from the novel to the series:In the novel, Ji Man transmigrated into a…
The novel and the drama are almost completely different Novel explanations are kind of irrelevant to the drama because the drama characters don't have the same personalities or actions
I’m just gonna accept the fact that I’m not gonna move on from TSL anytime soon. 🤣😭
I tried a few dramas, even finished one short one that was very good but now nothing's holding my attention and I'm back to reading comments about TSL 😅 and hoping for more goodies from this production
Since you'll be checking out their old dramas, I really recommend the Director's Cut of Goodbye My Princess (for…
PXR and CXX have amazing chemistry, it's worth watching for them. Like 13Fireflies mentioned, there are extra eps that are happy. You can think of the sad parts like a tragic xianxia arc and then they're reincarnated as a happy modern couple.
I was waiting til it finished to start this and I am glad I did. I don't think I could wait for new episodes.…
Since you'll be checking out their old dramas, I really recommend the Director's Cut of Goodbye My Princess (for CXX) and My Huckleberry Friends (for LLD)
I liked the context for this in the novel, happened a bit later
in the novel, ML did not like FL for a much longer time. After he developed some feelings, he was nervous about taking her on a trip to the temple because he suspected that she was possessed and something might happen to her at the temple. It was a rare sweet moment of concern from him
If it follows the novel, she DOES leave him!!! It was my favorite part...she showed him she was independent, didn't need him, and could escape his control. He was desperate to find her.
I loved the drama starting with a bang. What followed seems a bit incoherent: so the FL died and her body was…
The original story is that a modern woman transmigrated into that body but because of worries about censorship, the screenwriter did not explain it outright. I like that they seem to have kept the concept. Not sure where the twin sister comes in, not sure if that description was wrong or if that will come in later. Also, ML is more unlikable in the novel to start. The faults that you complained about are things that FL didn't like too. One thing I did like in the novel is that FL did not like this man right away. There was a slow development for them. Childhood trauma is a drama invention, cliche.
How did you read the screenplay? Do you happen to have a link to the screenplay?
