This is CP marketing - it happens in a lot of dramas to create hype Ignore rumors that a couple is dating unless…
You do not know that for sure, this is your speculation. I'm not saying they are dating but this is not factual to assume it was deliberate for marketing. But I do agree with you that CP marketing exists and flirting doesn't mean they're dating
I might drop this if I don't warm up to it in a few episodes. The changes they've made so far to the story are…
I'm a big fan of the novel so i understand hoping the next couple eps turn around for you. I saw videos where the author JLFX talked about working on the changes so maybe they will work out afterall
i've been frustrated with how they've written her almost the entire drama
Definitely made sense for the writers to make him sympathetic but I think they overlooked her too much. It's hard for the audience to root for the romance if they pity him and hate her.
That beginning part with the kneeling in the cold was straight from the book but I think it wasn't quite portrayed in a logical way. I think she was not supposed to make sudden changes so that people wouldn't suspect she wasn't YXW. Also in the drama she was supposed to be suffering from PTSD after *just* watching her family and sect get slaughtered. The script offered bits and pieces of this but did not really communicate it consistently. It was hard to make sense of her because her behavior was inconsistent, sometimes she made sudden changes from YXW's previous behaviors and sometimes she did not look all that shaken up in between the time travel and his punishments
I guess I shouldn't be surprised about all the attacks on LSS. Beyond the way in which the writers characterized…
agreed, her motivations sound too lofty to relate with but that's even more reason why the writers have not done right for her character. they focused too much on making ML sympathetic. they should have done some more to help the audience relate with the pain she suffered, her dilemma, and her commitment to this noble cause. it is harder but other dramas have been able to help the audience root for that, this just hasn't been as successful since I'm seeing all this lss hate everywhere
I'm optimistic - the book is really great but hopefully they'll not mess with it too much. LBFAD I think was better…
Warning, the producers forced the writer to stretch out The Legends a ridiculous amount. The cast was really good though I agree with your feeling about the other JLFX adaptations. Legend of Shenli is also filming so you might want to read that as well
I feel like if Aiqiyi produced it they might stick to the novel more and be more authentic
The author herself worked on the script so I wouldn't be too worried. She said in a video that she wrote it years ago and wanted to fix some things she perceived to be weaknesses
Perhaps it's an unpopular opinion but I was a bit weirded out by the doll arc. She's literally wearing a high…
i skimmed comments on douban and another interpretation is that he likes dolls and toys. he doesn't like her as a human girl but a toy. he's embarrassed so he denies that he plays with dolls. i thought there might be something to this because he loved the squishy toy that yiyong gave him from the claw machine. he happily attached it to his backpack

hoping that does not represent the rest of the work

Some of the best bromances in recent dramas are in The Blood of Youth and Pledge of Allegiance
For modern, Crossfire and Our Times (2021) had a nice bromances
