The toxic social media activities are not Wei Daxun's fault anyway. He's actually a victim of that as well because Yang Yang has a large fan base and now there are all these fans hating him for things that are out of his control.
I'm a big fan of Yang Yang but I've also been impressed by Wei Daxun's acting for a long time. Even though I haven't loved the dramas he's in, his acting has been reliable. In Shuttle Love Millenium he played two very different roles so well too. It makes me sad to see all this irrational toxicity and animosity.

Her mom may have been influential but we don't know for sure. What we were shown was that there was gossip and assumption that she had gotten the job through her connections but separately we do know that she is a talented doctor (even the old man acknowledges her skill)
It is possible that she could have gotten that job regardless of her connections because she is educated and talented.
Question for those who have read the novel. Are SY and Jiang Yu brothers?
In the novel Jiang Yu is the son of the man whose mistress was SY's mother. SY's mother had a son with him who was taken from her and raised by his wife. There's not much about him in the novel but Jiang Yu might be that son. Not sure if they're going to keep that in the drama but they did show the flashback about SY's mother while he was talking to Jiang Yu.

I agree with this view. A lot of people call these episodes filler but I like that they are starting anew as adults. It is more believable to me than relying on their high school memories. Most people change and I like seeing them develop their relationship. Also, I prefer seeing their relationship build, rather than getting together too quickly for 40 episodes which can mean a lot of breaking up later.
