Idk if this is related but I saw both of the promo from Ddeundeun / pinggyego / Yoo Jae Seok Youtube Show. Si Wan on bestfriend episode and Dr. Cheon on the episode with Lee Dong Hwi and Kang Ha Neul. I remember watching both of this episode and after that, the movie they promote really stuck in my mind.
Pinggyeyo so far has so many viewer that things they promote gets a huge viewer, ofc it also because the product itself is good but this show manage to make show famous. I remember seeing Zo In Sung , Han Hyo Joo and Cha Tae Hyun and then watch moving because of this episode.

I love how you add the no serial killer and leads who want to be together.
As I've watched several romcom this year and based on my memory for the past romcom , these two plot seems to be present every where I look, especially in the last 5 years.

I hold back writing a review for this drama since I've read the webtoon but I agree with everything that you said.
Ahn Hyeo Seob (ML) can't act and the script makes Taemu a low budget Chinese romcom cliche protagonist . He is a different guy and he is a resolute guy. His charm is that he is nice, confidence and he makes good conclusion, he sees the end and pursue it. Taemu is smooth and Hari is slick but this drama makes them like 15 years old playing 30 years old who has a job.
I am so disappointed with this drama. I think I'll rate it higher had I not read the webtoon but reading the webtoon makes me want to give minus point for several aspect of the drama.

He is on the rolls this year, I feel like I've seen article about him in new show every 2-3 months.

yeah, this is one of my grip with this drama.
Imo, in the editing and the flow of the story, they make everything into a question or mystery and withhold the answer even to the smallest things. They can just answer the question or give a definite world building, not everything needs to be reveal like some sort of "surprise" or "unpredictable", we need continuity and some sort of ground to hold for the mystery to make sense.
I've had this with several mystery related drama this year.

I remember an actor in Knowing Brother old episode said that super tall actor actually lie to make them shorter like saying they are 188 instead of 190 or like 179 instead of 180.
Appear too tall actually makes them hard to get paired with the other actors.

One of the reason for me to rewatch some episode is because all of the cheesy line that he took away after he said it.
"you know I didn't want to say this right?" sort of feeling.
Kdrama just makes your fantasy comes true. These cheesy line is how Kdrama got its charm.

I think King The Land has excellent chemistry and the build up is nice, as viewer you know they are interested and each other and will try to flirt when they are given time to spend with each other.
Destined with You has the male lead ramping up his love confession but there is not much playful interaction from the female lead (script wise).
I think it will be better if they give fast paced dialogue between the leads.
Like in KTL, they talked a lot, some time about mundane things regarding themselves outside of the plot but it gives the good payback later, you want them to talk about themselves and not the plot.
I did feel some chemistry between DWT and like you said, it feels like it should be more intense.

I haven't watch the latest episode but I still feel the same with this drama.
I can point out the flaws and how bad some part of this drama but it's always entertaining.
I am not feeling the chemistry as much but I like them both, idk why but I have this problem for all of Jo Boah drama except the military Doberman. I feel like her romance chemistry is way better in non romance drama.
In Sum, this drama is like the upcoming trainwreck that you just can't help to admire.

The editing is definitely an issue, this has been happening in other drama as well where every question will not cut to the answer.
Not everything should be a mystery, even in mystery and fantasy genre.

NY doesn't want to let him go and in my recollection, he tried to break up more than once and has been expressing his desire to take a break every time they met.
Even without spells, NY just doesn't listen.

How do people posted finished review before the drama finished airing ?
Like this drama has review from 5 August with all episode seen but this drama aired in July 31, 2023,
I've seen this in every drama and every time I see finished review posted while it still airing with info like all episode seen, I immediately squinting my eyes cause I just can't take it seriously. At least Dropped tag with bad review is more understandable.
Is it like you write a review, posted it and edit it later?

Yeah, this drama makes me feel like they don't know what to do with Solhee and to the extend Kim So Hyun. I am more interested in her story and how her power works but it feels like just a convenience plot and she is relegated to the spunky bright character to bring the light to the male lead.
I don't think male lead can act but the first few episode is fine when the plot can carry the show and like you said, it just the plot meandering to places that's uninteresting and full of annoying character.
At least the episode near the ending is good.

I don't think the whole series deserved 1 but when I saw the 10 episode, yeah I get you.
I finished the series but it should've started from the middle cause that's the interesting part but even after finished it, the supporting character acted better and has better story.

I still watch it because well I watched drama and I'd like to finish this but it just doesn't get better. One things I feel really sad is there is no chemistry for the main lead and also, the male lead acting is bad, like you want to root for the lead but he just isn't there.

Idk if people agree but this is mirror the slightly messy real life relationship .

In some relationship you get together because you think you are good partner and then you met other people, most often through work and feel the chemistry, this is when people get people get swayed.
In real life, the answer is clear cut but also blurred in the process because you need time to find out your feeling and pick the relationship you want, like break up or stay. This is not a one week thinking but also doesn't mean you are green on pursuing/act if you want the new relationship. You can't force people to like you and marriage is not about meeting the right person but the right person at the right time.

It just this show has love spells and I don't fault the ML and FL to keep the status quo, they need the status quo to disappear first before confronted their feeling.

I also really enjoy the "cheating" plot line.
In a way, I get that people feeling's swayed to other person they met, in relationship there will be some "urges" but the point is if you will changes line and have the heart to to stop your current relationship or will you be a coward and two timing when you know this isn't right/crossing the line.
With Shin Yu, this line is blurred because there is spell in between so he knows, he is very aware that he is swayed and not enthusiastic about the marriage but he also knows that this swayed feeling can gone and he had this relationship going smooth in the past 2 years. I also feel that he doesn't chose the engagement as the gf proposed, everyone knows, the family knows each other, the circumstances forces him to agree.
With Hong Jo, I get why she also want to kiss him, I mean he gives her loves and attention, he always there and she doesn't think it's real. She has nothing and technically, he likes her first and she also has this idea that it will ends. She said it, it's easy for her to like her.
With Jae Kyung, I also get his feeling. He thought HJ just admire him and he did reject her but then he realized that she is genuine and he also adore her after getting to know her personally.
I don't think the male lead and female lead has much romantic chemistry (to be fair, the shouldn't have it a lot because she doesn't supposed to like him or even courting him). I like the situation they find themselves, I love how he just said those cringe and sweet line and she is like "yeah I get it, it's not genuine".
It does drag but it's kinda my guilty pleasure. Where else you can find this dialogue aside from this drama?
I don't expect the romance to be complicated and despite being messy, the only one I can criticize the 2nd female lead because she keeps saying stuff about keeping the "relationship" but frequently has other person.

I lowkey really enjoy this, it's so messy that it's good.
also I think the drama suffer from script that always try to be vague so whenever shin yu just talk about the contradiction between his feeling and his thought, I appreciate it so much.
His monologue is the best for me, he feels real and ridiculous at the same time

I write small and quick on the spoiler comment because I don't want to elaborate more, I couldn't spend more time about it. Not because I am not watching it, just doesn't worth it.
Also you should open your view if you think this has big international buzz, maybe in the beginning and in idol forum but it's being on viki already hindered the buzz already and it's not even pulling the same attention as my dearest.
