Noooo! WinterGarden will always be the ultimate pairing for me and probably the role that will most remind me…
It's a good thing for the actress as she's getting more recognition and able to act together with the "hot shots" like SJK. Wintergarden will still remain there, untouched, it's a drama afterall and the actress is not the character right?
I'm really happy she's getting more offer because it means we can still see her even after HP ends. We really should support her.
I'm only sometimes watching this because of my love for Jung Kyung Ho but I find it as boring,if not more,as season…
Idk.. do you have a favorite drama that's slice of life? Maybe it's not your genre..
I think it's totally fine to drop a drama that you don't enjoy. Especially overhyped ones (even though I thoroughly enjoyed this and slice of life is my genre). I dropped so many popular ones (DOTS, Go Ahead, etc) lmao. It's a struggle.
I dont care if a drama is toxic, as soon as it gives me the vibes i need then i'll give it a go xd
Fr. Half of these series are the ones in my fave list, i've just realized I enjoyed what others considered "excessively toxic" lmao.. i wonder what's wrong with me :/
The 2 most ridiculous scenes in this drama were the one when the pigeon and his friends rescued Vincenzo and when…
I enjoyed it a lot, but Mouse is.. a lot of things lol. Very different to BE.. but it's still really good. It's feels like typical crime kdrama, but the twists, mystery, and manipulativeness is turned up a notch.
The thing that makes it bad is the editing, sometimes it's too confusing/abrupt that it disrupts the flow of the story, but I get what they're trying to do so.. it's fine ig. You've got to watch the Mouse: the Predator after the 15th episode (a really good side story, must watch) to really appreciate the change of perspective.

I agree with you, might be because we're looking from his perspective or the side that supports him, the cruelty is subdued by much. If we see it from third person perspective e.g. the police, it will look more gruesome. I came to understand this from watching Mouse, it's all the matter of perspective. But, murder is still murder, especially the one that's done with such sadistic method. Thankfully Vincenzo doesn't actually enjoy the feeling of killing people. And honestly it seems he's dead inside, like murder is such a normal thing to him, like breathing, no remorse nor happiness in doing that.
Please, don't be discouraged! Articles like these are the one that I read in full, usually I just skim them. Keep writing a good and well-thought article.
I am also on a diet actually. Dramas are one of my route of escapism and it's gone so bad. So now I am on a diet :) I decided to just allow myself to watch on weekends and I am currently only watching Mouse.
I agree with you but we're actually.. kinda opposite on the things that we watch. I usually only watch the realistic and thought provoking ones (crime/murder tag and slice of life ones are really good). I do cherry pick dramas tho, usually by reading reviews (those low star reviews help a lot) but being in MDL really prompt me to watch more, especially the popular airing ones (talk about the feeds lol). I avoid the ones that 100% don't match with my values, especially those that beautify and normalize it. I think portrayal of toxicity without condoning it is really good amd important, but definitely should only be watched by adults.
I guess, even the definition of empty content differs from person to person. I've met someone here who reject any physical violence in their dramas, whose dramas -I would describe- only contain kisses and rainbows and annoying SML. For me this is empty content, but for them this is a hardly found gem. Sometimes, I enjoy these things too tho (extraordinary you lol) but it's so rare.
Also, my healthy eating plan is actually no drama at all. Only by leaving the dramas that I feel so light and comfortable, but people look at you weird if you don't watch these things.
i find oh bong yi funny because she runs to bareum to kill him with knife knowing he isserial killer.is he a joke, she…
It's a different case between JBR and KDS. Bong Yi has a personal trauma with KDS, she won't be able to kill or even hurt him because of that trauma. It is irrational fear. While with Ba Reum, it is anger because he killed her grandma, and anger easily turns into violance. Plus she has trained for years so she have the confidence to actually beat him. Even though she has tried and failed miserably.
Honestly this one is really gruesome. Very dark. I think, OZ might be closely connected to Han Seo Jun and they might be partly controlled by him. He is so sus, it's like he got a say in so many government affairs and he is still in the game. The experiment might be a joint project between him and the gov to create human weapon from psychopaths. dr. Lee may or may not be involved. Just a thought.
I honestly think this drama needs a few rewatches to fully grasp the nuances and development of each character. Yeo Jin Goo's character shouts youth to the viewer in an annoying way, pure in the heart but reckless in every move. The way this guy pester Lee Dong Sik in the first 8 episodes feels like a leech, unable to be shaken off. The last 8 episodes tho show a beautiful character development in his part, in a good pace. Lee Dong Sik is really a phenomenal actor, he shows his expression in his eyes and expressions, really strongly. Often times I was captured in it. My first favorite character is not the leads, but Ms. Yoo, a strong female character that is not necessarily physically strong or extremely book smart, she is an emotionally strong woman. She really stands out despite being a side character. The rest of the cast did amazing job, the story is simple, but still unpredictable. And it is really.. gruesome, like it's korean title, monster. The story itself is better suited with the english title /Beyond Evil/ which I interprete as goodness. Because beyond evil, there is a vast land of goodness, and it shows in the morale of our 2 main leads, even though sometimes they use evil ways to achieve goodness which I don't agree with. Overall an astounding piece of art. Totally need a rewatch. This one get an easy 9.5stars just for the cast and writing.
The rewatch value of this show is so high because you're going to watch it through a totally different lense,…
Omg yes, I've just finished watching it and honestly, it feels like I missed a huge part of it and my head is still confused. The details are immense and every characters are important. I think this needs 2-3 times rewatches to fully grasp all the great points and motives in it.
I am loving the overflowing admiration towards Mr. Sunshine, YES, cuz we need to see Kim Tae Ri with every single one of them in a romance (yikes, my heart is still in pieces). And omg I am sold on everything, the first one should not have frustrating love triangle cuz sometimes it's what drives forward chinese historicals.
"Baek's character was a cutie teen, but I'm sure if they let him be 1 % of his real, calm self (behind the cams), he'd nail the serious type well." I see you're a real deal!! Yes, byun baekhyun needs to go back to small screen and hone those acting skills. I miss kyungsoo in dramas too. And it'd be interesting to see the EXO the Movie with luhan, lay, kyungsoo, and baekhyun (which is borderline impossible) and other members who are interested in acting!
Edit: and YOU, yes you Professional Drama Writers who lurk in MDL for inspiration. You see the post and I see it too. I see you getting inspired. Better credit XingBack and The Butterfly for whatever you're concocting right now. oh, and give them their plane ticket and drama set pass they deserve ;D
