If none are blood related… is that Korean law that has issue with this?I really don’t understand. I can look…
I can only speak for northern America, but if anything I feel like it'd be more of a laugh there since most of our interpersonal social structures aren't as rigid in comparison (Korea is strongly centred around seniority / deference to elders) -- so like it'd be 'interesting' in an awkward or funny way here (maybe potentially weird or off-putting? depending on the exact situation of each / how they got together) but more often than not it'd probably just be a bit or a gag and folks wouldn't really care because there's less focus on individual position with regards to others

i would personally disagree but that may just be a matter of my own background (my view is that each half of a couple is marrying into the other family, not a one-way exchange) -- with regards to the show though they went through a lot of effort to have Kwang Sook convincing the brothers that even with her husband gone she was still part of the family/wouldn't be leaving them + her cajoling them into viewing her as a real sibling and not just as an in law + her deciding to be an eagle sibling and 'rebranding' the group to that instead of being brothers (five eagle siblings vs five eagle brothers)
while her remarriage could be viewed as making her no longer a /legal/ in law since on paper she has a new spousal connection, to me the show has gone through a lot to convey that the relationship goes beyond that traditional structure and they've made themselves a new family together -- I doubt that would change because of the chairman (and seemingly so does he, since he recognises the importance of the brothers to her and how much she values their relationship + well-being / being connected to them)

I think their comment is - mainly - related to the chairman and Bom (his daughter). based on love lines the two will technically be marrying into the same family (the chairman + eagle's oldest sister (in law, but they all decided to treat each other like real siblings); Bom + the youngest eagle) and how that would impact their relationships with/amongst the siblings
using Kangsoo as an example the chairman would be both his father in law and his brother in law and usually when dynamics like that start to appear in dramas there can be back and forth about how to handle or which of the relationships should actually be pursued (or stopped) because of how hierarchical Korean culture can be. here however they seem to be skipping that entirely by positioning the chairman to take on an older brother role from the beginning
I think 2020 jung hae in & chae soobin drama peace of your mind was lowest in mon &tues slot with 1%rating and…
I don't even mean filler -- off the top of my head: that entire sequence of the twins' Barbie house money fantasy could be cut, all of the Kang as a money god sequences from when Santi and Seung Jun found out about the lotto ticket could be cut, the vast majority of Eve / Ryong looking out at earth longily or in deep thought shots could be cut, various zoomed out 'from space' looking into the space station shots could be reduced, lots of the mice close ups / mice POVs could be reduced, that voiceover sequence of Ryong talking about his moms and childbirth from the first episode could be reduced, Ryong flailing about in space after jumping out the hatch to save Eve could be reduced, and there are plenty of others
granted everyone may not agree with all of them and some could still be of interest to keep but few actually actively contribute to the story vs just being used for some type of emphasis or gag
Cant believe Eve did that? Who is obsessed with flies and mice birth? But she distroyed perfectly normal morula.
to be fair it's not like she knows where the eggs and sperm actually came from -- space rules aside Kang told them that he *stole* sperm from another astronaut and that the eggs were a donation for fruit fly comparison. the whole thing is illegal in so many ways and incredibly nonconsensual for both Santi and the supposed Donor (since the org provided them for comparison not fertilisation + birth). also Santi is married! yes he wants to have kids and part of why he is in space is to figure out how, but he wants those kids with his wife, not some random woman from who knows where that no one knows anything about

I honestly think a lot of the show could be cut without affecting the plot -- there are so many freeze frame / extended long shots and random sequences that are just there to 'look cool' and don't really add much else
unfortunately though, since they spent so much money on including them as special effects, they're probably unlikely to remove them now lol
So he is actually a director and not a secretary. I keep getting confused between the two as the initial title…
it's technically both! the title is director but a large part of role itself is secretarial -- he's in a high level administrative position that caters to the CEO but also supports org staff and general workplace function (that's part of why they were looking for someone who also had an HR background)
I'm missing something here. Hee Joo's adoptive father is "fine" with Sa Eon's grandfather "causing" the accident…
I wouldn't say he's "fine" but rather that he was willing to put aside active revenge -- even after hearing that the real PSE was killed he still made that deal with the grandpa about the family having to give him anything he wants whenever he asks and has been snide towards/dismissive of the family members (though less so PSE) on multiple occasions
they're a tool for him that he has decided to use instead of get rid of
Me too, I didn't understand the thing about the twins and what it has to do with Park Do Jae trying to kill Hee…
one of the four missing children from the orphanage was a twin and their brother is PDJ. the children who went missing from the orphanage were actually killed by the real PSE (their bodies were in the black bags that PSE's grandfather gave to the fisherman to dispose of). because (real) PSE killed his twin brother, PDJ is out for revenge and is targeting HJ likely so that (fake) PSE can also lose someone he loves. the issue however is that PDJ doesn't know that there are 'two' PSEs and he's targeting the wrong one
Novel spoilers ahead... The biggest one (which has already been hinted at in the drama) is that the male lead…
I get why the real BSE has it it for 675, but why would his fake mom? has it largely been presented in the novel as spite for being forced to have her biological son replaced by someone else (and/or wanting her real son back now that she's found him)?
It’s not Inji’s trunk. It’s Seo Yeon’s trunk that was being stolen.
the company she and her fiance (seo do ha) worked at offered employees some kind of homemaking/newlywed class as a benefit and he was the instructor! that's when the fixation started (and how he and SDH also became familiar with one another -- he was the one who sent the photos to her mom as a way of breaking them up)

she stored all her marriage contracts and manuals in there -- he wanted the trunk so that he could have proof to expose her relationship(s) and NM so that IJ would "fall from grace and have no choice" but to be with him
Agree regarding the grandparents' questions! But how was it that all the neighbours thought Charim & Taewoong were…
she was constantly going up to his apartment to visit him at night / making random visits to drink with him -- it's not surprising folks would think they were together somehow since she was consistently there (and didn't have an official boyfriend she introduced to someone) plus if they've seen her around him her behavior is flirty
This is the 2nd comment I've seen referencing TW. Couldn't find the character's name even though I know y'all…
romanising is the process of translating the characters (letters) of one language's script (alphabet) into a Roman-based script -- in this case I'm using it to refer to translating Korean text into the English alphabet, but there are lots of roman scripts (languages) and the practice itself is a particular branch of transliteration
if folks didn't romanise Korean in discussions posts then they would be typing the person's name in Korean using the actual Hangul text from Korean keyboards
since not all letters and sounds exist across all languages, there are aspects of transliteration where folks use the best match in the translated language to refer to sounds made in the original language -- 우 to Woo / U is one example of this and you'll notice that amongst Korean actors with this character, how they officially spell their name in English is based on personal preference -- both versions are accepted though so that's why you see folks (here) using either or
