just to remember and also bcos there was only one episode today ;-) i found the scene where they take a "walk" to the dock (?) and ye li tells mxy about her mother....it is in ep. 16 from the 10th minute on....such a lovely scene....anyway....i wanted to check if she could have told about how her father and uncles tortured her for the edict....but it was too early then....anyway....until the marquis told him, mxy had NO idea at all of her mother's involvement in the edict drama....hence, the deep misunderstanding....

😆😆😆😆i would ssssoooo love that job!!! but you know, when one is angry and disappointed, it is impossible, even for the most rational person to suppress those feelings.....i agree with you that he didn't have to stay for so many days especially after he got her to let go of the imaginary qinshuang.....but then you have to remember his own guilt with his role in his brother's death...on top of that his feeling that ye li still doesn't trust and so possibly doesn't love him....i think it would be expecting too much healing too soon even on the part of mxy, if we were to expect him to get over his hurt feelings so soon......so while i want to agree with you.....my heart feels for mxy....and also of course for ye li....bcos we all know how hard it is to tell an unpleasant truth no matter how much we want to especially when the trust is not yet absolute.....🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 my heart hurts so much for both them....each trapped in their own insecurities, unable to crossover

hhmmm....he knows that the grandmother killed her....but am a little hazy on whether he knows about the actions of her father and his brother's.....how they tormented her for the edict....he may be under the impression that her mother handed over the edict to the consort dowager....you may be right...but i wonder if this gap in knowledge may be the cause of mxy's anger.....like you said, he's not dumb....and he does truly love ye li....oh!! also mostly i think he is angry bcos she had the opportunity to tell him....so her not telling him means that she doesn't trust/love him like she said she did.....maybe THAT is the cause and not her mother's actions at all...

i don't think they actually separate because i think ye li will go to lishan with mxy...as part of the pacification mission.....mxy does not break his promise to never leave her alone....me thinks she will be subjected to the cold silent treatment....which is justified, no?

i have to disagree....all the actions were very realistic....the empress would use the marquis' son to threaten him to keep shut about her role....the marquis would take his frustration out on mxy....and mxy would be heart-broken by the reveal.....and ye li would be shitting bricks about the foreseeable future....bcos when they saw the play together, she had the opportunity to confess but she didn't take it.....i thought the whole episode was just pure pain and heart-break on so many levels.....after all pain does not discriminate between good and bad people....the marquis for all his evilness did really love his son and he knew that the ed would kill him if not worse....which is what happened, the clueless guy was made a commoner and exiled.....

well...his brother was publicly humiliated and decapitated along with thousands of soldiers of his army....remember he is a soldier also....plus he himself suffered the pain of being crippled for so so many years..."knowing" about her mother's end is not going to displace ALL that.....definitely not in that instant at least and for all that he recovers pretty fast....that shows the depth of his love for her....right?

am wondering if "illness" was not natural.....how did she alone get excluded if it was a naturally occurring illness....of course am just guessing....and also would the "whichever psychological disorder" she has be as bad if it was a naturally occurring illness....i think it was a sinister "induced" illness like poisoning that took place before she returned after her mother's death....ugh!!! can't wait for the next two episodes....you think the whole reveal will happen in today's episode or will they stretch it?!?!??😣🥺😣🥺

oh wow!!! so poignant....the story of the drama (ye li also has to wait for the next episode and pay subscription fees 😉), the parallels to their story....her hidden anxiety....mxy being so rational but sweet at the same time.....the tone that ryan cheng has maintained with her since he got over his anger has been just wonderful....it is so deeply loving without being overtly sweet....i hope he has a loooooooong monologue for her at lishan 😍😍🙏🙏

oh!!! one thousand percent....this has to be bai lu's most complicated character so far.....and she has played her brilliantly....the weightloss was totally worth it.....she has to get all the awards for this performance...

me thought the same....so i am thinking maybe she trained but never "concsiously" fought anyone.....you know like if someone has learned swimming only in a pool may not feel like they can swim in the ocean....maybe it is something like that....so when attached, her subconscious channels her teacher but she has faith in his fighting skills....this is all just me guessing 😊

you know....love and anger and disappointment and consideration can all co-exist!! so possibly he is a little angry about the edict issue (it would be unnatural to not be, right?? no matter how much love there is), he could be disappointed that maybe she lied about loving him...he could be considerate of her mental health and think this may help....so i think it is all of those....that's what love is like, right....never just love only, mostly

am still not convinced....i think they are doing it to lure out the enemies on the cang bei side...
