I see. So many people talk about SDM/2Cops as his best performance or in positive terms. Hmm, so what are some well rounded characters in K-dramas then?

" thought he was really weak in Strongest Deliveryman and Two Cops but really strong in Startup and Catch the Ghost." In terms of his acting, or they way he didn't grasp the role? Or the writing of the characters?
The funny thing is that the writer took a masterpiece (a really good story) as Cyrano and tried to add a kdrama…
Oh I know, I meant in the way he said the lines. If it was too overtly dramatic or indifferent, it would've faltered. He knew the right tone to say those lines.

His theatre work is more varied! He's played a cheating scumbag, a serial killer, a creeper, and next a loud/mean detective. Hmm, what are the type of roles you would like to see him play? What do you think his potential is? Do you want to see him be the next Cho Seung Woo or Jo Jung Seok?

"I've actually seen him at both ends of the spectrum. I thought he was really weak in Strongest Deliveryman and Two Cops but really strong in Startup and Catch the Ghost. I think the better the character the better he is." Do you think his characters sorta overlap with one another? The self-less man in pity who has a heart of gold? He's sorta a bit type-casted? Really enjoyable and charming actor! But I feel like his baby facedness can be a hindrance.

Funny you say that, a lot of HJP's things we liked were improvised from KSH himself. The floating behind the head hand, and the delivery of the confession scene. As well as other little things.

Yes, he does have good chemistry with anyone. But you're only as strong as your opponent, so a strong actress is also very important. I much rather see him being paired with the like of a Shin Min Ah, Im Soo Jung, and Moon Chae Won type of actresses. I also think the more confidence he gets, the better his portrayal is. In SDM, the PD weren't so sure of his portrayal at first. Whereas in Start Up, the PD there respected his choices and allowed him free reign to experiment.
" Actors like KSH make me sad and frustrated that there aren’t better roles and dramas out there for him. K-dramas are for the NJHs and the Suzys, not the KSHs." Well considering he moved on up to fame big time in just 3 yrs of his tv debut, I say its excellent, no? That being said, he's not an idol nor a teen heartthrob. His choices vs NJHs and Suzy are starkly going to be different. That being said, yes, Insta/SNS followers/CFs weigh more on PDs choosing them in the end. But there are cases where the better performer does win, plus years of experience/awards help too.
"It’s just that in those scenes in which he is well written I can see the potential his character had as a male lead and the potential KSH has as an actor." IA. HJP was his breakthrough role. Now, the hardest point is making choices that grow his potential as a top talent. Or else he's going to be known as HJP forever, that he's going to get burdened by that level.

Also as cable became more popular in the late 2010s, they had to conform to mainstream standards. Also 2007, a law by the Korean Television Committee was made so certain taboo stuff weren't shown on Public channels ://
We can easily say that HJP is a tailored made role for KSH to make a new Korean Hallyu wave nationally and internationally.…
Ah, KSH!!! You make it hard on the fans lol! On one hand, great he has 2d1n to de-stress, but all it shows me is he needs another avenue or way to de-stress in private. It's a bit alarming for me. Maybe when he settles down and has kids lol? I mean does give us great acting man!! Please take after your health!! It feels like he's trying to please everyone rn. Hope he focuses on his play and/or next project. Not everyone can handle huge fame.

That is over true. Gotta love an actor that goes back to their home based even after fame. He said he does dramas for his parents, who seldom go to the theaters. But he also mentioned that he wants to debut in film soon.

Np! I got what you meant :) His agency is obviously pushing him to be a star, with opening a Japan fan account, V-Live, Variety, MC, and etc. Is he ready to forgo a lot of things for that? Hmm, not sure tbh.
I hope Mr. Hong gets fast tracked fast, so there won't be any delays. UGH!! I worry about Here (It's been like…
Yep!! Glad we're both on the same page lol! I feel like she was amazing in FoE. She could've been overshadowed by LJG, but damn she held her own!! KJW is also talented, but I've yet to be moved by her acting. As for age, she's the same age as KSH, he's older than her by a few months! And she has shown to do well with romance too, look at her and SJK. They sold it, and he's also baby faced like KSH. She already has worked with tvN multiple times, and has proven her worth ratings wise as an actress. Either way, I just hope it's someone talented really.
Shin Min Ah is positively reviewing the script so I don't think she would reject the offer and KSH is popular…
I found the tweets of his 'fans' saying the insulting words. Gross. SMA is a really good actress btw. I never not seen her not do well lol. Plus, she creates believable chemistry with anyone she works with. She's also a really kind and lovely person in rl. She donates $100,000 annually to burn victims, and personally visits them in hospitals too. I mean, don't you want your favorite actor to work with not only an established veteran but also a really good person as well? "KSH will get a guidelines from his co star won't it be amazing for him?" Exactly! Lee Joon Gi said he was un-experienced in the kissing department lol, and Shin Min Ah was really helpful towards helping him with the kissing scenes lol. This will be a great and new teaching experience for him, esp. b/c this will be his proper full length romance series!!

His fast rise to fame since his tv debut is crazy!! As for him being a Hallyu star, does he even want that? He said he doesn't care about becoming famous or popular. Hallyu stars, I mean eh I suppose!? I much rather him become a great actor, in theatre/film/drama. If he does become a SJK type of fame, he would've to forgo a lot in his life, such as theatre/privacy/less projects due to becoming more selective.
His character in CTG was great! Really lovely. Again, cold on outside, soft on inside role. But his relationship with MGY was cute!
